SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1186 | Narrated Zahdam: There were good relations and brotherhood between this tribe of Jurm and the Ashariyin. Once; while we were sitting with Abu Mousa AlAshari; there was brought to him a meal which contained chicken meat; and there was sitting beside him; a man from the tribe of Bani Taim Allah who looked like one of the Mawali. Abu Mousa invited the man to eat but the man said; I have seen chicken eating some dirty things; and I have taken an oath not to eat chicken. Abu Mousa said to him; Come along; let me tell you something in this regard. Once I went to the Prophet ﷺ with a few men from Ashariyin and we asked him for mounts. The Prophet ﷺ said; By Allah; I will not mount you on anything; besides I do not have anything to mount you on. Then a few camels from the war booty were brought to the Prophet; and he asked about us; saying; Where are the group of Ashariyin? So he ordered for five fat camels to be given to us and then we set out. We said; What have we done? Allah Messenger ﷺ took an oath that he would not give us anything to ride and that he had nothing for us to ride; yet he provided us with mounts. We made Allah Messenger ﷺ forget his oath! By Allah; we will never be successful. So we returned to him and reminded him of his oath. He said; I have not provided you with the mount; but Allah has done so. By Allah; I may take an oath to do something; but on finding something else which is better; I do that which is better and make the expiation for my oath. | The Chapter on Journeys And Travel And Oaths in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on While Allah has created you and what you make in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1510 | Narrated Abu Mousa AlAshari: I went to Allah Messenger ﷺ along with a group of people from the tribe of AlAshari; asking for mounts. The Prophet ﷺ said; By Allah; I will not give you anything to ride; and I have nothing to mount you on. We stayed there as long as Allah wished; and after that; some camels were brought to the Prophet and he ordered that we be given three camels. When we set out; some of us said to others; Allah will not bless us; as we all went to Allah Messenger ﷺ asking him for mounts; and although he had sworn that he would not give us mounts; he did give us. So we returned to the Prophet; and mentioned that to him. He said; I have not provided you with mounts; but Allah has. By Allah; Allah willing; if I ever take an oath; and then see that another is better than the first; I make expiration for my dissolved oath; and do what is better and make expiration. | The Chapter on Journeys And Travel And Oaths in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on To say In sha Allah while taking an oath in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1513 | Narrated Zahdam AlJarmi: We were sitting with Abu Mousa AlAshsari; and as there were ties of friendship and mutual favors between us and his tribe. His meal was presented before him and there was chicken meat in it. Among those who were present there was a man from Bani Taimillah having a red complexion as a non-Arab freed slave; and that man did not approach the meal. Abu Mousa said to him; Come along! I have seen Allah Messenger ﷺ eating of that i.e.; chicken. The man said; I have seen it chickens eating something I regarded as dirty; and so I have taken an oath that I shall not eat its meat chicken. Abu Mousa said; Come along! I will inform you about it i.e.; your oath. Once we went to Allah Messenger ﷺ in company with a group of Ashairiyin; asking him for mounts while he was distributing some camels from the camels of Zakat. Ayoub said; I think he said that the Prophet was in an angry mood at the time. The Prophet ﷺ said; By Allah! I will not give you mounts; and I have nothing to mount you on. After we had left; some camels of booty were brought to Allah Apostle and he said; Where are those Ashariyin? Where are those Ashariyin? So we went to him and he gave us five very fat good-looking camels. We mounted them and went away; and then I said to my companions; We went to Allah Messenger ﷺ to give us mounts; but he took an oath that he would not give us mounts; and then later on he sent for us and gave us mounts; perhaps Allah Messenger ﷺ forgot his oath. By Allah; we will never be successful; for we have taken advantage of the fact that Allah Messenger ﷺ forgot to fulfill his oath. So let us return to Allah Messenger ﷺ to remind him of his oath. We returned and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! We came to you and asked you for mounts; but you took an oath that you would not give us mounts but later on you gave us mounts; and we thought or considered that you have forgotten your oath. The Prophet ﷺ said; Depart; for Allah has given you Mounts. By Allah; Allah willing; if I take an oath and then later find another thing better than that; I do what is better; and make expiation for the oath. two other narrations through Zahdam as above | The Chapter on Journeys And Travel And Oaths in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on To make expiation for ones oath in Sahih AlBukhari

