If they had only referred it to the Messenger, or to those charged with authority among them, the proper investigators would have Tested it from them (direct). Were it not for the Grace and Mercy of Allah unto you, all but a few of you would have fallen into the clutches of Satan.
Surat AlTahrim Ayah 3	Surat AlTahrim	0.17		107	Matter confid, Repudi thereof, Disclos matter, Thereof repudi, Thereof acquaint, Confid consorts, Confirm thereof, Divulg confirm, Consorts divulg	وَإِذْ أَسَرَّ النَّبِيُّ إِلَى بَعْضِ أَزْوَاجِهِ حَدِيثًا فَلَمَّا نَبَّأَتْ بِهِ وَأَظْهَرَهُ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ عَرَّفَ بَعْضَهُ وَأَعْرَضَ عَنْ بَعْضٍ فَلَمَّا نَبَّأَهَا بِهِ قَالَتْ مَنْ أَنْبَأَكَ هَذَا قَالَ نَبَّأَنِيَ الْعَلِيمُ الْخَبِيرُ	When the Prophet disclosed a matter in confidence to one of his consorts, and she then divulged it (to another), and Allah made it known to him, he confirmed part thereof and repudiated a part. Then when he told her thereof, she said, "Who told thee this? "He said, "He told me Who knows and is well-acquainted (with all things)."

SahihMuslim-017-001-20723		Aisha reported that all the wives of Allah Apostle ﷺ had gathered in her apartment during the days of his Prophets last illness and no woman was left behind that Fatima; who walked after the style of Allah Messenger ﷺ ; came there. He welcomed her by saying: You are welcome; my daughter; and made her sit on his right side or on his left side; and then talked something secretly to her and Fatima wept. Then he talked something secretly to her and she laughed. I said to her: What makes you weep? She said: I am not going to divulge the secret of Allah Messenger ﷺ. I Aisha said: I have not seen anything happening like today; the happiness being more close to grief as I see today when she wept. I said to her: Has Allah Messenger ﷺ singled you out for saying something leaving us Aasi de? She then wept and I asked her what he said; and she said: I am not going to divulge the secrets of Allah Messenger ﷺ. And when he died I again asked her and she said that he the Holy Prophet told her: Gabriel used to recite the Quran to me once a year and for this year it was twice and so I perceived that my death had drawn near; and that I Fatima would be the first amongst the members of his family who would meet him in the Hereafter. He shall be my good forerunner and it made me weep. He again talked to me secretly saying : Arent you pleased that you should be the sovereign amongst the believing women or the head of women of this Ummah? And this made me laugh. When I came to her she said: What detained you? I said: Allah Messenger ﷺ sent me on an errand. She said: What was the purpose? I said: It is something secret. Therupon she said: Do not then divulge the secret of Allah Messenger ﷺ to anyone. Anas said: By Allah; if I were to divulge it to anyone; then; O Thabit; I would have divulged it to you. MuwataMalik-017-001-34922		Yahya related to me from Malik from Zayd Ibn Aslam that the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; said; If someone changes his deen - strike his neck! The meaning of the statement of the Prophet; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; in our opinion and Allah knows best; is that if someone changes his deen; strike his neck! refers to those who leave Islam for other than it - like the heretics and their like; about whom it is known. They are killed without being called to tawba because their tawba is not recognised. They were hiding their kufr and publishing their Islam; so I do not think that one calls such people to tawba; and one does not accept their word. As for the one who goes out of Islam to something else and divulges it; one calls him to tawba. If he does not turn in tawba; he is killed. If there are people in that situation; I think that one should call them to Islam and call them to tawba. If they turn in tawba; that is accepted from them. If they do not turn in tawba; they are killed. That does not refer as we see it; and Allah knows best; to those who come out of Judaism to Christianity or from Christianity to Judaism; nor to someone who changes his deen from the various forms of deen except for Islam. Whoever comes out of Islam to other than it and divulges that; that is the one who is referred to; and Allah knows best!
