SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1070Narrated Ata Bin Yazid AlLaithi: On the authority of Abu Huraira: The people said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Shall we see our Lord on the Day of Resurrection? The Prophet ﷺ said; Do you have any difficulty in seeing the moon on a full moon night? They said; No; O Allah Messenger ﷺ. He said; Do you have any difficulty in seeing the sun when there are no clouds? They said; No; O Allah Messenger ﷺ. He said; So you will see Him; like that. Allah will gather all the people on the Day of Resurrection; and say; Whoever worshipped something in the world should follow that thing ; so; whoever worshipped the sun will follow the sun; and whoever worshiped the moon will follow the moon; and whoever used to worship certain other false deities; he will follow those deities. And there will remain only this nation with its good people or its hypocrites. The sub-narrator; Ibrahim is in doubt. Allah will come to them and say; I am your Lord. They will deny Him and say; We will stay here till our Lord comes; for when our Lord comes; we will recognize Him. So Allah will come to them in His appearance which they know; and will say; I am your Lord. They will say; You are our Lord; so they will follow Him. Then a bridge will be laid across Hell Fire I and my followers will be the first ones to go across it and none will speak on that Day except the Apostles. And the invocation of the Apostles on that Day will be; O Allah; save! Save! In Hell or over The Bridge there will be hooks like the thorns of AlSadan thorny plant. Have you seen AlSadan? They replied; Yes; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! He said; So those hooks look like the thorns of AlSadan; but none knows how big they are except Allah. Those hooks will snap the people away according to their deeds. Some of the people will stay in Hell be destroyed because of their evil deeds; and some will be cut or torn by the hooks and fall into Hell and some will be punished and then relieved. When Allah has finished His Judgments among the people; He will take whomever He will out of Hell through His Mercy. He will then order the angels to take out of the Fire all those who used to worship none but Allah from among those whom Allah wanted to be merciful to and those who testified in the world that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah. The angels will recognize them in the Fire by the marks of prostration on their foreheads ; for the Fire will eat up all the human body except the mark caused by prostration as Allah has forbidden the Fire to eat the mark of prostration. They will come out of the Hell Fire; completely burnt and then the water of life will be poured over them and they will grow under it as does a seed that comes in the mud of the torrent. Then Allah will finish the judgments among the people; and there will remain one man facing the Hell Fire and he will be the last person among the people of Hell to enter Paradise. He will say; O my Lord! Please turn my face away from the fire because its air has hurt me and its severe heat has burnt me. So he will invoke Allah in the way Allah will wish him to invoke; and then Allah will say to him; If I grant you that; will you then ask for anything else? He will reply; No; by Your Power; Honor I will not ask You for anything else. He will give his Lord whatever promises and covenants Allah will demand. So Allah will turn his face away from Hell Fire. When he will face Paradise and will see it; he will remain quiet for as long as Allah will wish him to remain quiet; then he will say; O my Lord! Bring me near to the gate of Paradise. Allah will say to him; Didnt you give your promises and covenants that you would never ask for anything more than what you had been given? Woe on you; O Adam son! How treacherous you are! He will say; O my lord; and will keep on invoking Allah till He says to him; If I give what you are asking; will you then ask for anything else? He will reply; No; by Your Honor Power; I will not ask for anything else. Then he will give covenants and promises to Allah and then Allah will bring him near to the gate of Paradise. When he stands at the gate of Paradise; Paradise will be opened and spread before him; and he will see its splendor and pleasures whereupon he will remain quiet as long as Allah will wish him to remain quiet; and then he will say; O my Lord! Admit me into Paradise. Allah will say; Didnt you give your covenants and promises that you would not ask for anything more than what you had been given? Allah will say; Woe on you; O Adam son! How treacherous you are! The man will say; O my Lord! Do not make me the most miserable of Your creation; and he will keep on invoking Allah till Allah will laugh because of his sayings; and when Allah will laugh because of him; He will say to him; Enter Paradise; and when he will enter it; Allah will say to him; Wish for anything. So he will ask his Lord; and he will wish for a great number of things; for Allah Himself will remind him to wish for certain things by saying; Wish for so-and-so. When there is nothing more to wish for; Allah will say; This is for you; and its equal is for you as well. Ata Bin Yazid added: Abu Saeed AlKhudri who was present with Abu Huraira; did not deny whatever the latter said; but when Abu Huraira said that Allah had said; That is for you and its equal as well; Abu Saeed AlKhudri said; And ten times as much; O Abu Huraira! Abu Huraira said; I do not remember; except his saying; That is for you and its equal as well. Abu Saeed AlKhudri then said; I testify that I remember the Prophet ﷺ saying; That is for you; and ten times as much. