It gets every good that it earns, and it suffers every ill that it earns. (Pray:) "Our Lord! Condemn us not if we forget or fall into error; our Lord! Lay not on us a burden Like that which Thou didst lay on those before us; Our Lord! Lay not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Blot out our sins, and grant us forgiveness. Have mercy on us. Thou art our Protector; Help us against those who stand against faith."

And do not forget Liberality between yourselves. For Allah sees well all that ye do.

Ubai Bin Kaab AlAnsari passed by them and Ibn Abbas called him saying; My friend Hur and I have differed about Moses Companion whom Moses asked the way to meet. Did you hear Allah Messenger ﷺ mentioning anything about him? Ubai said; Yes; I heard Allah Apostle saying; While Moses was sitting in the company of some Israelites a man came to him and asked; Do you know Someone who is more learned than you Moses ? Moses said; No. So Allah sent the Divine inspiration to Moses:- Yes; Our Slave Khadir is more learned than you Moses asked Allah how to meet him Khadir So Allah made the fish as a sign for him and it was said to him; When you lose the fish; go back to the place where you lose it and you will meet him. So Moses went on looking for the sign of the fish in the sea. The boy servant of Moses who was accompanying him said to him; Do you remember what happened when we betook ourselves to the rock? I did indeed forget to tell you about the fish. None but Satan made me forget to tell you about it 18.63 Moses said: That is what we have been seeking. Sa they went back retracing their footsteps. 18.64. So they both found Kadir there and then happened what Allah mentioned about them in the Quran ! SahihAlBukhari-017-001-179		Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah Messenger ﷺ said; When the Adhan for the prayer is pronounced; then Satan takes to his heels passing wind so that he may not hear the Adhan and when the Muadh-dhin finishes; he comes back; and when the Iqama is pronounced he again takes to his heels and when it is finished; he again comes back and continues reminding the praying person of things that he used not to remember when not in prayer till he forgets how much he has prayed. Abu Salama Bin Abdulrahman said; If anyone of you has such a thing forgetting the number of rakat he has prayed he should perform two prostrations of Sahu i.e. forgetfulness while sitting. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-4114		Narrated Ubai Bin Kaab Allah Messenger ﷺ said; Moses the Messenger of Allah; and then he narrated the whole story about him. AlKhadir said to Moses; Did not I tell you that you can have no patience with me. 18.72. Moses then violated the agreement for the first time because of forgetfulness; then Moses promised that if he asked AlKhadir about anything; the latter would have the right to desert him. Moses abided by that condition and on the third occasion he intentionally asked AlKhadir and caused that condition to be applied. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-5086		Narrated Abu Huraira: The people say that Abu Huraira narrates too many narrations. In fact Allah knows whether I say the truth or not. They also ask; Why do the emigrants and the Ansar not narrate as he does? In fact; my emigrant brethren were busy trading in the markets; and my Ansar brethren were busy with their properties. I was a poor man keeping the company of Allah Messenger ﷺ and was satisfied with what filled my stomach. So; I used to be present while they i.e. the emigrants and the Ansar were absent; and I used to remember while they forgot the Hadith. One day the Prophet ﷺ said; Whoever spreads his sheet till I finish this statement of mine and then gathers it on his chest; will never forget anything of my statement. So; I spread my covering sheet which was the only garment I had; till the Prophet ﷺ finished his statement and then I gathered it over my chest. By Him Who had sent him i.e. Allah Apostle with the truth; since then I did not forget even a single word of that statement of his; until this day of mine. By Allah; but for two verses in Allah Book; I would never have related any narration from the Prophet. These two verses are : Verily! SahihAlBukhari-017-001-5323		Narrated Abu Huraira: You people say that Abu Huraira tells many narrations from Allah Messenger ﷺ and you also wonder why the emigrants and Ansar do not narrate from Allah Messenger ﷺ as Abu Huraira does. My emigrant brothers were busy in the market while I used to stick to Allah Messenger ﷺ content with what fills my stomach; so I used to be present when they were absent and I used to remember when they used to forget; and my Ansari brothers used to be busy with their properties and I was one of the poor men of Suffa. I used to remember the narrations when they used to forget. No doubt; Allah Messenger ﷺ once said; Whoever spreads his garment till I have finished my present speech and then gathers it to himself; will remember whatever I will say. So; I spread my colored garment which I was wearing till Allah Messenger ﷺ had finished his saying; and then I gathered it to my chest. So; I did not forget any of that narrations. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-891		Narrated Abdullah: The Prophet ﷺ prayed and the sub-narrator Ibrahim said; I do not know whether he prayed more or less than usual ; and when he had finished the prayers he was asked; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Has there been any change in the prayers? He said; What is it? The people said; You have prayed so much and so much. So the Prophet ﷺ bent his legs; faced the Qibla and performed two prostration of Sahu and finished his prayers with Taslim by turning his face to right and left saying: AlSalamu Alaikum- Warahmat Allah. When he turned his face to us he said; If there had been anything changed in the prayer; surely I would have informed you but I am a human being like you and liable to forget like you. So if I forget remind me and if anyone of you is doubtful about his prayer; he should follow what he thinks to be correct and complete his prayer accordingly and finish it and do two prostrations of Sahu. SahihMuslim-017-001-24265		Alqama narrated It on the authority of Abdullah Bin Masud who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said the prayer; the narrator added : He made some act of omission or commission when