SahihMuslim-017-001-20345Abdullah. Ibn Abbas reported: A person from the Ansar who was amongst the Companions of Allah Messenger ﷺ reported to me: As we were sitting during the night with Allah Messenger ﷺ ; a meteor shot gave a dazzling light. Allah Messenger ﷺ said: What did you say in the pre-Islamic days when there was such a shot of meteor ? They said: Allah and His Messenger know best the actual position ; but we; however; used to say that that very night a great man had been born and a great man had died; whereupon Allah Messenger ﷺ said: These meteors are shot neither at the death of anyone nor on the birth of anyone. Allah; the Exalted and Glorious; issues Command when He decides to do a thing. Then the Angels supporting the Throne sing His glory; then sing the dwellers of heaven who are near to them until this glory of God reaches them who are in the heaven of this world. Then those who are near the supporters of the Throne ask these supporters of the Throne: What your Lord has said? And they accordingly inform them what He says. Then the dwellers of heaven seek information from them until this information reaches the heaven of the world. In this process of transmission the jinn snatches what he manages to overhear and he carries it to his friends. And when the Angels see the jinn they attack them with meteors. If they narrate only which they manage to snatch that is correct but they alloy it with lies and make additions to it.The Chapter on Good Manners And The Companions in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 35 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-23873Hudhaifa reported: I prayed with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ one night and he started reciting AlBaqara. I thought that he would bow at the end of one hundred verses; but he proceeded on; I then thought that he would perhaps recite the whole surah in a rakah; but he proceeded and I thought he would perhaps bow on completing this surah. He then started AlNisa; and recited it; he then started Ali-Imran and recited leisurely. And when he recited the verses which referred to the Glory of Allah; he glorified by saying Subhan Allah-Glory to my Lord the Great ; and when he recited the verses which tell how the Lord is to be begged; he the Holy Prophet would then beg from Him ; and when he recited the verses dealing with protection from the Lord; he sought His protection and would then bow and say: Glory be to my Mighty Lord; his bowing lasted about the same length of time as his standing and then on returning to the standing posture after ruku he would say: Allah listened to him who praised Him; and he would then stand about the same length of time as he had spent in bowing. He would then prostrate himself and say: Glory be to my Lord most High; and his prostration lasted nearly the same length of time as his standing. In the hadith transmitted by Jarir the words are: He the Holy Prophet would say: Allah listened to him who praised Him; our Lord; to Thee i the praise. The Chapter on Glory And Praise To Allah In Recitation in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 27 in Sahih Muslim

He the Prophet said: I tell you something which would be easier or more excellent for you than that. He said it consisted of saying : Glory be to Allah as many times as the number of that which He has created in Heaven; Glory be to Allah as many times as the number of that which He has created on Earth; Glory be to Allah as many times as the number of that which He has created between them; Glory be to Allah as many times as the number of that which He is creating; Allah is most great a similar number of times; Praise be to Allah a similar number of times; and There is no god but Allah a similar number of times; There is no might and no power except in Allah a similar number of times. The Chapter on Supplications The Glorious Allah in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on AtTasbih Glorifying Allah Using Pebbles in Sunan Abu Dawoud
SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-25943Muhammad Bin Jubair Bin Mutim said from his father on the authority of his grandfather: An Arab a nomadic Arab came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: People suffering distress; the children are hungry; the crops are withered; and the animals are perished; so ask Allah to grant us rain; for we seek you as our intercessor with Allah; and Allah as intercessor with you. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Woe to you: Do you know what you are saying? Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ declared Allahs glory and he continued declaring His glory till the effect of that was apparent in the faces of his Companions. He then said: Woe to you: Allah is not to be sought as intercessor with anyone. Allahs state is greater than that. Woe to you! Do you know how great Allah is? His throne is above the heavens thus indicating with his fingers like a dome over him ; and it groans on account of Him as a saddle does because of the rider Ibn Bashshar said in his version: Allah is above the throne; and the throne is above the heavens. He then mentioned the rest of the tradition. Abd AlAla; Ibn AlMuthana and Ibn Bashshar transmitted it from Yaqub Bin Utbah and Jubair Bin Muhammad Bin Jubair from his father on the authority of his grandfather.Abu Dawud said: This tradition with the chain of Ahmad Bin Saad is sound. It has been approved by the body of traditionists ; which includes Yahya Bin Main and Ali Bin AlMadani; and a group has transmitted it from Ibn Ishaq; as Ahmad also said. And so far as I have been informed Abd AlAla; Ibn AlMuthanna; and Ibn Bashshar had heard from the same copy of the collection of tradition. The Chapter on Supplications The Glorious Allah in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The Jahmiyah in Sunan Abu Dawoud
SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-27008Narrated Abdullah Ibn Amr: The Prophet ﷺ said: There are two qualities or characteristics which will not be returned by any Muslim without his entering Paradise. While they are easy; those who act upon them are few. One should say: Glory be to Allah ten times after every prayer; Praise be to Allah ten times and Allah is Most Great ten times. That is a hundred and fifty on the tongue; but one thousand and five hundred on the scale. When he goes to bed; he should say: Allah is Most Great thirty-four times; Praise be to Allah thirty-three times; and Glory be to Allah thirty-three times; for that is a hundred on the tongue and a thousand on the scale. He said: I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ counting them on his hand. The people asked: Messenger of Allah! How is it that while they are easy; those who act upon them are few? He replied: The Devil comes to one of you when he goes to bed and he makes him sleep; before he utters them; and he comes to him while he is engaged in prayer and calls a need to his mind before he utters them. The Chapter on Tashahhud While Sitting in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Reciting Tasbih when going to sleep in Sunan Abu Dawoud
