So will you lead the people in prayer? Abu Bakr said; Yes; if you wish. Bilal pronounced the Iqama and Abu Bakr; went forward and said Takbir for the people. Abu Bakr raised his hands and thanked Allah; and retreated till he reached the first row. Allah Messenger ﷺ went forward and led the people in the prayer. When he completed the prayer he faced the people and said; O people! Why did you start clapping when something unusual happened to you in the prayer? Clapping is only for women. So whoever amongst you comes across something in the prayer should say; Subhan-Allah for there is none who will not turn round on hearing him saying Subhan-Allah. O Abu Bakr! SahihAlBukhari-017-001-175 | Narrated Sahl Bin Sad: The news about the differences amongst the people of Bani Amr Bin Auf at Quba reached Allah Apostle and so he went to them along with some of his companions to affect a reconciliation. Allah Apostle was delayed there and the time for the prayer became due. Bilal came to Abu Bakr! and said; O Abu Bakr! Allah Messenger ﷺ is detained there and the time for the prayer is due. Will you lead the people in prayer? Abu Bakr replied; Yes; if you wish. So Bilal pronounced the Iqama and Abu Bakr went forward and the people said Takbir. In the meantime; Allah Messenger ﷺ came piercing through the rows till he stood in the first row and the people started clapping. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6850 | Narrated Nafi: Whenever Abdullah Bin Umar was asked about Prayer AlKhauf i.e. prayer of fear he said; The Imam comes forward with a group of people and leads them in a one raka prayer while another group from them who has not prayed yet; stay between the praying group and the enemy. When those who are with the Imam have finished their one raka; they retreat and take the positions of those who have not prayed but they will not finish their prayers with Taslim. Those who have not prayed; come forward to offer a raka with the Imam while the first group covers them from the enemy. Then the Imam; having offered two rakat; finishes his prayer. Then each member of the two groups offer the second raka alone after the Imam has finished his prayer. Thus each one of the two groups will have offered two rakat. But if the fear is too great; they can pray standing on their feet or riding on their mounts; facing the Qibla or not. Nafi added: I do not think that Abdullah Bin Umar narrated this except from Allah Messenger ﷺ See Hadith No. 451; Vol 5 to know exactly The Fear Prayer. | The Chapter on Enemies And Groups And Bowing in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Prophetic Commentary on the Quran Tafseer of the Prophet in Sahih AlBukhari |

SahihMuslim-017-001-18105 | It has been reported on the authority of Anas Bin Malik that when the enemy got the upper hand on the day of the Battle of Uhud; the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was left with only seven men from the ansar and two men from the Quraish. When the enemy advanced towards him and overwhelmed him; he said: Whoso turns them away from us will attain Paradise or will be my Companion in Paradise. A man from the Ansar came forward and fought the enemy until he was killed. The enemy advanced and overwhelmed him again and he repeated the words: Whoso turns them away; from us will attain Paradise or will be my Companion in Paradise. A man from the Arsar came forward and fought until he was killed. This state continued until the seven Ansar were killed one after the other. Now; the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to his two Companions: We have not done justice to our Companions. | The Chapter on Enemies And Groups And Killing in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 37 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-21880 | Jabir reported that the sun eclipsed during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on that very day when Ibrahim the Prophet son died. The Apostle of Allah ﷺ stood up and led people in two rakahs of prayer with six ruku and four prostrations. He commenced the prayer with takbir Allah-o-Akbar and then recited and prolonged his recital. He then bowed nearly the length of time that he stood up. He then raised his head from the ruku and recited but less than the first recital. He then bowed to the length of time that he stood up. He then raised his head from the ruku and again recited but less than the second recital. He then bowed to the length of time that he stood up. He then lifted his head from the ruku. He then fell in prostration and observed two prostrations. He stood up and then bowed; observing six ruku like it; without completing the rakah in them; except this difference that the first qiyam of ruku was longer than the later one; and the ruku was nearly of the same length as prostration. He then moved backward and the rows behind him also moved backward till we reached the extreme Abu Bakr said: till he reached near the women He then moved forward and the people also moved forward along with him till he stood at his original place of worship. He then completed the prayer as it was required to complete and the sun brightened and he said: O people! verily the sun and the moon are among the signs of Allah and they do not eclipse at the death of anyone among people Abu Bakr said: On the death of any human being. So when you see anything like it of the nature of eclipse ; pray till it is bright. There is nothing which you have been promised in the next world but I have seen it in this prayer of mine. Hell was brought to me as you saw me moving back on account of fear lest its heat might affect me; and I saw the owner of the curved staff who dragged his intestines in the fire; and he used to steal the belongings of the pilgrims with his curved staff. If he the owner of the staff became aware; he would say: It got accidentally entangled in my curved staff; but if he was unaware of that; he would take that away. I also saw in it in Hell the owner of a cat whom she had tied and did not feed her nor set her free so that she could eat the creatures of the earth; till the cat died of starvation. Paradise was brought to me; and it was on that occasion that you saw me moving forward till I stood at my place of worship. I stretched my hand as I wanted to catch hold of its fruits so that you may see them. Then I thought of not doing it. Nothing which you have been promised was there that I did not see in this prayer of mine. | The Chapter on Prostration And Worship in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 3 in Sahih Muslim

The idolaters were led that day by Khalid Bin AlWalid; and the idolaters said: We have caught them unawares. Then the fear prayer was revealed between Zuhr and Asr. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ led us in praying Asr and divided us into two groups; a group that prayed with the Prophet ﷺ and a group that guarded him. He said takbir with those who were closest to him and those who were guarding them; then he bowed and both groups bowed with him. Then those who were closest to him prostrated. Then they moved back and the others moved forward and prostrated. Then he stood and led them all in bowing; those who were closest to him and those who were guarding him. Then he led those who were closest to him in prostrating; then they moved back and took the place of their companions and the others came forward and prostrated. Then he said the taslim so each group had prayed two rakahs with their imam. MuwataMalik-017-001-34293 | Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah Ibn Umar; when asked about the fear prayer said; The imam and a group of people go forward and the imam prays a raka with them; while another group; who have not yet prayed; position themselves between him and the enemy. When those who are with him have prayed a raka they draw back to where those who have not prayed are; and do not say the taslim. Then those who have not prayed come forward and pray a raka with him. Then the imam leaves; as he has now prayed two rakas. Everyone else in the two groups stands and prays a raka by himself after the imam has left. In this way each of the two groups will have prayed two rakas. If the fear is greater than that; then the men pray standing on their feet or mounted; either facing the qibla or otherwise. | The Chapter on Bowing In Prayers And Mina And Alqiblah in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Prayer in Muwata Malik |