He said; By Allah; I will not provide you with mounts and I havent got anything to mount you on. Then we stayed there as long as Allah wished us to stay; and then three very nice looking camels were brought to him and he made us ride them. When we left; we; or some of us; said; By Allah; we will not be blessed; as we came to the Prophet ﷺ asking him for mounts; and he swore that he would not give us any mounts but then he did give us. So let us go back to the Prophet ﷺ and remind him of his oath. When we returned to him and reminded him of the fact ; he said; I did not give you mounts; but it is Allah Who gave you. By Allah; Allah willing; if I ever take an oath to do something and then I find something else than the first; I will make expiation for my oath and do the thing which is better or do something which is better and give the expiation for my oath. | The Chapter on Oaths And Pledges And Kaffara in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Allah will not punish you for what is unintentional in your oaths but He will punish you for your deliberate oaths in Sahih AlBukhari

Abu Mousa invited him to the meal. He said; I have seen chickens eating dirty things; so I deemed it filthy and took an oath that I would never eat chicken. On that; Abu Mousa said; Get up; I will narrate to you about that. Once a group of the Ashariyin and I went to Allah Messenger ﷺ and asked him to provide us with mounts; he said; By Allah; I will never give you any mounts nor do I have anything to mount you on. Then a few camels of war booty were brought to Allah Messenger ﷺ ; and he asked about us; saying; Where are the AlAshariyin? SahihAlBukhari-017-001-2475 | Narrated Usama Bin Zaid: The Prophet ﷺ rode a donkey having a saddle with a Fadakiya velvet covering. He mounted me behind him and went to visit Saad Bin Ubada; and that had been before the battle of Badr. The Prophet ﷺ proceeded till he passed by a gathering in which Abdullah Bin Ubai Bin Salul was present; and that had been before Abdullah embraced Islam. The gathering comprised of Muslims; polytheists; i.e.; isolators and Jews. Abdullah Bin Rawaha was also present in that gathering. When dust raised by the donkey covered the gathering; Abdullah Bin Ubai covered his nose with his upper garment and said; Do not trouble us with dust. The Prophet ﷺ greeted them; stopped and dismounted. Then he invited them to Allah i.e.; to embrace Islam and recited to them some verses of the Holy Quran. On that; Abdullah Bin Ubai said; O man ! There is nothing better than what you say if it is true. Do not trouble us with it in our gathering; but return to your house; and if somebody comes to you; teach him there. On that Abdullah Bin Rawaha said; Yes; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Bring your teachings to our gathering; for we love that. So the Muslims; the pagans and the Jews started abusing each other till they were about to fight. The Prophet ﷺ kept on quietening them till they became calm. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6880 | Narrated Usama Bin Zaid: Allah Messenger ﷺ rode a donkey; equipped with a thick cloth-covering made in Fadak and was riding behind him. He was going to pay visit to Saad Bin Ubada in Banu AlHarith Bin AlKhazraj; and this incident happened before the battle of Badr. The Prophet ﷺ passed by a gathering in which Abdullah Bin Ubai Bin Salul was present; and that was before Abdullah Bin Ubai embraced Islam. Behold in that gathering there were people of different religions: there were Muslims; pagans; idol-worshippers and Jews; and in that gathering Abdullah Bin Rawaha was also present. When a cloud of dust raised by the donkey reached that gathering; Abdullah Bin Ubai covered his nose with his garment and then said; Do not cover us with dust. Then Allah Messenger ﷺ greeted them and stopped and dismounted and invited them to Allah i.e. to embrace Islam and recited to them the Holy Quran. On that; Abdullah Bin Ubai Bin Saluil said; O man ! There is nothing better than that what you say. If it is the truth; then do not trouble us with it in our gatherings. Return to your mount or residence and if somebody comes to you; relate your tales to him. On that Abdullah Bin Rawaha said; Yes; O Allah Apostle! Bring it i.e. what you want to say to us in our gathering; for we love that. So the Muslims; the pagans and the Jews started abusing one another till they were on the point of fighting with one another. The Prophet ﷺ kept on quietening them till they became quiet; whereupon the Prophet rode his animal mount and proceeded till he entered upon Saad Bin Ubada. The Prophet ﷺ said to Sad; Did you not hear what Abu Hub-b said? He meant Abdullah Bin Ubai. He said so-andso. On that Saad Bin Ubada said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Excuse and forgive him; for by Him Who revealed the Book to you; Allah brought the Truth which was sent to you at the time when the people of this town i.e. Medina had decided unanimously to crown him and tie a turban on his head electing him as chief. But when Allah opposed that decision through the Truth which Allah gave to you; he i.e. Abdullah Bin Ubai was grieved with jealously. and that caused him to do what you have seen. So Allah Messenger ﷺ excused him; for the Prophet ﷺ and his companions used to forgive the pagans and the people of Scripture as Allah had ordered them; and they used to put up with their mischief with patience. Allah said: And you shall certainly hear much that will grieve you from those who received the Scripture before you and from the pagans........ 