SahihAlBukhari-017-001-232 | Narrated Jabir Bin Abdullah: On the day of the Battle of Uhud; my father was brought and he had been mutilated in battle and was placed in front of Allah Messenger ﷺ and a sheet was over him. I went intending to uncover my father but my people forbade me; again I wanted to uncover him but my people forbade me. Allah Messenger ﷺ gave his order and he was shifted away. At that time he heard the voice of a crying woman and asked; Who is this? They said; It is the daughter or the sister of Amr. He said; Why does she weep? or let her stop weeping ; for the angels had been shading him with their wings till he i.e. the body of the martyr was shifted away. | The Chapter on Funerals Martyrs And Alquran in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Funerals AlJanaaiz in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-4254 | Narrated Ibn Umar: Allah Messenger ﷺ said; Once three persons from the previous nations were traveling; and suddenly it started raining and they took shelter in a cave. The entrance of the cave got closed while they were inside. They said to each other; O you! Nothing can save you except the truth; so each of you should ask Allah Help by referring to such a deed as he thinks he did sincerely i.e. just for gaining Allah Pleasure. So one of them said; O Allah! You know that I had a laborer who worked for me for one Faraq i.e. three Sas of rice; but he departed; leaving it i.e. his wages. I sowed that Faraq of rice and with its yield I bought cows for him. Later on when he came to me asking for his wages; I said to him ; Go to those cows and drive them away. He said to me; But you have to pay me only a Faraq of rice; I said to him; Go to those cows and take them; for they are the product of that Faraq of rice. So he drove them. O Allah! If you consider that I did that for fear of You; then please remove the rock. The rock shifted a bit from the mouth of the cave. The second one said; O Allah; You know that I had old parents whom I used to provide with the milk of my sheep every night. One night I was delayed and when I came; they had slept; while my wife and children were crying with hunger. I used not to let them i.e. my family drink unless my parents had drunk first. So I disliked to wake them up and also disliked that they should sleep without drinking it; I kept on waiting for them to wake till it dawned. O Allah! If You consider that I did that for fear of you; then please remove the rock. So the rock shifted and they could see the sky through it. The third one said; O Allah! You know that I had a cousin i.e. my paternal uncle daughter who was most beloved to me and I sought to seduce her; but she refused; unless I paid her one-hundred Dinars i.e. gold pieces. So I collected the amount and brought it to her; and she allowed me to sleep with her. But when I sat between her legs; she said; Be afraid of Allah; and do not deflower me but legally. I got up and left the hundred Dinars for her. O Allah! If You consider that I did that for fear of you than please remove the rock. So Allah saved them and they came out of the cave. | The Chapter on Rain And Clouds And Mountains in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The tale of the Cave in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-5014 | Narrated Abdullah Bin Umar: I heard Allah Messenger ﷺ saying; Three men from among those who were before you; set out together till they reached a cave at night and entered it. A big rock rolled down the mountain and closed the mouth of the cave. They said to each other ; Nothing could save you from this rock but to invoke Allah by giving reference to the righteous deed which you have done for Allah sake only. So; one of them said; O Allah! I had old parents and I never provided my family wife; children etc. with milk before them. One day; by chance I was delayed; and I came late at night while they had slept. I milked the sheep for them and took the milk to them; but I found them sleeping. I disliked to provide my family with the milk before them. I waited for them and the bowl of milk was in my hand and I kept on waiting for them to get up till the day dawned. Then they got up and drank the milk. O Allah! If I did that for Your Sake only; please relieve us from our critical situation caused by this rock. So; the rock shifted a little but they could not get out. The Prophet ﷺ added; The second man said; O Allah! I had a cousin who was the dearest of all people to me and I wanted to have sexual relations with her but she refused. Later she had a hard time in a famine year and she came to me and I gave her one-hundred-and-twenty Dinars on the condition that she would not resist my desire; and she agreed. When I was about to fulfill my desire; she said: It is illegal for you to outrage my chastity except by legitimate marriage. So; I thought it a sin to have sexual intercourse with her and left her though she was the dearest of all the people to me; and also I left the gold I had given her. O Allah! If I did that for Your Sake only; please relieve us from the present calamity. So; the rock shifted a little more but still they could not get out from there. The Prophet ﷺ added; Then the third man said; O Allah! I employed few laborers and I paid them their wages with the exception of one man who did not take his wages and went away. I invested his wages and I got much property thereby. Then after some time he came and said to me: O Allah slave! Pay me my wages. I said to him: All the camels; cows; sheep and slaves you see; are yours. He said: O Allah slave! Dont mock at me. I said: I am not mocking at you. So; he took all the herd and drove them away and left nothing. O Allah! If I did that for Your Sake only; please relieve us from the present suffering. So; that rock shifted completely and they got out walking. | The Chapter on Fasting And Drinks in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The labourer left the wages and went away in Sahih AlBukhari |