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1079Narrated Abu Bakra: The Prophet ﷺ said; Time has come back to its original state which it had when Allah created the Heavens and the Earth; the year is twelve months; of which four are sacred; and out of these four three are in succession; namely; Dh AlQada; Dhu AlHijja and Muharram; and the fourth one Rajab Mudar which is between Jumad Ath-Tham and Shaban. The Prophet ﷺ then asked us; Which month is this? We said; Allah and His Apostle know it better. He kept quiet so long that we thought he might call it by another name. Then he said; Isnt it Dhu AlHijja? We said; Yes. He asked What town is this? We said; Allah and His Apostle know it better. Then he kept quiet so long that we thought he might call it by another name. He then said; Isnt it the forbidden town Mecca ? We said; Yes. He asked; What is the day today? We said; Allah and His Apostle know it better. Then he kept quiet so long that we thought that he might call it by another name. Then he said; Isnt it the Day of AlNahr slaughtering of sacrifices ? We said; Yes. Then he said; Your blood lives ; your properties; the sub narrator Muhammad; said: I think he also said :..and your honor are as sacred to one another like the sanctity of this Day of yours; in this town of yours; in this month of yours. You shall meet your Lord and He will ask you about your deeds. Beware! Dont go astray after me by striking the necks of one another. Lo! It is incumbent upon those who are present to inform it to those who are absent for perhaps the informed one might comprehend it understand it better than some of the present audience. Whenever the sub-narrator Muhammad mentioned that statement; he would say; The Prophet ﷺ said the truth. And then the Prophet ﷺ added; No doubt! Havent I conveyed Allah Message to you! No doubt! SahihAlBukhari-017-001-2656Narrated Abdulrahman Bin Abu Bakr: Abu Bakr invited a group of people and told me; Look after your guests. Abu Bakr added; I am going to visit the Prophet ﷺ and you should finish serving them before I return. Abdulrahman said; So I went at once and served them with what was available at that time in the house and requested them to eat. They said; Where is the owner of the house i.e.; Abu Bakr ? Abdulrahman said; Take your meal. They said; We will not eat till the owner of the house comes. Abdulrahman said; Accept your meal from us; for if my father comes and finds you not having taken your meal yet; we will be blamed severely by him; but they refused to take their meals. So I was sure that my father would be angry with me. When he came; I went away to hide myself from him. He asked; What have you done about the guests ? They informed him the whole story. Abu Bakr called; O Abdulrahman I kept quiet. He then called again. O Abdulrahman I kept quiet and he called again; O ignorant boy ! I beseech you by Allah; if you hear my voice; then come out! I came out and said; Please ask your guests and do not be angry with me. They said; He has told the truth; he brought the meal to us. He said; As you have been waiting for me; by Allah; I will not eat of it tonight. They said; By Allah; we will not eat of it till you eat of it. He said; I have never seen a night like this night in evil. What is wrong with you? Why dont you accept your meals of hospitality from us? He said to me ; Bring your meal. I brought it to him; and he put his hand in it; saying; In the name of Allah. The first state of fury was because of Satan. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-3285Narrated Usaid Bin Hudair: That while he was reciting Surat AlBaqara The Cow at night; and his horse was tied beside him; the horse was suddenly startled and troubled. When he stopped reciting; the horse became quiet; and when he started again; the horse was startled again. Then he stopped reciting and the horse became quiet too. He started reciting again and the horse was startled and troubled once again. Then he stopped reciting and his son; Yahya was beside the horse. He was afraid that the horse might trample on him. When he took the boy away and looked towards the sky; he could not see it. The next morning he informed the Prophet who said; Recite; O Ibn Hudair! Recite; O Ibn Hudair! Ibn Hudair replied; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! My