3.186 And Allah also said:-Many of the people of the Scripture wish if they could turn you away as disbelievers after you have believed; from selfish envy.. 2.109 So the Prophet ﷺ used to stick to the principle of forgiveness for them as long as Allah ordered him to do so till Allah permitted fighting them. So when Allah Messenger ﷺ fought the battle of Badr and Allah killed the nobles of Quraish infidels through him; Ibn Ubai Bin Salul and the pagans and idolaters who were with him; said; This matter i.e. Islam has appeared i.e. became victorious. So they gave the pledge of allegiance for embracing Islam to Allah Messenger ﷺ and became Muslims. | The Chapter on Pre-Islam And Makkah in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Prophetic Commentary on the Quran Tafseer of the Prophet in Sahih AlBukhari |

SahihMuslim-017-001-17524 | Abu Mousa AlAshari reported: I came to Allah Apostle ﷺ along with a group of Asharites requesting to give us a mount. He the Holy Prophet said: By Allah; I cannot provide you with a mount; and there is nothing with me which I should give you as a ride. He the narrator said: We stayed there as long as Allah willed. Then there were brought to him to the Holy Prophet camels. He the Holy Prophet then ordered to give us three white humped camels; We started and said or some of us said to the others : Allah will not bless us. We came to Allah Messenger ﷺ begging him to provide us with riding camels. He swore that he could not provide us with a mount; but later on he provided us with that. They some of the Prophet Companions came and informed him about this rankling of theirs ; whereupon he said: It was not I who provided you with a mount; but Allah has provided you with that. SahihMuslim-017-001-17525 | Abu Mousa reported: My friends sent me to Allah Messenger ﷺ asking him to provide them with mounts as they were going along with him in jaish AlUsrah the army of destitutes or of meagre means or army setting out during the hard times and that is the occasion of the expedition of Tabuk I said: Apostle of Allah; my friends have sent me to you so that you may provide them with mounts. He the Holy Prophet said: By Allah; I cannot provide you with anything to ride. And it so happened that he was at that time much perturbed. I little knew of it; so I came back with a heavy heart on account of the refusal of Allah Messenger ﷺ ; and the fear that Allah Messenger ﷺ might have some feelings against me. I returned to my friends and informed them about what Allah Messenger ﷺ had said. I had hardly stayed for a little that I heard Bilal calling: Abdullah Bin Qais. I responded to his call. He said: Hasten to Allah Messenger ﷺ ; he is calling you; When I came to the Prophet ﷺ he said: Take this pair; this pair; and this pair i. e. six camels which he had bought from Sad ; and take them to y; our friends and say: Verily Allah or he said: Verily Allah Messenger ﷺ has provided you with these animals. So ride upon them. Abu Mousa said: I went along with them to my friends and said: Verily Allah messenger ﷺ has provided you with these animals for riding; but by Allah; I shall not leave you until some of you go along with me to him who had heard the talk of Allah Messenger ﷺ then I asked him for you; and his refusal for the first time; and then his granting them to me subsequently; so you should not think that I narrated to you something which he did not say. They said to me: By Allah; in our opinion you are certainly truthful; and we would do as you like. So Abu Mousa went along withsome of the menfrom them until they came to those who had heard the words of Allah Messenger may; ﷺ and his refusal to provide them with animals ; and subsequently his granting the animals to them; and they narrated to them exactly as Abu Masa had narrated to them. | The Chapter on Military Expedition And Almadinah in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 3 in Sahih Muslim

