Recount My favour to thee and to thy mother. Behold! I strengthened thee with the holy spirit, so that thou didst speak to the people in childhood and in maturity. Behold! I taught thee the Book and Wisdom, the Law and the Gospel and behold! thou makest out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, by My leave, and thou breathest into it and it becometh a bird by My leave, and thou healest those born blind, and the lepers, by My leave. And behold! thou bringest forth the dead by My leave. And behold! So in the year of Conquest of Mecca; Saad took him and said. This is my brother son whom my brother has asked me to take into my custody. Abd Bin Zama got up before him and said; He is my brother and the son of the slave girl of my father; and was born on my father bed. So they both submitted their case before Allah Apostle. Saad said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! This boy is the son of my brother and he entrusted him to me. Abd Bin Zama said; This boy is my brother and the son of the slave girl of my father; and was born on the bed of my father. Allah Messenger ﷺ said; The boy is for you; O Abd Bin Zama! Then Allah Apostle further said; The child is for the owner of the bed; and the stone is for the adulterer; He then said to Sauda bint Zama; Veil screen yourself before him; when he saw the child resemblance to Utba. The boy did not see her again till he met Allah. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1704		Narrated Aisha: Utba bin Abi Waqqas said to his brother Sad; The son of the slave girl of Zama is my son; so be his custodian. So when it was the year of the Conquest of Mecca; Saad took that child and said; He is my nephew; and my brother told me to be his custodian. On that; Abu Bin Zama got up and said; but the child is my brother; and the son of my father slave girl as he was born on his bed. So they both went to the Prophet. Saad said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! This is the son of my brother and he told me to be his custodian. Then Abu Bin Zama said; But he is my brother and the son of the slave girl of my father; born on his bed. The Prophet ﷺ said; This child is for you. O Abu Bin Zama; as the child is for the owner of the bed; and the adulterer receives the stones. He then ordered his wife Sauda bint Zama to cover herself before that boy as he noticed the boy resemblance to Utba. Since then the boy had never seen Sauda till he died. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-2383		Narrated Ibn Abbas: Allah Messenger ﷺ said; Nations were displayed before me; one or two prophets would pass by along with a few followers. A prophet would pass by accompanied by nobody. Then a big crowd of people passed in front of me and I asked; Who are they Are they my followers? It was said; No. It is Moses and his followers It was said to me; Look at the horizon. Behold! There was a multitude of people filling the horizon. Then it was said to me; Look there and there about the stretching sky! Behold! There was a multitude filling the horizon; It was said to me; This is your nation out of whom seventy thousand shall enter Paradise without reckoning. Then the Prophet ﷺ entered his house without telling his companions who they the 70;000 were. So the people started talking about the issue and said; It is we who have believed in Allah and followed His Apostle; therefore those people are either ourselves or our children who are born m the Islamic era; for we were born in the Pre-lslamic Period of Ignorance. When the Prophet ﷺ heard of that; he came out and said. Those people are those who do not treat themselves with Ruqya; nor do they believe in bad or good omen from birds etc. nor do they get themselves branded Cauterized. but they put their trust only in their Lord On that Ukasha Bin Muhsin said. Am I one of them; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ? The Prophet ﷺ said; Yes. Then another person got up and said; Am I one of them? The Prophet ﷺ said; Ukasha has anticipated you. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-292		Narrated Ibn Shihab: The funeral prayer should be offered for every child even if he were the son of a prostitute as he was born with a true faith of Islam i.e. to worship none but Allah Alone. If his parents are Muslims; particularly the father; even if his mother were a non-Muslim; and if he after the delivery cries even once before his death i.e. born alive then the funeral prayer must be offered. And if the child does not cry after his delivery i.e. born dead then his funeral prayer should not be offered; and he will be considered as a miscarriage. Abu Huraira; narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said; Every child is born with a true faith i.e. to worship none but Allah Alone but his parents convert him to Judaism or to Christianity or to Magainism; as an animal delivers a perfect baby animal. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-4911		Narrated Aisha: Utba Bin Abi Waqqas authorized his brother Saad Bin Abi Waqqas to take the son of the slave-girl of Zama into his custody; telling him that the boy was his own illegal son. When Allah Messenger ﷺ went to Mecca at the time of the Conquest; Saad took the son of the slave-girl of Zama to Allah Messenger ﷺ and also brought Abu Bin Zama with him and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! This is the son of my brother Utba who authorized me to take him into my custody. Abu Bin Zama said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! He is my brother; the son of Zama slave-girl and he was born on his bed. Allah Messenger ﷺ looked at the son of the slave-girl of Zama and noticed much resemblance to Utba. Allah Messenger ﷺ said; It is for you; O Abu Bin Zama as he was born on the bed of your father. Allah Messenger ﷺ then told Sauda bint Zama to observe veil in the presence of the boy as he noticed the boy resemblance to Utba and Sauda was the wife of the Prophet ﷺ. He is the son of my brother and he has taken a promise from me that I will take him. Abu Bin Zama said; He is my brother and the son of my father slave-girl and was born on my father bed. Allah Messenger ﷺ said; The boy is for you. O Abu Bin Zama. Then the Prophet ﷺ said; The son is for the bed i.e. the man on whose bed he was born and stones disappointment and deprivation for the one who has done illegal sexual intercourse. The Prophet ﷺ told his wife Sauda bint Zama to screen herself from that boy