SahihMuslim-017-001-19253 | Amir Bin Sharahil Shabi Shab Hamdan reported that he asked Fatima; daughter of Qais and sister of AlDahhak Bin Qais and she was the first amongst the emigrant women: Narrate to me a hadith which you had heard directly from Allah Messenger ﷺ and there is no extra link in between them. She said: Very well; if you like; I am prepared to do that; and he said to her: Well; do It and narrate that to me. She said: I married the son of Mughira and he was a chosen young man of Quraish at that time; but he fell as a martyr in the first Jihad fighting on the side of Allah Messenger ﷺ. When I became a widow; Abdulrahman Bin Auf; one amongst the group of the Companions of Allah Messenger ﷺ ; sent me the proposal of marriage. Allah Messenger ﷺ also sent me such a message for his freed slave Usama Bin Zaid. And it had been conveyed to me that Allah Messenger ﷺ had said about Usama : He who loves me should also love Usama. When Allah Messenger ﷺ talked to me about this matter ; I said: My affairs are in your hand. You may marry me to anyone whom you like. He said: You better shift now to the house of Umm Sharik; and Umm Sharik was a rich lady from amongst the Ansar. She spent generously for the cause of Allah and entertained guests very hospitably. I said: Well; I will do as you like. He said: Do not do that for Umm Sharik is a woman who is very frequently visited by guests and I do not like that your head may be uncovered or the cloth may be removed from your shank and the strangers may catch sight of them which you abhor. You better shift to the house of your cousin Abdullah Bin Amr Bin Umm Maktum and he is a person of the Bani Fihr branch of the Quraish; and he belonged to that tribe to which Fatima belonged. So I shifted to that house; and when my period of waiting was over; I heard the voice of an announcer making an announcement that the prayer would be observed in the Masjid where congregational prayer is observed. So I set out towards that Masjid and observed prayer along with Allah Messenger ﷺ and I was in the row of the women which was near the row of men. When Allah Messenger ﷺ had finished his prayer; he sat on the pulpit smiling and said: Every worshipper should keep sitting at his place. He then said: Do you know why I had asked you to assemble? They said: Allah and His Messenger know best. He said: By Allah. I have not made you assemble for exhortation or for a warning; but I have detained you here; for Tamim Dari; a Christian; who came and accepted Islam; told me something; which agrees with what I was telling; you about the Dajjal. He narrated to me that he had sailed in a ship along with thirty men of Bani Lakhm and Bani Judham and had been tossed by waves in the ocean for a month. Then these waves took them near the land within the ocean island at the time of sunset. They sat in a small side-boat and entered that island. There was a beast with long thick hair and because of these they could not distinguish his face from his back. They said: Woe to you; who can you be? Thereupon it said: I am AlJassasa. They said: What is AlJassasa? And it said: O people; go to this person in the monastery as he is very much eager to know about you. He the narrator said: When it named a person for us we were afraid of it lest it should be a devil. Then we hurriedly went on till we came to that monastery and found a well-built person there with his hands tied to his neck and having iron shackles between his two legs up to the ankles. We said: Woe be upon thee; who are you? And he said: You would soon come to know about me. but tell me who are you. We said: We are people from Arabia and we embarked upon a boat but the sea-waves had been driving us for one month and they brought as near this island. We got Into the side-boats and entered this island and here a beast met us with profusely thick hair and because of the thickness of his hair his face could not be distinguished from his back. We said: Woe be to thee; who are you? It said: I am AlJassasa. We said: What is AlJassasa? And it said: You go to this very person in the monastery for he is eagerly waiting for you to know about you. So we came to you in hot haste fearing that that might be the Devil. He that chained person said: Tell me about the date-palm trees of Baisan. We said: About what aspect of theirs do you seek information? He said: I ask you whether these trees bear fruit or not. We said: yes. Thereupon he said: I think these would not bear fruits. He said: Inform me about the lake of Tabariya? We said: Which aspect of it do you want to know? He said: Is there water in it? They said: There is abundance of water in it. Thereupon he said: I think it would soon become dry. He again said: Inform me about the spring of Zughar. They said: Which aspect of it you want to know? He the chained person said: Is there water in it and does it irrigate the land ? We said to him: Yes; there is abundance of water in it and the inhabitants of Medina irrigate land with the help of it; He said: Inform me about the unlettered Prophet; what has he done? We said: He has come out from Mecca and has settled In Yathrib Medina. He said: Do the Arabs fight against him? We said: Yes. He said: How did he deal with them? We informed him that he had overcome those in