He again took another handful of water and washed his left forearm; and passed wet hands over his head and took another handful of water and poured it over his right foot up to his ankles and washed it thoroughly and similarly took another handful of water and washed thoroughly his left foot up to the ankles and said; I saw Allah Messenger ﷺ performing ablution in this way.The Chapter on Ablution Hand Head Foot And Forearm in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on To wash the face with both hands by a handful of water in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6747Narrated Urwa Bin AlMughira: AlMughira Bin Shuba; said; The Prophet ﷺ went out to answer the call of nature and when he had finished I got up to pour water for him. I think that he said that the event had taken place during the Ghazwa of Tabuk. AlMughira added. The Prophet ﷺ washed his face; and when he wanted to wash his forearms; the sleeves of his cloak became tight over them; so he took them out from underneath the cloak and then he washed them i.e. his forearms and passed wet hands over his Khuffs socks made from thick fabric or leather. The Chapter on Ablution Or Tayammum After Sleeping in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Military Expeditions led by the Prophet AlMaghaazi in Sahih AlBukhari

SahihMuslim-017-001-23423Mughira Bin Shuba reported that he participated In the expedition of Tabuk along with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out to answer the call of nature before the morning prayer. and I carried along with him a jar full of water. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came back to me after relieving himself. I began to pour water upon his hands out of the jar and he washed his hands three times; then washed his face three times. He then tried to tuck up the sleeves of his cloak upon his forearms but since the sleeves were tight he inserted his hands in the cloak and then brought out his forearms up to the elbow below the cloak; and then wiped over his shoes and then moved on. Mughira said: I also moved along with him till he came to the people and he found that they had been saying their prayer under the Imamah of Abdulrahman Bin Auf. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ could get one rak ah out of two and said this last rakah along with the people. When Abdulrahman Bin Auf pronounced the salutation; the Messenger of Allah ﷺ got up to complete the prayer. This made the Muslims terrified and most of them began to recite the glory of the Lord. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ finished his prayer; he turned towards them and then said: You did well; or said with a sense of joy: You did the right thing that you said prayer at the appointed hour. The Chapter on Personal Hygiene General Topics in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 22 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-24107Urwa Bin Mughira reported his father having said: I was one night with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a journey. He said to me: Have you any water with you? I said: Yes. He the Holy Prophet came down from his ride and went on till he disappeared in the darkness of night. He then came back and I poured water for him from the jar. He washed his face; He had a woollen gown on him and he could not bring out his forearms from it i. e. from its sleeves and consequently he brought them out from under his gown. He washed his forearms; wiped over his head. I then bent down to take off his socks. But he said: Leave them; for my feet were clean when I put them in; and he only wiped over them. The Chapter on Personal Hygiene Forearm And Face in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 22 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-24109Urwa Bin AlMughira Bin Shuba reported it on the authority of his father that he said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ lagged behind in a journey and I also lagged behind along with him. After having relieved himself he said: Have you any water with you? I brought to him a jar of water; he washed his palms; and face; and when he tried to get his forearms out he could not for the sleeve of the gown was tight. He; therefore; brought them out from under the gown and; throwing it over his shoulders; he washed his forearm. He then wiped his forelock and his turban and his socks. He then mounted and I also mounted the ride and came to the people. They had begun the prayer with Abd AlRabmin Bin Anf leading them and had completed a raka. When he perceived the presence of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ he began to retire. He the Holy Prophet signed to him to continue and offered prayer along with them. Then when he had pronounced the salutation; the Apostle ﷺ got up and I also got up with him; and we offered the raka which had been finished before we came. The Chapter on Personal Hygiene General Topics in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 23 in Sahih Muslim