son; Yahya was near the horse and I was afraid that it might trample on him; so I looked towards the sky; and went to him. When I looked at the sky; I saw something like a cloud containing what looked like lamps; so I went out in order not to see it. The Prophet ﷺ said; Do you know what that was? SahihAlBukhari-017-001-5978Narrated Saad bin Abi Waqqas : Allah Messenger ﷺ distributed something from the resources of Zakat amongst a group of people while I was sitting amongst them; but he left a man whom I considered the best of the lot. He said; So your blood; your properties; The sub-narrator Muhammad said; I think the Prophet ﷺ also said: And your honor.. are sacred to one another like the sanctity of this day of yours; in this city of yours; in this month of yours; and surely; you will meet your Lord; and He will ask you about your deeds. Beware! Do not become infidels after me; cutting the throats of one another. It is incumbent on those who are present to convey this message of mine to those who are absent. May be that some of those to whom it will be conveyed will understand it better than those who have actually heard it. The sub-narrator; Muhammad; on remembering that narration; used to say; Muhammad spoke the truth! He i.e. Prophet then added twice; No doubt! SahihMuslim-017-001-20699Aisha; the wife of Allah Apostle ﷺ ; said: The wives of Allah Apostle ﷺ sent Fatima; the daughter of Allah Messenger ﷺ ; to Allah Apostle ﷺ. She sought permission to get in as he had been lying with me in my mantle. He gave her permission and she said: Allah Messenger; verily; your wives have sent me to you in order to ask you to observe equity in case of the daughter of Abu Quhafa. She Aisha said: I kept quiet. Thereupon Allah Messenger ﷺ said to her Fatima : O daughter; dont you love whom I love? She said: Yes; I do. Thereupon he said: I love this one. Fatima then stood up as she heard this from Allah Messenger ﷺ and went to the wives of Allah Apostle ﷺ and informed them of what she had said to him and what Allah messenger ﷺ had said to her. Thereupon they said to her: We think that you have been of no avail to us. You may again go to Allah Messenger ﷺ and tell him that his wives seek equity in case of the daughter of Abu Quhafa. Fatima said: By Allah; I will never talk to him about this matter. Aisha further reported: The wives of Allah Apostle ﷺ then sent Zainab Bin Jahsh; the wife of Allah Apostle ﷺ ; and she was one who was somewhat equal in rank with me in the eyes of Allah Messenger ﷺ and I have never seen a woman more advanced in religious piety than Zainab; more God-conscious; more truthful; more alive to the ties of blood; more generous and having more sense of self-sacrifice in practical life and having more charitable disposition and thus more close to God; the Exalted; than her. She; however; lost temper very soon but was soon calm. Allah Messenger ﷺ permitted her to enter as she Aisha was along with Allah Messenger ﷺ in her mantle; in the same very state when Fatima had entered. She said: Allah Messenger; your wives have sent me to you seeking equity in case of the daughter of Abu Quhafa. She then came to me and showed harshness to me and I was seeing the eyes of Allah Messenger ﷺ whether he would permit me. Zainab went on until I came to know that Allah Messenger ﷺ would not disapprove if I retorted. Then I exchanged hot words until I made her quiet. SahihMuslim-017-001-21198Saeed b Jubair reported: I was asked about the invokers of curses during the reign of mousab Bin AlZubair whether they could separate themselves by this process. He said: I did not understand what to say. So I went to the house of Ibn Umar Allah be pleased with them in Mecca. I said to his servant: Seek permission for Me. He said that he Ibn Umar had been taking rest. He Ibn Umar heard my voice. and said: Are you Ibn Jubair? I said: Yes. Hesaid: Come in. By Allah; it must be some great need which has brought you here at this Hour. So I got in and found him lying on a blanket reclining against a pillow stuffed with fibres of date-palm. I said: O AbuAbd AlRahman; should there be separation between the invokers of curses? He said: Hallowed be Allah; yes; The first one who asked about it was so and so. he said: Messenger of Allah; tell me If one of us finds his wife committing adultery: what should he do? If he talks; that is something great; and if he keeps quiet that is also something great which he cannot afford to do. Allah Prophet ﷺ kept quiet or some time. After some time he that very person came to him Allah Messenger and said: I have been involved in that very cage about which I had asked you Allah the Exalted and Majestic then revealed these verses of Surah Nur: Those who accuse their wives verse 6 ; and he the Holy Prophet recited them to him and admonished him; and exhorted him and informed him that the torment of the world is less painful than the torment of the Hereafter. He said: No; by Him Who sent you with Truth; I did not tell a lie