SahihAlBukhari-017-001-3252 | Narrated Safwan Bin Yala Bin Umaiya: Yala used to say; I wish I could see Allah Messenger ﷺ at the time he is being inspired Divinely. When the Prophet ﷺ was at AlJarana and was shaded by a garment hanging over him and some of his companions were with him; a man perfumed with scent came and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! What is your opinion regarding a man who assumes Ihram and puts on a cloak after perfuming his body with scent? The Prophet ﷺ waited for a while; and then the Divine Inspiration descended upon him. Umar pointed out to Yala; telling him to come. Yala came and pushed his head underneath the screen which was covering the Prophet ﷺ and behold! The Prophet face was red and he kept on breathing heavily for a while and then he was relieved. Thereupon he said; Where is the questioner who asked me about Umra a while ago? SahihAlBukhari-017-001-3642 | Narrated Saad father: When the emigrants reached Medina. Allah Messenger ﷺ established the bond of fraternity between Abdulrahman and Saad Bin AlRabi. Saad said to Abdulrahman I am the richest of all the Ansar; so I want to divide my property between us ; and I have two wives; so see which of the two you like and tell me; so that I may divorce her; and when she finishes her prescribed period i.e. Idda of divorce; then marry her. Abdulrahman said; May Allah bless your family and property for you; where is your market? So they showed him the Qainuqa market. He went there and returned with a profit in the form of dried yogurt and butter. He continued going to the market till one day he came; bearing the traces of yellow scent. The Prophet ﷺ asked; What is this scent ? He replied; I got married. The Prophet ﷺ asked; How much Mahr did you give her? He replied; I gave her a datestone of gold or a gold piece equal to the weight of a date-stone. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-3643 | Narrated Anas: When Abdulrahman Bin Auf came to us; Allah Messenger ﷺ made a bond of fraternity between him and Saad Bin AlRabi who was a rich man; Saad said; The Ansar know that I am the richest of all of them; so I will divide my property into two parts between me and you; and I have two wives; see which of the two you like so that I may divorce her and you can marry her after she becomes lawful to you by her passing the prescribed period i.e. Idda of divorce. Abdulrahman said; May Allah bless you your family i.e. wives for you. But Abdulrahman went to the market and did not return on that day except with some gain of dried yogurt and butter. He went on trading just a few days till he came to Allah Messenger ﷺ bearing the traces of yellow scent over his clothes. Allah Messenger ﷺ asked him; What is this scent? He replied; I have married a woman from the Ansar. Allah Apostle asked; How much Mahr have you given? He said; A date-stone weight of gold or a golden date-stone. SahihMuslim-017-001-18128 | It has been narrated on the authority of Jabir that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Who will kill Kaab Bin Ashraf? He has maligned Allah; the Exalted; and His Messenger. Muhammad Bin Maslama said: Messenger of Allah; do you wish that I should kill him? He said: Yes. He said: Permit me to talk to him in the way I deem fit. He said: Talk as you like. So; Muhammad Bin Maslama came to Kaab and talked to him; referred to the old friendship between them and said: This man i. e. the Holy Prophet has made up his mind to collect charity from us and this has put us to a great hardship. When be heard this; Kaab said: By God; you will be put to more trouble by him. Muhammad Bin Maslama said: No doubt; now we have become his followers and we do not like to forsake him until we see what turn his affairs will take. I want that you should give me a loan. He said: What will you mortgage? He said: What do you want? He said: Pledge me your women. He said: You are the most handsome of the Arabs; should we pledge our women to you? He said: Pledge me your children. He said: The son of one of us may abuse us saying that he was pledged for two wasqs of dates; but we can pledge you cur weapons. He said: All right. Then Muhammad Bin Maslama promised that he would come to him with Harith; Abu Abs Bin Jabr and Abbad Bin Bishr. So they came and called upon him at night. He came down to them. Sufyan says that all the narrators except Amr have stated that his wife said: I hear a voice which sounds like the voice of murder. He said: It is only Muhammad Bin Maslama and his foster-brother; Abu Naila. When a gentleman is called at night even it to be pierced with a spear; he should respond to the call. Muhammad said to his companions: As he comes down; I will extend my hands towards his head and when I hold him fast; you should do your job. So when he came down and he was holding his cloak under his arm; they said to him: We sense from you a very fine smell. He said: Yes; I have with me a mistress who is the most scented of the women of Arabia. He said: Allow me to smell the scent on your head. He said: Yes; you may smell. So he caught it and smelt. Then he said: Allow me to do so once again. He then held his head fast and said to his companions: Do your job.