SunanAlTermithi-017-001-9769Abdullah Bin Masud said: The Messenger of Allah s.a.w narrated to us - and he is the truthful and entrusted one:Indeed the creation of one of you is gathered inside his mother in forty days. Then; for a similar period; he is a clot. Then; for a similar period; he is a piece of flesh. Then Allah sends the angel to him to blow the soul into him; and he is ordered to write four things : To write his provision; his life-span; his works; and whether he will be wretched or happy. By the One besides Whom there is none other worthy of worship! One of you will do deeds of the people of Paradise; until there is between him and it but a forearm span; then he is overcome by what is written for him; and he is sealed off with the deeds of the people of the Fire; so that he enters it. And indeed one of you will do deeds of the people of the Fire; until there is between him and it but a forearm span; then he is overcome by what is written for him; and he is sealed off with the deeds of the people of Paradise; so that he enters it.The Chapter on Angeles And Good Deeds And Day Of Hell Fire in HodHood Indexing, The Book Of AlQadar in Sunan AlTermithi

SunanAlNasai-017-001-12763It was narrated from Ibn Abdulrahman Bin Abza; from his father; that a man came to Umar; may Allah be please with him; and said: I have become Junub and I cannot find any water. Umar said: Do not pray. Ammar said: Do you not remember; O Commander of the Believers; when you and I were on a campaign and became Junub; and we could not find any water. You did not pray; but I rolled in the dust then prayed. When we came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ I told him about that and he said: This would have been sufficient for you; and then Prophet ﷺ struck the earth with his hands then blew on them and wiped his face and hands - one of the narrators Salamah was uncertain and said: I do not know if he said it should be up to the elbows or just the hands. - Umar said: We will let you bear the burden of what you took upon yourself. One of the narrators Shubah said: He used to say the hands; face and forearms. Another Mansur said to him: What are you saying? No one mentions the forearms except you. Salamah was not certain and said: I do not know whether he mentioned the forearms or not.The Chapter on Personal Hygiene Forearm And Face in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Purification in Sunan AlNasai

SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-26305AlMughirah Bin Shubah reported: I was in the company of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the expedition of Tabuk. He abandoned the main road before the dawn prayer; and I also did the same along with him. The Prophet ﷺ made his camel kneel down and went to relieve himself. He then came back and I poured water upon his hands from the skin-vessel. He then washed his hands and face. He tried to get his forearms out of the gown ; but the sleeves of the gown were too narrow; so he entered back both his hands; and brought them out from beneath the gown. He washed his forearms up to the elbows and wiped his head and wiped over his socks.80 He then mounted his camel and we began to proceed until we found people offering the prayer. They brought forward Abdulrahman Bin Awuf who was leading them in prayer. The Prophet ﷺ stood in the row side by side with other Muslims. He performed the second rakah of the prayer behind Abdulrahman Bin Awuf. Then Abdulrahman uttered salutation. The Prophet ﷺ stood to perform the remaining rakah of the prayer. The Muslims were alarmed. They began to utter tasbih Subhan Allah presuming that they had offered prayer before the Prophet ﷺ had done. When he uttered the salutation i.e. finished his prayer ; he said: You were right; or he said you did well. The Chapter on Personal Hygiene General Topics in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Wiping Over The Khuff in Sunan Abu Dawoud

MuwataMalik-017-001-36082Yahya related to me from Malik from Yahya Ibn Muhammad Ibn Talha from Uthman Ibn Abdulrahman that his father related to him that he had heard that Umar Ibn AlKhattab used to wash what was beneath his waist wrapper with water. Yahya said that Malik was asked what a man should do if; when he did Ablution; he forgot and washed his face before he had rinsed his mouth; or washed his forearms before he had washed his face. He said; If someone washes his face before rinsing his mouth; he should rinse his mouth and not wash his face again. If someone washes his forearms before his face; however; he should wash his forearms again so that he has washed them after his face. This is if he is still near the place of Ablution. Yahya said that Malik was asked about what a man should do if he had forgotten to rinse his mouth and nose until he had prayed; and he said; He does not have to repeat the prayer; but should rinse his mouth and nose if he wishes to do any more prayers after that. The Chapter on Ablution Face Rinsing The Mouth in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Zakat in Muwata Malik
