He said: Your father is Hudhafa. Then Umar Bin AlKhattab Allah be pleased with him dared say something and said: We are well pleased with Allah as our Lord; with Islam as our code of life and with Muhammad as our Messenger; seeking refuge with Allah from the evil of Turmoil. Thereupon Allah Messenger ﷺ said: Never did I see the good and evil as today. Paradise and Hell were given a visible shape before me in this worldly life and I saw both of them near this well.

She served him the evening meal and he took it. He then came to her and had sexual intercourse with her and when it was all over she said: Make arrangements for the burial of the child. When it was morning. Abu Talha came to Allah Messenger ﷺ and informed him; whereupon he said: Did you spend the night with her. He said: Yes. He the Holy Prophet then said: O Allah; bless both of them and as a result of blessing she gave birth to a child. Abu Talha said to me Anas Bin Malik to take the child; so I took him and came to Allah Messenger ﷺ. She Umm Sulaim also had sent some dates along with the child. Allah Apostle ﷺ took him the child in his lap and said: Is there anything with you for Tahnik. They the Companions said: Yes. Allah Apostle ﷺ took hold of them dates and chewed them. He then put them the chewed dates in the mouth of the child and then rubbed his palate and gave him the name of Abdullah.

May you not advance in years! That slave-girl returned to Umm Sulaim weeping. Umm Sulaim said: O daughter; what is the matter with you? She said: Allah Apostle ﷺ has invoked curse upon me that I should not grow in age and thus I would never grow in age; or she said; in my length of life. Umm Sulaim went out wrapping her head-dress hurriedly until she met Allah Messenger ﷺ. He said to her: Umm Sulaim; what is the matter with you? She said: Allah Apostle; you invoked curse upon my orphan girl. He said: Umm Sulaim; what is that? She said: She the orphan girl states you have cursed her saying that she might not grow in age or grow in life. Allah Messenger ﷺ smiled and then said: Umm Sulaim; dont you know that I have made this term with my Lord. And the term with my Lord is that I said to Him: 1 am a human being and I am pleased just as a human being is pleased and I lose temper just as a human being loses temper; so for any person from amongst my Ummah whom I curse and he in no way deserves it; let that; O Lord; be made a source of purification and purity and nearness to Allah on the Day of Resurrection.

Abu Bakr greeted the Prophet ﷺ and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! There was something i.e. quarrel between me and the Son of AlKhattab. I talked to him harshly and then regretted that; and requested him to forgive me; but he refused. This is why I have come to you. The Prophet ﷺ said thrice; O Abu Bakr! May Allah forgive you. In the meanwhile; Umar regretted his refusal of Abu Bakr excuse and went to Abu Bakr house and asked if Abu Bakr was there. They replied in the negative. So he came to the Prophet ﷺ and greeted him; but signs of displeasure appeared on the face of the Prophet ﷺ till Abu Bakr pitied Umar ; so he knelt and said twice; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! By Allah! I was more unjust to him than he to me. The Prophet ﷺ said; Allah sent me as a Prophet to you people but you said to me ; You are telling a lie; while Abu Bakr said; He has said the truth; and consoled me with himself and his money. He then said twice; Wont you then give up harming my companion? After that nobody harmed Abu Bakr.

The next Friday Umar Bin AlKhattab recited the same Surat and when he reached the verse of AlSajda he said; O people! When we recite the verses of AlSajda during the sermon whoever prostrates does the right thing; yet it is no sin for the one who does not prostrate. And Umar did not prostrate that day. Added Ibn Umar Allah has not made the prostration of recitation compulsory but if we wish we can do it.

He said: How many pronouncements of divorce have been made for you? I said: Three. He said what he Ayish Bin Abu Rabia had stated was true. There is no maintenance allowance for you. Spend Idda period in the house of your cousin; Ibn Umm Maktum. He is blind and you can put off your garment in his presence. And when you have spent your Idda period; you inform me. She said: Muawiya and Ab AlJahm Allah be pleased with them were among those who had given me the proposal of marriage. Thereupon Allah Apostle ﷺ said: Muawiya is destitute and in poor condition and Ab AlJahm is very harsh with women or he beats women; or like that ; you should take Usama Bin Zaid as your husband.

Thereupon Umar said: I do not mean that turmoil on a small scale but that one which would emerge like the mounting waves of the ocean. I said: Commander of the Faithful; you have nothing to do with it; for the door is closed between you and that. He said: Would that door be broken or opened? I said: No; it would be broken. Thereupon he said: Then it would not be closed despite best efforts. We said to Hudhaifa: Did Umar know the door? Thereupon he said: Yes; he knew it for certain just as one knows that night precedes the next day. And I narrated to him something in which there was nothing fabricated. Shaqiq one of the narrators said: We dared not ask Hudhaifa about that door. So we requested Masruq to ask him. So he asked him and he said: By that door; he meant Umar.

    Shubah narrated from Mansur who said: I heard Mujahid narrating from Abu Ayash AlZuraqi- Shubah said: He had written it for me; and I read it before him; and I heard him narrating it; rather; I even memorized it. Ibn Bashshar said: I memorized it from the book- The Prophet ﷺ was drawing up ranks facing the enemy in Usfan when the idolaters were led by Khalid Bin AlWalid. The Prophet ﷺ led them in praying Zuhr. The idolaters said: They have a prayer after this that is dearer to them than their wealth and sons. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ led them in praying Asr. He divided them into two rows; behind him. He led them all in bowing; then when they raised their heads he led the row that was closest to him in prostrating; while the others remained standing. When they raised their heads from prostration; the second row prostrated; as they had already bowed with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Then the front row moved forward; so each of them took the place of his companion. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ led them all in bowing; then when they raised their heads from bowing; the row that was closest to him prostrated while the others remained standing; then when they had finished prostrating; the others prostrated; then the Prophet ﷺ said the taslim for all of them together.