he pronounced salutation; it was said to him: Messenger of Allah; is there something new about the prayer? He the Holy Prophet said: What is it? They said: You said prayer in such and such away. He the narrator said: He the Holy Prophet turned his feet and faced the Qibla and performed two prostrations and then pronounced salutations; and then turned his face towards us and said: If there is anything new about prayer new command from the Lord I informed you of that. But I am a human being and I forget as you for. get; so when I forget; remind me; and when any one of you is in doubt about his prayer. he should aim at what Is correct. and complete his prayer in that respect and then make two prostrations. SahihMuslim-017-001-24274		Ibrahim Bin Suwaid-reported: Alqama led us in the noon prayer and be offered five rakahs; when the prayer was complete; the people said to him: Abu Shibl; you have offered five rakahs. He said: No; I have not done that. They said: Yes you said five rakahs. He the narrator said: And I was sitting in a corner among people and I was just a boy. I also said: Yes; you have offered five rakahs. He said to me: O; one-eyed; do you say the same thing? I said: Yes. Upon this he turned his face and performed two prostrations and then gave salutations; and then reported Abdullah as saying: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ led us in prayer and offered five rakahs. And as he turned away the people began to whisper amongst themselves. He the Holy Prophet said: What is the matter with you? They said: Has the prayer been extended? He said: No. They said: You have in fact said five rakahs. He the Holy Prophet then turned his back and faced the Qibla and performed two prostrations and then gave salutations and further said: Verily I am a human being like you; I forget just as you forget. SunanAlTermithi-017-001-9756		Abu Uthman narrated from Hanzalah AlUsaidi and he was one of the scribes of the Messenger of Allah s.a.w - that he passed by Abu Bakr while he was crying; so he Abu Bakr said to him: What is wrong with you; O Hanzalah? He replied: Hanzalah has become a hypocrite O Abu Bakr! When we are with the Messenger of Allah s.a.w we remember the Fire and Paradise as if we are looking at them with the naked eye. But when we return we busy ourselves with our wives and livelihood and we forget so much. He Abu Bakr said: By Allah! The same thing happens to me. Let us go to the Messenger of Allah s.a.w. Hanzalah said: So he went. When the Messenger of Allah s.a.w saw him; he said: What is wrong with you O Hanzalah? He said: Hanzalah has become a hypocrite O Messenger of Allah! When we are with you we remember the Fire and Paradise as if we can see them with the naked eye. But when we return we are busy with our wives and livelihood; and we forget so much. He said: So the Messenger of Allah s.a.w said: If you were to abide in the state that you are in when you are with me; then the Angels would shake hands with you in your gatherings; and upon your bedding; and in your paths. He said: He led us in praying two rakahs; then he said the taslim and went to a piece of wood that was lying in the masjid and leaned his hand on it as if he was angry. Those who were in a hurry left the masjid; and said: The prayer has been shortened. Among the people were Abu Bakr and Umar but they hesitated to ask him for they revere him. Also among the people was a man with long hands who was known as Dhu AlYadain. He said: O Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; did you forget or has the prayer been shortened? He said: I did not forget and the prayer has not been shortened. He said: Is it as Dhu AlYadain says? They said: yes. So he came and prayed what he had missed; then he said the salam; then he said the takbir and prostrated as usual or longer than that. The version of the narrator Ibrahim goes: I do not know whether he increased or decreased the rakahs of prayer. When he gave the salutation; he was asked: Has something new happened in the prayer; Messenger of Allah? He said: What is it? They said: You prayed so many and so many rakahs. He then relented his foot and faced the Qiblah and made two prostrations. He then gave the salutation. When he turned away finished the prayer ; he turned his face to us and said: Had anything new happened in prayer; I would have informed you. I am only a human being and I forget just as you do; so when I forget; remind me; and when any of you is in doubt about his prayer he should aim at what is correct; and complete his prayer in that respect; then give the salutation and afterwards made two prostrations. MuwataMalik-017-001-35865		Yahya related to me from Malik from Hisham Ibn Urwa that Sawda bint Abdullah Ibn Umar; who was in the household of Urwa Ibn AlZubayr; set off walking between Safa and Marwa when doing either hajj or an umra. She was a heavy woman and she began when everybody was leaving after the isha prayer; and she still had not completed her circuits when the first call was given for subh; but finished them between the two calls to prayer. If Urwa saw people doing circuits on riding beasts he would tell them in very strong terms not to do so; and they would pretend to be ill; out of awe of him. Hisham added; He used to say to us about them These are unsuccessful and have lost. Malik said; Someone who forgets say between Safa and Marwa in an umra; and does not remember until he is far from Makka; should return and do say. If; in the meantime; he has had intercourse with a woman; he should return and do say between Safa and Marwa so as to complete what remains of that umra; and then after that he has to do another umra and offer a sacrificial animal. Malik was asked about someone who met another man when doing say between Safa and Marwa and stopped to talk with him; and he said; I do not like anyone to do that. Malik said; If anyone forgets some of his tawaf or is uncertain about it and remembers only when he is doing say between Safa and Marwa; he should stop the say and complete his tawaf of the House apart from that about which he is certain. After that he prays the two rakas of the tawaf; and then begins his say between Safa and Marwa. Ayoub added I do not know if he said Omits or forgets. Malik said; If it is a hady that has to be slaughtered it may only be done in Makka; but if it is a sacrifice; it may be slaughtered wherever the one who owes the sacrifice prefers.