His complexion was red having the resemblance of a slave. He said to him: Come and join me in food. He showed reluctance. He Abu Masa said: Come on; for I saw Allah Messenger ﷺ eating it fowl meat ; whereupon that person said: I saw it eating something of filth and rubbish and I found it repugnant and took an oath that I would never eat that. He Abu Muds said: Come; so that I would narrate to you about that the incident pertaining to vow. And he narrated thus : I came to Allah Messenger ﷺ along with a group of people belonging to the tribe of Ashari; asking him to provide us with riding camels. He the Holy Prophet said: By Allah; I cannot provide you with riding animals. And there is nothing with me with which I can provide you a mount. We stayed for some time there as Allah willed; and there was brought to Allah Messenger ﷺ booty of camels. He called us and commanded that we should be given five white humped camels. As we were about to go back; some of us said to the other: As we made Allah Messenger ﷺ forget oath; there would be no blessing for us in his gift. We went back to him and said: Allah Messenger; we came to you to provide us with riding animals and you took an oath that you would never equip us with mounts and then you have provided us with the riding beasts Allah Messenger; have you forgotten? Thereupon he said: I swear by Allah that if Allah so wills; I shall not swear an oath; and then consider something else to be better than it without making atonement for my oath and doing the thing that is better. SahihMuslim-017-001-18088 | It has been narrated on the authority of Abdullah Bin Rabah who said: We came to Muawiya Bin Abu Sufyan as a deputation and Abu Huraira was among us. Each of us would prepare food for his companions turn by turn for a day. Accordingly when it was my turn I said: Abu Huraira; it is my turn today. So they came to my place. The food was not yet ready; so I said to Abu Huraira: I wish you could narrate to us a tradition from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ until the food was ready. Complying with my request Abu Huraira said: We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the day of the Conquest of Mecca. He appointed Khalid Bin Walid as commander of the right flank; AlZubair as commander of the left flank; and Abu Ubaida as commander of the foot-soldiers who were to advance to the interior of the valley. He then said: Abu Huraira; call the Ansar to me. So I called out to them and they came hurriedly. He said: O ye Assembly of the Ansaar; do you see the ruffians of the Quraish? They said: Yes. He said: See; when you meet them tomorrow; wipe them out. He hinted at this with his hand; placing his right hand on his left and said: You will meet us at AlSafa. Abu Huraira continued : Whoever was seen by them that day was put to death. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ascended the mount of AlSafa. The Ansar also came there and surrounded the mount. Then came Abu Sufyan and said: Messenger ot Allah; the Quraish have perished. No member of the Quraish tribe will survive this day. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Who enters the house of Abu Safyin will be safe; who lays down arms will be safe; who locks his door will be safe. some of the Ansar said: After all the man has been swayed by tenderness towards his family and love for his city. At this; Divine inspiration descended upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said: You were saying that the man has been swayed by tenderness towards his family and love for his city. Do you know what my name is? I am Muhammad; the bondman of God and His Messenger. He repeated this thrice. I left my native place for the take of Allah and joined you. So I will live with you and die with you. Now the Ansar said: By God; we said that only out of our greed for Allah and His Messenger. So I entered and offered two rakahs of prayer; and then returned. He the Holy Prophet then commanded Bilal to weigh out one uqiya of silver tor me. Bilal weighed that out for me lowering the scale of balance. So I proceeded and as I turned my back he said: Call for me; Jabir. I had too much respect for the Messenger of Allah SAWSYMOBOL to ride the mount of the Messenger of Allah SAWSYMOBOL. Then he said: Why dont you ride; O Uqbah? I was worried that I might be disobeying him; so he got off; and I rode for a little while; then I got off and the Messenger of Allah SAWSYMOBOL rode. Then he said: Shall I not teach you two of the best Surahs that the people recite? And he taught me: Say: I seek refuge with Allah the Lord of the daybreak; and Say: I seek refuge with Allah the Lord of mankind. Then the Iqamah was said and he went forward and recited them. