Aasi m returned and informed Uwaimir that the Prophet disliked that type of question. Uwaimir said; By Allah; I will go personally to the Prophet. Uwaimir came to the Prophet ﷺ when Allah had already revealed Quranic Verses in that respect ; after Aasi m had left the Prophet ﷺ. So the Prophet ﷺ said to Uwaimir; Allah has revealed Quranic Verses regarding you and your wife. The Prophet ﷺ then called for them; and they came and carried out the order of Lian. Then Uwaimir said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Now if I kept her with me; I would be accused of telling a lie. So Uwaimir divorced her although the Prophet ﷺ did not order him to do so. Later on this practice of divorcing became the tradition of couples involved in a case of Lian. The Prophet ﷺ said to the people. Wait for her! If she delivers a red short small child like a Wahra a short red animal. then I will be of the opinion that he Uwaimir has told a lie but if she delivered a black big-eyed one with big buttocks; then I will be of the opinion that he has told the truth about her. It continued raining till the next Friday. Then that man or some other man stood up while the Prophet ﷺ was delivering the Friday sermon; and said; We are drowned; Please invoke your Lord to withhold it rain from us The Prophet smiled and said twice or thrice; O Allah! Please let it rain round about us and not upon us. The clouds started dispersing over Medina to the right and to the left; and it rained round about Medina and not upon Medina. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-2745 | Narrated Abu Bakra: The Prophet ﷺ said; Time has come back to its original state which it had on the day Allah created the Heavens and the Earth. The year is twelve months; four of which are sacred; three of them are in succession; namely Dh AlQada; Dhu AlHijja and Muharram; the fourth being Rajab Mudar which is between Jumada ath-thamj and Shaban. The Prophet ﷺ then asked; Which month is this? We said; Allah and his Apostle know better. He kept silent so long that we thought that he would call it by a name other than its real name. He said; Isnt it the month of Dhu AlHijja? We said; Yes. He said; Which town is this? We said; Allah and His Apostle know better. He kept silent so long that we thought that he would call it t;y a name other than its real name. He said; isnt it the town of Mecca ? We replied; Yes. He said; What day is today? We replied; Allah and His Apostle know better. He kept silent so long that we thought that he would call it by a name other than its real name. He said; Isnt it the Day Of AlNahr? We replied; Yes. He then said; Your blood; properties and honor are as sacred to one another as this day of yours in this town of yours in this month of yours. You will meet your Lord; and He will ask you about your deeds. Beware! Do not go astray after me by cutting the necks of each other. It is incumbent upon those who are present to convey this message to those who are absent; for some of those to whom it is conveyed may comprehend it better than some of those who have heard it directly. Muhammad; the sub-narrator; on mentioning this used to say: The Prophet then said; No doubt! Havent I delivered Allahs Message to you ? SahihAlBukhari-017-001-3176 | Narrated Ibn Juraij: Ibn Shihab informed me of Lian and the tradition related to it; referring to the narration of Sahl Bin Sad; the brother of Bani Saidi He said; An Ansari man came to Allah Messenger ﷺ and said; O Allah Apostle! If a man saw another man with his wife; should he kill him; or what should he do? So Allah revealed concerning his affair what is mentioned in the Holy Quran about the affair of those involved in a case of Lian. The Prophet ﷺ said; Allah has given His verdict regarding you and your wife. So they carried out Lian in the Masjid while I was present there. When they had finished; the man said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! If I should now keep her with me as a wife then I have told a lie about her. Then he divorced her thrice before Allah Messenger ﷺ ordered him; when they had finished the Lian process. So he divorced her in front of the Prophet ﷺ. Ibn Shihab added; After their case; it became a tradition that a couple involved in a case of Lian should be separated by divorce. That lady was pregnant then; and later on her son was called by his mother name. The tradition concerning their inheritance was that she would be his heir and he would inherit of her property the share Allah had prescribed for him. Ibn Shihab said that Sahl Bin Saad AsSaidi said that the Prophet ﷺ said in the above narration ; If that lady delivers a small red child like a lizard; then the lady has spoken the truth and the man was a liar; but if she delivers a child with black eyes and huge lips; then her husband has spoken the truth. Then she delivered it in the shape one would dislike as it proved her guilty. | The Chapter on Wives And Relationship Lian in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on To carry out Lian in a Mosque in Sahih AlBukhari

