SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1234 | Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah Messenger ﷺ said; But for the emigration; I would have been one of the Ansar: and if the people took their way in a valley or a mountain pass ; I would take the Ansar valley or the mountain pass. | The Chapter on Alansar And Valleys And Mountains in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on What uses of AlLau are allowed in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1235 | Narrated Abdullah Bin Zaid: The Prophet ﷺ said; But for the emigration; I would have been one of the Ansar; and if the people took their way in a valley or a mountain pass ; I would take Ansar valley or their mountain pass. | The Chapter on Alansar And Valleys And Mountains in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on What uses of AlLau are allowed in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1288 | Narrated Zaid Bin Thabit: Abu Bakr sent for me owing to the large number of casualties in the battle of AlYamama; while Umar was sitting with him. Abu Bakr said to me ; Umar has come to my and said; A great number of Qaris of the Holy Quran were killed on the day of the battle of AlYamama; and I am afraid that the casualties among the Qaris of the Quran may increase on other battle-fields whereby a large part of the Quran may be lost. Therefore I consider it advisable that you Abu Bakr should have the Quran collected. I said; How dare I do something which Allah Messenger ﷺ did not do? Umar said; By Allah; it is something beneficial. Umar kept on pressing me for that till Allah opened my chest for that for which He had opened the chest of Umar and I had in that matter; the same opinion as Umar had. Abu Bakr then said to me Zaid ; You are a wise young man and we do not have any suspicion about you; and you used to write the Divine Inspiration for Allah Messenger ﷺ. So you should search for the fragmentary scripts of the Quran and collect it in one Book. Zaid further said: By Allah; if Abu Bakr had ordered me to shift a mountain among the mountains from one place to another it would not have been heavier for me than this ordering me to collect the Quran. Then I said to Umar and Abu Bakr ; How can you do something which Allah Messenger ﷺ did not do? Abu Bakr said; By Allah; it is something beneficial. Zaid added: So he Abu Bakr kept on pressing me for that until Allah opened my chest for that for which He had opened the chests of Abu Bakr and Umar; and I had in that matter; the same opinion as theirs. So I started compiling the Quran by collecting it from the leafless stalks of the date-palm tree and from the pieces of leather and hides and from the stones; and from the chests of men who had memorized the Quran. I found the last verses of Surat AlTauba: Verily there has come unto you an Apostle Muhammad from amongst yourselves- 9.128-129 from Khuzaima or Abi Khuzaima and I added to it the rest of the Sura. The manuscripts of the Quran remained with Abu Bakr till Allah took him unto Him. Then it remained with Umar till Allah took him unto Him; and then with Hafsa bint Umar. | The Chapter on Lost And Found And Alquran in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on It is desirable that a scribe should be honest and wise in Sahih AlBukhari

SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1618 | Narrated Aisha: The commencement of the Divine Inspiration to Allah Messenger ﷺ was in the form of good righteous true dreams in his sleep. He never had a dream but that it came true like bright day light. He used to go in seclusion the cave of Hira where he used to worship Allah Alone continuously for many days nights. He used to take with him the journey food for that stay and then come back to his wife Khadija to take his food like-wise again for another period to stay; till suddenly the Truth descended upon him while he was in the cave of Hira. The angel came to him in it and asked him to read. The Prophet ﷺ replied; I do not know how to read. The Prophet ﷺ added ; The angel caught me forcefully and pressed me so hard that I could not bear it anymore. He then released me and again asked me to read; and I replied; I do not know how to read; whereupon he caught me again and pressed me a second time till I could not bear it anymore. He then released me and asked me again to read; but again I replied; I do not know how to read or; what shall I read?. Thereupon he caught me for the third time and pressed me and then released me and said; Read: In the Name of your Lord; Who has created all that exists. Has created man from a clot. Read and Your Lord is Most Generous...up to.......that