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-25570 | Jafar Bin Muhammad reported on the authority of his father We entered upon Jabir Bin Abd Allaah. When we reached him; he asked about the people who had come to visit him. When my turn came I said I am Muhammad Bin Ali Bin Hussain. He patted my head with his hand and undid my upper then lower buttons. He then placed his hand between my nipples and in those days I was a young boy. He then said welcome to you my nephew; ask what you like. I questioned him he was blind. The time of prayer came and he stood wrapped in a mantle. Whenever he placed it on his shoulders its ends fell due to its shortness. He led us in prayer while his mantle was placed on a rack by his side. I said tell me about the Hajj of the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ.He signed with his hand and folded his fingers indicating nine. He then said Apostle of Allaah ﷺ remained nine years at Madeenah during which he did not perform Hajj; then made a public announcement in the tenth year to the effect that the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ was about to go to perform Hajj. A large number of people came to Madeenah everyone desiring to follow him and act like him. The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ went out and we too went out with him till we reached Dhu AlHulaifa. Asma daughter of Umais gave birth to Muhammad Bin Abi Bakr. She sent message to Apostle of Allaah ﷺ asking him What should I do?He replied take a bath; bandage your private parts with a cloth and put on ihram. The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ then prayed in the masjid and mounted AlQaswa and his she Camel stood erect with him on its back. Jabir said I saw a large number of people on mounts and on foot in front of him and a similar number on his right side and a similar number on his left side and a similar number behind him. The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ was among us; the Quran was being revealed to him and he knew its interpretation. Whatever he did; we did it. The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ then raised his voice declaring Allaahs unity and saying Labbaik I am at thy service ; O Allaah; labbaik; labbaik; Thou hast no partner praise and grace are Thine and the Dominion. Thou hast no partner. The people too raised their voices in talbiyah which they used to utter. But the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ did not forbid them anything. The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ continued his talbiyah. Jabir said We did not express our intention of performing anything but Hajj; being unaware of Umrah at that season ; but when we came with him to the House the Kabah ; he touched the corner and made seven circuits walking quickly with pride in three of them and walking ordinarily in four. Then going forward to the station of Abraham he recited And take the station of Abraham as a place of prayer. While praying two rakahs he kept the station between him and the House. The narrator said My father said that Ibn Nufail and Uthman said I do not know that he Jabir narrated it from anyone except the Prophet ﷺ. The narrator Sulaiman said I do not know but he Jabir said The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ used to recite in the two rakahs Say; He is Allaah; one and Say O infidels. He then returned to the House the kabah and touched the corner after which he went out by the gate to AlSafa. When he reached near AlSafa he recited AlSafa and AlMarwah are among the indications of Allaah and he added We begin with what Allaah began with. He then began with AlSafa and mounting it till he could see the House the Kabah he declared the greatness of Allaah and proclaimed his Unity. He then said there is no god but Allaah alone; Who alone has fulfilled His promise; helped His servant and routed the confederates. He then made supplication in the course of that saying such words three times. He then descended and walked towards AlMarwah and when his feet came down into the bottom of the valley; he ran; and when he began to ascend he walked till he reached AlMarwah. He did at AlMarwah as he had done at AlSafa and when he came to AlMarwah for the last time; he said If I had known before what I have come to know afterwards regarding this matter of mine; I would not have brought sacrificial animals but made it an Umrah; so if any of you has no sacrificial animals; he may take off ihram and treat it as an Umrah. All the people then took off ihram and clipped their hair except the Prophet ﷺ and those who had brought sacrificial animals. Suraqah bin Malik Bin Jusham then got up and asked Apostle of Allaah ﷺ does this apply to the present year or does it apply for ever? The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ interwined his fingers and said The Umarh has been incorporated in Hajj. Adding No; but forever and ever. Ali came from Yemen with the sacrificial animals of the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ and found Fathima among one of those who had taken off their ihram. She said put on colored clothes and stained her eyes with collyrium. Ali disliked this action of her and asked Who commanded you for this? She said My father. Jabir said Ali said at Iraq I went to Apostle of Allaah ﷺ to complain against Fathima for what she had done and to ask the opinion of Apostle of Allaah ﷺ about which she mentioned to me. I informed him that I disliked her action and that thereupon she said to me My father commanded me to do this. He said She spoke the truth; she spoke the truth. What did you say when you put on ihram for Hajj? I