SahihAlBukhari-017-001-395 | Narrated Abu Saeed AlKhudri: The Prophet ﷺ used to proceed to the Mousalla on the days of Eid AlFitr and Eid AlAdha; the first thing to begin with was the prayer and after that he would stand in front of the people and the people would keep sitting in their rows. Then he would preach to them; advise them and give them orders; i.e. Khutba. And after that if he wished to send an army for an expedition; he would do so; or if he wanted to give and order; he would do so; and then depart. The people followed this tradition till I went out with Marwan; the Governor of Medina; for the prayer of Eid AlAdha or Eid AlFitr. When we reached the Mousalla; there was a pulpit made by Kathir Bin AlSalt. Marwan wanted to get up on that pulpit before the prayer. I got hold of his clothes but he pulled them and ascended the pulpit and delivered the Khutba before the prayer. I said to him; By Allah; you have changed the Prophet tradition. He replied; O Abu Said! Gone is that which you know. I said; By Allah! What I know is better than what I do not know. SunanAlNasai-017-001-16577 | It was narrated that Eyad Bin Abdullah said: I heard Abu Saeed AlKhudri say: A man who appeared shabbily came on a Friday; while the Prophet ﷺ was delivering the Khutbah. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him: Have you prayed? He said: No. He said: Pray two rakahs. And he urged the people to give in charity. They gave clothes; and he gave him two garments. The following Friday; he came when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was delivering the khutbah; and he urged the people to give charity. That man gave one of his two garments and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: This man came last Friday looking shabby; and I commanded the people to give charity and they gave clothes; and I said that he should be given two garments; and now he came and I commanded the people to give charity and he gave one of them. So he chided himself and said: Take your garment. | The Chapter on Gifts Of Clothing in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Jumuah Friday Prayer in Sunan AlNasai

He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out wearing old clothes in a humble and lowly manner until he reached the place of prayer. He then ascended the pulpit; but he did not deliver the sermon as you deliver usually. He remained engaged in making supplication; showing humbleness to Allah and uttering the takbir Allah is most great. He then offered two rakahs of prayer as done on the Id festival.Abu Dawud said: This is the version of AlNufail. MuwataMalik-017-001-35087 | Yahya related to me from Malik that he had heard that Muhammad Seereen used to say; Do not sell grain on the ears until it is white. Malik said; If someone buys food for a known price to be delivered at a stated date; and when the date comes; the one who owes the food says; I do not have any food; sell me the food which I owe you with delayed terms. The owner of the food says; This is not good; because the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; forbade selling food until the deal was completed. The one who owes the food says to his creditor; Sell me any kind of food on delayed terms until I discharge the debt to you. This is not good because he gives him food and then he returns it to him. The gold which he gave him becomes the price of that which is his right against him and the food which he gave him becomes what clears what is between them. If they do that; it becomes the sale of food before the deal is complete. Malik spoke about a man who was owed food which he had purchased from a man and this man was owed the like of that food by another man. The one who owed the food said to his creditor; I will refer you to my debtor who owes me the same amount of food as I owe you; so that you may obtain the food which I owe you. Malik said; If the man who had to deliver the food; had gone out; and bought the food to pay off his creditor; that is not good. That is selling food before taking possession of it. If the food is an advance which falls due at that particular time; there is no harm in paying off his creditor with it because that is nota sale. It is not halal to sell food before receiving it in full since the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; forbade that. However; the people of knowledge agree that there is no harm in partnership; transfer of responsibility and revocation in sales of food and other goods. Malik said; That is because the people of knowledge consider it as a favour rendered. They do not consider it as a sale. It is like a man lending light dirhams. He is then paid back in dirhams of full weight; and so gets back more than he lent. That is halal for him and permitted. Had a man bought defective dirhams from him as being the full weight; that would not be halal. Had it been stipulated to him that he lend full weight in dirhams; and then he gave faulty ones; that would not be halal for him. | The Chapter on Financial Transaction And Food in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Drinks in Muwata Malik |