as he noticed a similarity between the boy and Utba. So; the boy did not see her till he died. When Allah Messenger ﷺ arrived in Mecca during the Conquest of Mecca ; Saad Bin Abi Waqqas took the son of the slave-girl of Zama and took him to the Prophet ﷺ Abd Bin Zama too came along with him. Saad said. This is the son of my brother and the latter has informed me that he is his son. Abd Bin Zama said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! This is my brother who is the son of the slave-girl of Zama and was born on his i.e. Zamas bed. Allah Apostle looked at the son of the slave-girl of Zama and noticed that he; of all the people had the greatest resemblance to Utba Bin Abi Waqqas. Allah Messenger ﷺ then said to Abd ; He is yours; he is your brother; O Abd Bin Zama; he was born on the bed of your father. At the same time Allah Messenger ﷺ said to his wife Sauda ; Veil yourself before him i.e. the son of the slave-girl O Sauda; because of the resemblance he noticed between him and Utba Bin Abi Waqqas. Allah Apostle added; The boy is for the bed i.e. for the owner of the bed where he was born ; and stone is for the adulterer. Ibn Shihab said; Abu Huraira used to say that i.e. the last statement of the Prophet in the above Hadith 596; publicly. He brought his goods and placed them by my luggage and I said: It is intense heat. Would you not place that under that tree? And he did that. Then there appeared before us a flock of sheep. He went and brought a cup of milk and said: Abu Said; drink that. I said it is intense heat and the milk is also hot whereas the fact was that I did not like to drink from his hands or to take it from his hand and he said: Abu Said; I think that I should take a rope and suspend it by the tree and then commit suicide because of the talks of the people; and he further said. Abu Saeed he who is ignorant of the saying of Allah Messenger ﷺ he is to be pardoned ; but O people of Ansar; is this hadith of Allah Messenger ﷺ concealed from you whereas you have the best knowledge of the hadith of Allah Messenger ﷺ amongst people? Did Allah Messenger ﷺ not say that he Dajjal would be a non believer whereas I am a believer? Did Allah Messenger ﷺ not say he would be barren and no child would be born to him; whereas I have left my children in Medina? Did Allah Messenger may peace upon him not say: He would not get into Medina and Mecca whereas I have been coming from Medina and now I intend to go to Mecca? Abu Saeed said: I was about to accept the excuse put forward by him. Then he said: I know the place where he would be born and where he is now. So I said to him: May your whole day be spent. SahihMuslim-017-001-19455		It is reported on the authority of Abu Muawiya that the Holy Prophet said: Every new-born babe is born on the millat of Islam and he remains on this until his tongue is enabled to express himself. So he that person came and said to the Holy Prophet : A child was born in my house and I wanted to give him the name of Muhammad after the name of Allah Messenger; whereas my people did not allow me that I should name him after that sacred name until I have asked Allah Apostle ﷺ in this connection; whereupon he said: Give him the name after my name; but do not call him by my kunya; for I have been sent as a Qasim as I distribute amongst you. Indeed the children of Adam were created in various classes. Among them is he who was born a believer; lives as a believer; and dies a believer. Then a boy shall be born to them; having one eye in which there is some defect; providing little use. His eyes sleep but his heart does not sleep. Then the Messenger of Allah s.a.w described his parents for us: His father is tall; with little fat; with a nose as if it were a beak. His mother is a bulky woman with long breasts. So Abu Bakrah said: I heard about a child being born to some Jews in AlMadinah. So AlZubair Bin AlAwam and I went until we entered upon his parents. They appeared as the Messenger of Allah s.a.w had described them. We said: Do you have any children? They said: We remained for thirty years without any children being born to us; then we bore a boy; having one eye in which there is some defect; providing little use. His eyes sleep but his heart does not sleep. He said: So we were leaving them; when he appeared; glittering in the sunlight in a velvet garment; murmuring something. He uncovered his head and said: What were you saying? We said: Did you hear what we were saying? He said: Yes; that my eyes sleep but my heart does not sleep. I heard the Bedouin and the people saying: Keep away from the whip. My father came up to him. He caught hold of his foot and acknowledged him his Prophethood. He stopped and listened to him. He then said: I participated in the army of Athran in the pre-Islamic days. The narrator; Ibn AlMuthanna; said: Army of Gathran. Tariq Ibn AlMuraqqa said: Who will give me a lance and get a reward? I asked: What is its reward? He replied: I shall marry him to my first daughter born to me. So I gave him my lance and then disappeared from him till I knew that a daughter was born to him and she came of age. I then came to him and said: Send my wife to me. He swore that he would not do that until I fixed a dower afresh other than that agreed between me and him; and I swore that I should not give him the dower other than that I had given him before. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: How old is she now? He said: She has grown old. He said: I think you should leave her. He said: This put awe and fear into me; and I looked at the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. When he felt this in me; he said: You will not be sinful; nor will your companion be sinful.Abu Dawud said: Qatir means old age. He was born on his bed. They went to the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace. Sad said; Messenger of Allah! He is the son of my brother; he made a covenant with me about him. Abd Ibn Zama said; He is my brother and the son of my father slave-girl and was born on my father bed. The Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; said; He is yours; Abd Ibn Zama. Then the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; said; A child belongs to the household where he was born and the adulterer is stoned. Then he told Sawda bint Zama; Veil yourself from him; since he saw in him a resemblance to Utba Ibn Abi Waqqas. Aisha added; He did not see her until he met Allah; the Mighty; the Majestic!