said O Allaah; I put on ihram for the same purpose for which Apostle of Allaah ﷺ has put it on. He said I have sacrificial animals with me; so do not take off ihram. He Jabir said The total of those sacrificial animals brought by Ali from Yemen and of those brought by the Prophet ﷺ from Madeenah was one hundred. Then all the people except the Prophet ﷺ and those who had with them the sacrificial animals took off ihram and clipped their hair. When the 8th of Dhu AlHijja Yaum AlTarwiyah came; they went towards Mina having pit on ihram for Hajj and the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ rode and prayed at Mina the noon; afternoon; sunset; night and dawn prayers. After that he waited a little till the sun rose and gave orders for a tent of hair to be set up at Namrah. The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ then sent out and the Quraish did not doubt that he would halt at AlMash ar AlHaram at AlMuzdalifah; as the Quraish used to do in the pre Islamic period but he passed on till he came to Arafat and found that the tent had been setup at Namrah. There he dismounted and when the sun had passed the meridian he ordered AlQaswa to be brought and when it was saddled for him; he went down to the bottom of the valley and addressed the people saying Your lives and your property must be respected by one another like the sacredness of this day of yours in the month of yours in this town of yours. Lo! Everything pertaining to the pre Islamic period has been put under my feet and claims for blood vengeance belonging to the pre Islamic period have been abolished. The first of those murdered among us whose blood vengeance I permit is the blood vengeance of ours according to the version of the narrator Uthman; the blood vengeance of the son of Rabiah and according to the version of the narrator Sulaiman the blood vengeance of the son of Rabiah Bin AlHarith Bin Abd AlMuttalib. Some scholars said he was suckled among Banu Sad i.e.; he was brought up among Bani Sad and then killed by Hudhail. The usury of the pre Islamic period is abolished and the first of usury I abolish is our usury; the usury of Abbas Bin Abd AlMuttalib for it is all abolished. Fear Allaah regarding women for you have got them under Allahs security and have the right to intercourse with them by Allaahs word. It is a duty from you on them not to allow anyone whom you dislike to lie on your beds but if they do beat them; but not severely. You are responsible for providing them with food and clothing in a fitting manner. I have left among you something by which if you hold to it you will never again go astray; that is Allaahs Book. You will be asked about me; so what will you say? They replied We testify that you have conveyed and fulfilled the message and given counsel. Then raising his forefinger towards the sky and pointing it at the people; he said O Allaah! Be witness; O Allaah! Be witness; O Allaah! Be witness! Bilal then uttered the call to prayer and the iqamah and he prayed the noon prayer; he then uttered the iqamah and he prayed the afternoon prayer; engaging in no prayer between the two. He then mounted his she Camel AlQaswa and came to the place of standing ; making his she Camel AlQaswa turn its back to the rocks and having the path taken by those who went on foot in front of him and he faced the qiblah. He remained standing till sunset when the yellow light had somewhat gone and the disc of the sun had disappeared. He took Usamah up behind him and picked the reins of AlQaswa severely so much so that its head was touching the front part of the saddle. Pointing with is right hand he was saying Calmness; O People! Calmness; O people. Whenever he came over a mound of sand he let loose its reins a little so that it could ascend. He then came to AlMuzdalifah where he combined the sunset and night prayers; with one adhan and two iqamahs. The narrator Uthamn said He did not offer supererogatory prayers between them. The narrators are then agreed upon the version He then lay down till dawn and prayed the dawn prayer when the morning light was clear. The narrator Sulaiman said with one adhan and one iqamah. The narrators are then agreed upon the version He then mounted AlQaswa and came to AlMashar AlHaram and ascended it. The narrators Uthaman and Sulaiman said He faced the qiblah praised Allaah; declared His greatness; His uniqueness. Uthamn added in his version and His Unity and kept standing till the day was very clear. The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ then went quickly before the sun rose ; taking AlFadl Bin Abbas behind him. He was a man having beautiful hair; white and handsome color. When the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ went quickly; the women in the howdas also began to pass him quickly. AlFadl began to look at them. The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ placed his hand on the face of AlFadl ; but Alfadl turned his face towards the other side. The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ also turned away his hand to the other side. AlFadl also turned his face to the other side looking at them till he came to the Valley of Muhassir. He urged the Camel a little and following a middle road which comes out at the greatest jamrah; he came to the jamrah which is beside the tree and he threw seven small pebbles at this jamrah saying Allah is most great each time he threw a pebble like bean seeds. He threw them from the bottom of the valley. The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ then went to the place of the sacrifice and sacrificed sixty three Camels with his own hand. He then commanded Ali who sacrificed the remainder and he shared him and his sacrificial animals. After that he ordered that a piece of flesh from each Camel should be put in a pot and when it was cooked the two of them ate some of it and drank some of its broth. The narrator Sulaiman said the he mounted afterwards the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ went quickly to the House the Kabah and prayed the noon prayer at Makkah. He came to Banu Abd AlMuttalib who were supplying water at Zamzam and said draw water Banu Abd AlMuttalib were it not that people would take from you the right to draw water; I would draw it along with you. So they handed him a bucket and he drank from it. | The Chapter on Throwing In Alhajj And Ihram in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The Description Of The Prophet Hajj in Sunan Abu Dawoud

Addressing Bilal he said: Keep vigilance at night for us. But Bilal who was leaning against the saddle of his mount was dominated by sleep. Neither the Prophet ﷺ nor Bilal nor any of his Companions could get up till the sunshine struck them. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ got up first of all. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was embarrassed and said: O Bilal ! He replied: He who detained your soul; detained my soul; Messenger of Allah; my parents be sacrificed for you. Then they drove their mounts to a little distance. The Prophet ﷺ perfumed ablution and commanded Bilal who made announcement for the prayer. He the Prophet led them in the Fajr prayer. When he finished prayer; he said: If anyone forget saying prayer; he should observe it when he recalls it; for Allah has said in the Quran : Establish prayer for my remembrance. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-29326 | Narrated Abdullah AlHawzani: I met Bilal; the Muadhdhin of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at Aleppo; and said: Bilal; tell me; what was the financial position of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ? He said: He had nothing. It was I who managed it on his behalf since the day Allah made him Prophet of Allah ﷺ until he died. When a Muslim man came to him and he found him naked; he ordered me to clothe him. I would go; borrow some money ; and purchase a cloak for him. I would then clothe him and feed him. A man from the polytheists met me and said: I am well off; Bilal. Do not borrow money from anyone except me. So I did accordingly. One day when I performed ablution and stood up to make call to prayer; the same polytheist came along with a body of merchants. When he saw me; he said: O Abyssinian. I said: I am at your service. He met me with unpleasant looks and said harsh words to me. He asked me: Do you know how many days remain in the completion of this month? I replied: The time is near. He said: Only four days remain in the completion of this month. I shall then take that which is due from you i.e. loan ; and then shall return you to tend the sheep as you did before. I began to think in my mind what people think in their minds on such occasions. When I offered the night prayer; the Messenger of Allah ﷺ returned to his family. I sought permission from him and he gave me permission. I said: Messenger of Allah; may my parents be sacrificed for you; the polytheist from whom I used to borrow money said to me such-and-such. Neither you nor I have anything to pay him for me; and he will disgrace me. So give me permission to run away to some of those tribes who have recently embraced Islam until Allah gives His Apostle ﷺ something with which he can pay the debt for me. So I came out and reached my house. I placed my sword; waterskin or sheath ; shoes and shield near my head. When dawn broke; I intended to be on my way. All of a sudden I saw a man running towards me and calling: Bilal; return to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. So I went till I reached him. I found four mounts kneeling on the ground with loads on them. I sought permission. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me: Be glad; Allah has made arrangements for the payment of your debt. He then asked: Have you not seen the four mounts kneeling on the ground? I replied: Yes. He said: You may have these mounts and what they have on them. There are clothes and food on them; presented to me by the ruler of Fadak. Take them away and pay off your debt. I did so. He then mentioned the rest of the tradition. I then went to the Masjid and found that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was sitting there. I greeted him. He asked: What benefit did you have from your property? I replied: Allah Most High paid everything which was due from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Nothing remains now. He asked: Did anything remain from that property ? I said: Yes. He said: Look; if you can give me some comfort from it; for I shall not visit any member of my family until you give me some comfort from it. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ offered the night prayer; he called me and said: What is the position of that which you had with you i.e. property ? I said: I still have it; no one came to me. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed the night in the Masjid. He then narrated the rest of the tradition. Next day when he offered the night prayer; he called me and asked: What is the position of that which you had i.e. the rest of the property ? I replied: Allah has given you comfort from it; Messenger of Allah. He said: Allah is Most Great; and praised Allah; fearing lest he should die while it was with him. A horseman came and said: Messenger of Allah; I went before you and climbed a certain mountain where saw Hawazin all together with their women; cattle; and sheep; having gathered at Hunayn. Anas Ibn Abu Marthad AlGhanawi said: I shall ; Messenger of Allah. He said: Then mount your horse. He then mounted his horse; and came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. The Messenger of Allah said to him: Go forward to this ravine till you get to the top of it. We should not be exposed to danger from your side. In the morning the Apostle of of Allah ﷺ came out to his place of prayer; and offered two rakahs. He then said: Have you seen any sign of your horseman? They said: We have not; Messenger of Allah. The announcement of the time for prayer was then made; and while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was saying the prayer; he began to glance towards the ravine. When he finished his prayer and uttered salutation; he said: Cheer up; for your horseman has come. We therefore began to look between the trees in the ravine; and sure enough he had come. He stood beside the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; saluted him and said: I continued till I reached the top of this ravine where the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded me; and in the morning I looked down into both ravines but saw no one. MuwataMalik-017-001-34626 | Yahya related to me from Malik from Zayd Ibn Aslam that Jabir Ibn Abdullah AlAnsari said; We went out with the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; in the raid on the Banu Ammar tribe. Jabir said; I was resting under a tree when the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; came. I said; Messenger of Allah; come to the shade. So the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; sat down; and I stood up and went to a sack of ours. I looked in it for something and found a small cucumber and broke it. Then I brought it to the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace. He said; From where did you get this? I said; We brought it from Madina; Messenger of Allah. Jabir continued; We had a friend of ours with us whom we used to equip to go out to guard our mounts. I gave him what was necessary and then he turned about to go to the mounts and he was wearing two threadbare cloaks of his. The Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; looked at him and said; Does he have two garments other than these? I said; Yes; Messenger of Allah. He has two garments in the bag. I gave them to him. He said; Let him go and put them on. I let him go to put them on. As he turned to go; the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; exclaimed; May Allah strike his neck. Isnt that better for him? He said taking him literally ; Messenger of Allah; in the way of Allah. The Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; said; In the way of Allah. MuwataMalik-017-001-35911 | Malik was asked about whether a man could stand at Arafa; or at Muzdalifa; or stone the Jamras; or do say between Safa and Marwa if he was not in Ablution; and he said; Every practice in the hajj that a menstruating woman can take part in can be taken part in by a man who is not in Ablution and there is nothing due from him for that. However; it is better for him to be in Ablution for all those things; and he should not make a general practice of it. Malik was asked whether a man who was riding should get down to do the standing at Arafa or if he could stand while mounted; and he said; He can stand while mounted; unless he or his riding beast have an illness; in which case Allah is the one who most often accepts an excuse. | The Chapter on Ablution And Eating Meat And Drinks in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Business Transactions in Muwata Malik |