his neighbourhood and they had submitted themselves before him. Thereupon he said to us: Has it actually happened? We said: Yes. Thereupon he said: If it is so that is better for them that they should show obedience to him. I am going to tell you about myself and I am Dajjal and would be soon permitted to get out and so I shall get out and travel in the land; and will not spare any town where I would not stay for forty nights except Mecca and Medina as these two places are prohibited areas for me and I would not make an attempt to enter any one of these two. An angel with a sword in his hand would confront me and would bar my way and there would be angels to guard every passage leading to it; then Allah Messenger ﷺ striking the pulpit with the help of the end of his staff said: This implies Taiba meaning Medina. Have I not; told you an account of the Dajjal like this? The people said: Yes; and this account narrated by Tamim Dari was liked by me for it corroborates the account which I gave to you in regard to him Dajjal at Medina and Mecca. Behold he Dajjal is in the Syrian sea Mediterranean or the Yemen sea Arabian sea. Nay; on the contrary; he is in the east; he is in the east; he is in the east; and he pointed with his hand towards the east. I Fatima bint Qais said: I preserved it in my mind this narration from Allah Messenger ﷺ. | The Chapter on Moses And Prophets And Aldajjal in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 24 in Sahih Muslim

One night; Abu Ayoub Ansari got up and said to himself : How unfortunate it is that we walk above the head of Allah Messenger ﷺ ; so they went Aasi de and spent the night in a nook and then told Allah Apostle ﷺ about it whereupon Allah Apostle ﷺ said: The lower storey is more comfortable for me. but he Abu Ayoub Ansari said: We would not live over the roof under which you live. So Allah Messenger ﷺ shifted to the upper storey; whereas Abu Ayoub Ansari shifted to the lower storey; and he Abu Ayoub Ansari used to prepare food for Allah Apostle ﷺ ; and when it was brought back to him he asked to locate the part; where his fingers had touched the food ; and he followed his fingers on that part where his fingers those of the Holy Prophet had touched it. One day he prepared food which contained garlic; and when it was returned to him he asked to locate the part which the fingers of Allah Apostle ﷺ had touched. It was said to him that he had not eaten the food. He Abd Ayoub Ansari was distressed and went up to him to the Holy Prophet and said: Is it forbidden? But Allah Messenger ﷺ said: No; it is not forbidden ; but I do not like it. and he Abu Ayoub Ansari said: I also do not like what you do not like or which you did not like. He Abu Ayoub Ansari said: The Prophet did not eat garlic as Allah Apostle ﷺ was visited by angels and brought him the message of Allah. | The Chapter on Slaves And Charity in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 31 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-24508 | Jabir Bin Abdullah reported: There were some plots vacant around the Masjid. Banu Salama decided to shift to this land and come near the Masjid. This news reached the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he said to them Banu Salama : I have received information that you intend to shift near the Masjid. They said: Yes; Messenger of Allah; we have taken this decision. Upon this he the Holy Prophet said: O Banu Salama; live in your houses; for your steps are recorded; live in your houses; for your steps are recorded. | The Chapter on Leave in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 50 in Sahih Muslim

SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-25129 | Ubaid Allah said Marwan sent someone Qabisah to Fatimah and asked her about the case. She said that she was the wife of Abu Hafs. The Prophet ﷺ appointed Ali as governor in a certain part of Yemen. Her husband also proceeded with him. From there he sent a message to her pronouncing one divorce that had yet remained. He commanded Ayash Bin Abi Rabiah and AlHarith Bin Hisham to provide maintenance to her. They said By Allah there is no sustenance for her except in case she is pregnant. She came to the Prophet ﷺ who said There is no sustenance for you except in case you are pregnant. She then asked permission to shift from her house and he gave her permission. She asked Where should I shift. Apostle of Allaah ﷺ ? The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ said to Ibn Umm Maktum. He was blind. She would undress herself and he could not see her. Marwan said We did not hear this tradition except from a woman; so we shall follow the reliable practice on which we found the people. When this reached Fatimah she said between me and you is the Book of Allah. Allaah the exalted said Divorce them for their waiting period... Thou knowest not it may be that Allaah will afterward bring some new thing to pass. She said What a new thing will emerge after triple divorce.Abu Dawud said A similar tradition has been narrated by Yunus on the authority of AlZuhri. As for AlZubaidi he narrated both traditions; the tradition of Ubaid Allah in the version of Mamar and the tradition of Abu Salamah in the version of Aqil.Abu Dawud said Muhammad Bin Ishaq narrated on the authority of AlZuhri that Qabisah Bin Dhuwaib transmitted to him the version which was narrated by Ubaid Allah Bin Abd Allaah which has Qabisah then returned to Marwan and informed him about that. | The Chapter on Marriage And Iddah in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Regarding The Maintenance Of One Who Has Been Irrevocably Divorced in Sunan Abu Dawoud