against her. He the Holy Prophet then called her the wife of that person who had accused her and admonished her; and exhorted her; and informed her that the torment of this world is less painful than the torment of the Hereafter. She said: No; by Him Who sent thee with Truth; he is a liar. it was the man who started the swearing of oath and he swore in the name of Allah four times that he was among the truthful. and at the fifth turn he said: Let there be curse of Allah upon him if he were among the liars. Then the woman was called and she swore four times in the name of Allah that he her husband was among the liars; and at the fifth time she said : Let there be curse upon her if he were among the truthful. SahihMuslim-017-001-21207Abdullah reported: We were on the night of Friday staying in the Masjid when a person from the Ansar came there and said: If a person finds hiswoman along with a man; and he speaks about it; you would lash him; and if he kills; you will kill him; and if he keeps quiet he shall have to consume anger. By Allah; I will definitely ask about him from Allah Mescenger ﷺ. On the following day he came to Allah Messenger ﷺ and asked him thus: If a man were to find with his wife a man and if he were to talk about it; you would lash him; and if he killed; you would kill him; and if he were to keep quiet. he would consume anger; whereupon he the Holy Prophet said: Allah; solve this problem ; and he began to supplicate before Him ; and then the verses pertaining to lian were revealed: Those who accuse their wives and have no witnesses except themselves xxiv. 6. The person was then put to test according to these verses in the presence of the people. There came he and his wife in the presence of Allah Messenger ﷺ ; and they invoked curses in order to testify their claim. The man swore four times in the name of Allah that he was one of the truthful and then invoked curse for the fifth time saying: Let there be curse of Allah upon him if he were among the liars. Then she began to invoke curse. Allah Messenger ﷺ said to her: just wait and curse after considering over it ; but she refused and invoked curse and when she turned away; he Allah Apostle said: It seems that this woman shall give birth to a curly-haired black child; And so she did gave birth to a curly-haired black child.The Chapter on Gifts And Mothers in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 1 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-22069Saad reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ bestowed some gifts upon a group of people and I was sitting amongst them. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; however; left a person and he did not give him anything. and he seemed to me the most excellent among them and thus deserved the gifts more than anyone else. So I stood up before the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said to him in undertone: Messenger of Allah; what about so and so? By Allah; I find him a believer. He the Messenger of Allah said: He may be a Muslim. I kept quiet for a short while; and then what I knew of him urged me to plead his case again and I said: Messenger of Allah; what about so and so? By Allah; I find him a believer. Upon this he the Holy Prophet said: He may be a Muslim. I again remained quiet for a short while; and what I knew of him again urged me to plead his case so I said: Messenger of Allah; what about so and so? By Allah; I find him a believer. Upon this he the Holy Prophet said: He may be a Muslim. I often bestow something upon a person; whereas someone else is dearer to me than he; because of the fear that he may fall headlong into the fire. SunanAlNasai-017-001-14973Abd AlMalik Bin Abi Sulaiman said: I heard Saeed Bin Jubair say: I was asked about the two who engage in Lian during the governorship of Ibn AlZubair - should they be separated? I did not know what to say; so I got up and went to the house of Ibn Umar and said: O Abu Abdulrahman should the two who engage in Lian be separated? He said: Yes; Subhan Allah! The first one who asked about that was so-and-so the son of so-and-so who said: O Messenger of Allah; what do you think if a man among us sees his wife committing immoral actions; and if he speaks of it; he will be speaking of a grave matter; but if he keeps quiet; he will be keeping quiet about a grave matter? Then he turned to the woman and she bore witness four times by Allah that he was lying; and the fifth time she invoked the wrath of Allah upon herself if he was telling the truth. He said O people preserve a quiet demeanor for piety does not consist in exciting the Horses and the Camels i.e.; in driving them quickly. He Ibn Abbas said Thereafter I did not see them raising their hands running quickly till he came to AlMuzdalifah. The narrator Wahb added He took AlFadl Bin Abbas up behind him on the Camel and said O people piety does not consist in exciting the Horses and the Camels i.e.; in driving them quickly ; you must preserve a quiet demeanor.
