He Abu Masa said: Come on; for I saw Allah Messenger ﷺ eating it fowl meat ; whereupon that person said: I saw it eating something of filth and rubbish and I found it repugnant and took an oath that I would never eat that. He Abu Muds said: Come; so that I would narrate to you about that the incident pertaining to vow. And he narrated thus : I came to Allah Messenger ﷺ along with a group of people belonging to the tribe of Ashari; asking him to provide us with riding camels. He the Holy Prophet said: By Allah; I cannot provide you with riding animals. And there is nothing with me with which I can provide you a mount. We stayed for some time there as Allah willed; and there was brought to Allah Messenger ﷺ booty of camels. He called us and commanded that we should be given five white humped camels. As we were about to go back; some of us said to the other: As we made Allah Messenger ﷺ forget oath; there would be no blessing for us in his gift. We went back to him and said: Allah Messenger; we came to you to provide us with riding animals and you took an oath that you would never equip us with mounts and then you have provided us with the riding beasts Allah Messenger; have you forgotten? Thereupon he said: I swear by Allah that if Allah so wills; I shall not swear an oath; and then consider something else to be better than it without making atonement for my oath and doing the thing that is better. So you go; Allah; the Exalted and Glorious; has given you riding animals.

Abu Bakr greeted the Prophet ﷺ and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! There was something i.e. quarrel between me and the Son of AlKhattab. I talked to him harshly and then regretted that; and requested him to forgive me; but he refused. This is why I have come to you. The Prophet ﷺ said thrice; O Abu Bakr! May Allah forgive you. In the meanwhile; Umar regretted his refusal of Abu Bakr excuse and went to Abu Bakr house and asked if Abu Bakr was there. They replied in the negative. So he came to the Prophet ﷺ and greeted him; but signs of displeasure appeared on the face of the Prophet ﷺ till Abu Bakr pitied Umar ; so he knelt and said twice; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! By Allah! I was more unjust to him than he to me. The Prophet ﷺ said; Allah sent me as a Prophet to you people but you said to me ; You are telling a lie; while Abu Bakr said; He has said the truth; and consoled me with himself and his money. He then said twice; Wont you then give up harming my companion? After that nobody harmed Abu Bakr.

    Narrated Rabia: Umar Bin AlKhattab recited Surat AlNahl on a Friday on the pulpit and when he reached the verse of AlSajda he got down from the pulpit and prostrated and the people also prostrated. The next Friday Umar Bin AlKhattab recited the same Surat and when he reached the verse of AlSajda he said; O people! When we recite the verses of AlSajda during the sermon whoever prostrates does the right thing; yet it is no sin for the one who does not prostrate. And Umar did not prostrate that day. Added Ibn Umar Allah has not made the prostration of recitation compulsory but if we wish we can do it.

He said: How many pronouncements of divorce have been made for you? I said: Three. He said what he Ayish Bin Abu Rabia had stated was true. There is no maintenance allowance for you. Spend Idda period in the house of your cousin; Ibn Umm Maktum. He is blind and you can put off your garment in his presence. And when you have spent your Idda period; you inform me. She said: Muawiya and Ab AlJahm Allah be pleased with them were among those who had given me the proposal of marriage. Thereupon Allah Apostle ﷺ said: Muawiya is destitute and in poor condition and Ab AlJahm is very harsh with women or he beats women; or like that ; you should take Usama Bin Zaid as your husband.

I said: Commander of the Faithful; you have nothing to do with it; for the door is closed between you and that. He said: Would that door be broken or opened? I said: No; it would be broken. Thereupon he said: Then it would not be closed despite best efforts. We said to Hudhaifa: Did Umar know the door? Thereupon he said: Yes; he knew it for certain just as one knows that night precedes the next day. And I narrated to him something in which there was nothing fabricated. Shaqiq one of the narrators said: We dared not ask Hudhaifa about that door. So we requested Masruq to ask him. So he asked him and he said: By that door; he meant Umar.

Ibn Bashshar said: I memorized it from the book- The Prophet ﷺ was drawing up ranks facing the enemy in Usfan when the idolaters were led by Khalid Bin AlWalid. The Prophet ﷺ led them in praying Zuhr. The idolaters said: They have a prayer after this that is dearer to them than their wealth and sons. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ led them in praying Asr. He divided them into two rows; behind him. He led them all in bowing; then when they raised their heads he led the row that was closest to him in prostrating; while the others remained standing. When they raised their heads from prostration; the second row prostrated; as they had already bowed with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Then the front row moved forward; so each of them took the place of his companion. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ led them all in bowing; then when they raised their heads from bowing; the row that was closest to him prostrated while the others remained standing; then when they had finished prostrating; the others prostrated; then the Prophet ﷺ said the taslim for all of them together.