which he knew not. 96.15 Then Allah Messenger ﷺ returned with the Inspiration; his neck muscles twitching with terror till he entered upon Khadija and said; Cover me! Cover me! They covered him till his fear was over and then he said; O Khadija; what is wrong with me? Then he told her everything that had happened and said; I fear that something may happen to me. Khadija said; Never! But have the glad tidings; for by Allah; Allah will never disgrace you as you keep good reactions with your Kith and kin; speak the truth; help the poor and the destitute; serve your guest generously and assist the deserving; calamityafflicted ones. Khadija then accompanied him to her cousin Waraqa Bin Nawfal Bin Asad Bin Abdul Uzza Bin Qusai. Waraqa was the son of her paternal uncle; i.e.; her father brother; who during the Pre-Islamic Period became a Christian and used to write the Arabic writing and used to write of the Gospels in Arabic as much as Allah wished him to write. He was an old man and had lost his eyesight. Khadija said to him; O my cousin! Listen to the story of your nephew. Waraqa asked; O my nephew! What have you seen? The Prophet ﷺ described whatever he had seen. Waraqa said; This is the same Namus i.e.; Gabriel; the Angel who keeps the secrets whom Allah had sent to Moses. I wish I were young and could live up to the time when your people would turn you out. Allah Messenger ﷺ asked; Will they turn me out? Waraqa replied in the affirmative and said: Never did a man come with something similar to what you have brought but was treated with hostility. If I should remain alive till the day when you will be turned out then I would support you strongly. But after a few days Waraqa died and the Divine Inspiration was also paused for a while and the Prophet ﷺ became so sad as we have heard that he intended several times to throw himself from the tops of high mountains and every time he went up the top of a mountain in order to throw himself down; Gabriel would appear before him and say; O Muhammad! You are indeed Allah Messenger ﷺ in truth whereupon his heart would become quiet and he would calm down and would return home. And whenever the period of the coming of the inspiration used to become long; he would do as before; but when he used to reach the top of a mountain; Gabriel would appear before him and say to him what he had said before. Ibn Abbas said regarding the meaning of: He it is that Cleaves the daybreak from the darkness 6.96 that AlAsbah. means the light of the sun during the day and the light of the moon at night. | The Chapter on Revelation And Angles in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Commencement of the Divine Revelation to Allahs Messenger was in the form of good dreams in Sahih AlBukhari

I kept on serving him till he returned from the battle of Khaibar. He then brought Safiya; the daughter of Huyay whom he had got from the booty. I saw him making a kind of cushion with a cloak or a garment for her. He then let her ride behind him. When we reached a place called AlSahba; he prepared a special meal called Hais; and asked me to invite the men who came and ate; and that was the marriage banquet given on the consummation of his marriage to her. Then he proceeded till the mountain of Uhud appeared; whereupon he said; This mountain loves us and we love it. When he approached Medina; he said; O Allah! So I departed; overwhelmed with excessive sorrow; and proceeded on; and could not relax till I found myself at Qarnath-Tha-alib where I lifted my head towards the sky to see a cloud shading me unexpectedly. I looked up and saw Gabriel in it. He called me saying; Allah has heard your people saying to you; and what they have replied back to you; Allah has sent the Angel of the Mountains to you so that you may order him to do whatever you wish to these people. So Allah Messenger ﷺ selected her for himself and took her along with him till we reached a place called Sad-AsSahba; where her menses were over and he took her for his wife. Haris a kind of dish was served on a small leather sheet. Then Allah Messenger ﷺ told me to call those who were around me. So; that was the marriage banquet of Allah Messenger ﷺ and Safiya. Then we left for Medina. I saw Allah Apostle folding a cloak round the hump of the camel so as to make a wide space for Safiya to sit on behind him He sat beside his camel letting his knees for Safiya to put her feet on so as to mount the camel. Then; we proceeded till we approached Medina; he looked at Uhud mountain and said; This is a mountain which loves us and is loved by us. Then he looked at Medina and said; O Allah! SahihAlBukhari-017-001-4704 | Narrated Salama: I went out of Medina towards AlGhaba. When I reached the mountain path of AlGhaba; a slave of Abdulrahman Bin Auf met me. I said to him; Woe to you! What brought you here? He replied; The camels of the Prophet ﷺ have been taken away. I said; Who took them? He said; Ghatafan and Fazara. So; I sent three cries; O Sabaha-h ! O Sabahah ! so loudly that made the people in between its i.e. Medinas two mountains hear me. Then I rushed till I met them after they had taken the camels away. I started throwing arrows at them saying; I am the son of AlAkwa; and today perish the mean people! So; I saved the camels from them before they i.e. the robbers could drink water. When I returned driving the camels; the Prophet ﷺ met me; I said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ Those people are thirsty and I have prevented them from drinking water; so send some people to chase them. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-5072 | Narrated Abdullah Bin Umar: The Prophet ﷺ said; While three men were walking; It started raining and they took shelter refuge in a cave in a mountain. A big rock rolled down from the mountain and closed the mouth of the cave. They said to each other; Think of good deeds which you did for Allah sake only; and invoke Allah by giving reference to those deeds so that He may remove this rock from you. One of them said; O Allah! I had old parents and small children and I used to graze the sheep for them. On my return to them in the evening; I used to milk the sheep and start providing my parents first of all before my children. One day I was delayed and came late at night and found my parents sleeping. I milked the sheep as usual and stood by their heads. I hated to wake them up and disliked to give milk to my children before them; although my children were weeping because of hunger at my feet till the day dawned. O Allah! If I did this for Your sake only; kindly remove the rock so that we could see the sky through it. So; Allah removed the rock a little and they saw the sky. The second man said; O Allah! I was in love with a cousin of mine like the deepest love a man may have for a woman. I wanted to outrage her chastity but she refused unless I gave her one hundred Dinars. So; I struggled to collect that amount. And when I sat between her legs; she said; O Allah slave! Be afraid of Allah and do not deflower me except rightfully by marriage. So; I got up. O Allah! If I did it for Your sake only; please remove the rock. The rock shifted a little more. Then the third man said; O Allah! I employed a laborer for a Faraq of rice and when he finished his job and demanded his right; I presented it to him; but he refused to take it. So; I sowed the rice many time till I gathered cows and their shepherd from the yield. Then after some time He came and said to me; Fear Allah and give me my right. I said; Go and take those cows and the shepherd. He said; Be afraid of Allah! Dont mock at me. I said; I am not mocking at you. Take all that. So; he took all that. O Allah! If I did that for Your sake only; please remove the rest of the rock. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-5585 | Narrated Hisham Ibn Urwa from his father who said: While I was a youngster; I asked Aisha the wife of the Prophet. What about the meaning of the Statement of Allah; Verily! the mountains AlSafa and AlMarwa; are among the symbols of Allah. So; it is not harmful if those who perform Hajj or Umra of the House Kaba at Mecca to perform the going Tawaf between them? 2.158 I understand from that that there is no harm if somebody does not perform the Tawaf between them. Aisha replied; No; for if it were as you are saying; then the recitation would have been like this: It is not harmful not to perform Tawaf between them. This verse was revealed in connection with the Ansar who used to assume the Ihram for the idol Manat which was put beside a place called Qudaid and those people thought it not right to perform the Tawaf of AlSafa and AlMarwa. When Islam came; they asked Allah Messenger ﷺ about that; and Allah revealed:- Verily! the mountains AlSafa and AlMarwa Are among the symbols of Allah. So; it is not harmful of those who perform Hajj or Umra of the House Kaba at Mecca to perform the going Tawaf between them. 2.158 Sufyan and Abu Muawiya added from Hisham from Aisha : The Hajj or Umra of the person who does not perform the going Tawaf between AlSafa and AlMarwa is incomplete in Allah sight. | The Chapter on The Tawaf And Saei in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The same ceremonies in Umra as in Hajj in Sahih AlBukhari

SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6663 | Narrated Abdullah Bin Zaid Bin Aasi m: When Allah gave to His Apostle the war booty on the day of Hunain; he distributed that booty amongst those whose hearts have been recently reconciled to Islam ; but did not give anything to the Ansar. So they seemed to have felt angry and sad as they did not get the same as other people had got. The Prophet ﷺ then delivered a sermon before them; saying; O; the assembly of Ansar! Didnt I find you astray; and then Allah guided you on the Right Path through me? You were divided into groups; and Allah brought you together through me; you were poor and Allah made you rich through me. Whatever the Prophet ﷺ said ; they i.e. the Ansar said; Allah and his Apostle have more favours to do. The Prophet ﷺ said; What stops you from answering the Messenger of Allah? But whatever he said to them; they replied; Allah and His Apostle have more favours to do. The Prophet ﷺ then said; If you wish you could say: You came to us in such-and-such state at Medina. Wouldnt you be willing to see the people go away with sheep and camels while you go with the Prophet ﷺ to your homes? But for the migration; I would have been one of the Ansar; and if the people took their way through a valley or mountain pass; I would select the valley or mountain pass of the Ansar. The Ansar are Shiar i.e. those clothes which are in direct contact with the body and worn inside the other garments ; and the people are Dithar i.e. those clothes which are not in direct contact with the body and are worn over other garments. SahihMuslim-017-001-18036 | It has been narrated on the authority of Salama Bin AlAkwa who said: We fought against the Fazara; and Abu Bakr was the commander over us. He had been appointed by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. When we were only at an hour distance from the water of the enemy; Abu Bakr ordered us to attack. We made a halt during the last part of the night to rest and then we attacked from all sides and reached their watering-place where a battle was fought. Some of the enemies were killed and some were taken prisoners. I saw a group of persons that consisted of women and children. I was afraid lest they should reach the mountain before me; so I shot an arrow between them and the mountain. When they saw the arrow; they stopped. So I brought them; driving them along. Among them was a woman from Banu Fazara. She was wearing a leather coat. With her was her daughter who was one of the prettiest girls in Arabia. I drove them along until I brought them to Abu Bakr who bestowed that girl upon me as a prize. So we arrived in Medina. I had not yet disrobed her when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ met me in the street and said: Give me that girl; O Salama. I said: Messenger of Allah; she has fascinated me. I had not yet disrobed her. When on the next day the Messenger of Allah ﷺ again met me in the street; he said: O Salama; give me that girl; may God bless your father. I said: She is for you; Messenger of Allah! By Allah. I have not yet disrobed her. SahihMuslim-017-001-18117 | It has been narrated on the authority of Aisha; the wife of the Prophet ﷺ ; who said to the Messenger of Allah may peace he upon him : Messenger of Allah; has there come upon you a day more terrible than the day of Uhud. He said: I have experienced from thy people and the hardest treatment I met from them was what I received from them on the day of Aqaba. I betook myself to Ibn Abd Yalil Bin Abd Kulal with the purpose of inviting him to Islam; but he did not respond to me as I desired. So I departed with signs of deep distress on my face. I did not recover until I reached Qarn AlThaalib. Where I raised my head; lo! near me was a cloud which had cast its shadow on me. I looked and lo! there was in it the angel Jibril who called out to me and said: God; the Honoured and Glorious; has heard what thy people have said to thee; and how they have reacted to thy call. And He has sent to thee the angel in charge of the mountains so that thou mayest order him what thou wishest him to do with regard to them. The angel in charge of the mountains then called out to me; greeted me and said: Muhammad; God has listened to what thy people have said to thee. I am the angel in charge of the mountains; and thy Lord has sent me to thee so that thou mayest order me what thou wishest. If thou wishest that I should bring together the two mountains that stand opposite to each other at the extremities of Mecca to crush them in between; I would do that. Aisha may Allah be pleased with her said Nay; had it been so as you said; it would have been thus. It is no sin on him not to go around them.
