Abu Huraira said: Cast lots for him; saying it to her in a foreign language. Then her husband came and asked: Who is disputing with me about my son? Abu Huraira said: O Allah; I do not say this; except that I heard a woman who came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while I was sitting with him; and she said: My husband wishes to take away my son; Messenger of Allah; and he draws water for me from the well of Abu Inabah; and he has been good to me. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Cast lots for him. Her husband said: Who is disputing with me about my son? The Prophet ﷺ said: This is your father and this your mother; so take whichever of them you wish by the hand. So he took his mother hand and she went away with him.

She said: On what ground do you say so? I said: Since Allah; the Exalted and Majestic; says: Verily AlSafa and AlMarwa are among the Signs of Allah. It your assertion were correct ; it would have been said like this: There is no harm for him; that he should not circumambulate between them. It this verse has been revealed about the people of Ansar. Whenever they pronounced the Talbiya; they pronounced it in the name of AlManat during the Days of Ignorance; so they thought that it was not permissible for them for the Muslims to circumambulate between and AlMarwa. When they the Muslims came with Allah Apostle may peace he upon him for Hajj; they mentioned it to him. So Allah; the Exalted and Majestic; revealed this verse. By my life; Allah will not complete the Hajj of one who has not circumambulated between AlSafa and AlMarwa.

    Hisham Bin Urwa reported on the authority of his father Allah be pleased with him that Arwa bint Uwais disputed with Saeed Bin Zaid that he had seized some of the land belonging to her. She brought this dispute before Marwan Bin AlHakam. Saeed said: How could I take a part of her land; after what I heard from Allah Messenger may peace be uponhim ? He Marwan said: What did you hear from Allah Messenger ﷺ ? He said: I heard Allah Messenger ﷺ say: He who wrongly took a span of land would be made to wear around his neck seven earths. Marwan said: I do not ask any evidence from you after this. He Said said: O Allah; make her blind if she has told a lie and kill her in her own land. He the narrator said: She did not die until she had lost her eyesight; and one day as she was walking in her land; she fell down into a pit and died.

Abu Bakr greeted the Prophet ﷺ and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! There was something i.e. quarrel between me and the Son of AlKhattab. I talked to him harshly and then regretted that; and requested him to forgive me; but he refused. This is why I have come to you. The Prophet ﷺ said thrice; O Abu Bakr! May Allah forgive you. In the meanwhile; Umar regretted his refusal of Abu Bakr excuse and went to Abu Bakr house and asked if Abu Bakr was there. They replied in the negative. So he came to the Prophet ﷺ and greeted him; but signs of displeasure appeared on the face of the Prophet ﷺ till Abu Bakr pitied Umar ; so he knelt and said twice; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! By Allah! I was more unjust to him than he to me. The Prophet ﷺ said; Allah sent me as a Prophet to you people but you said to me ; You are telling a lie; while Abu Bakr said; He has said the truth; and consoled me with himself and his money. He then said twice; Wont you then give up harming my companion? After that nobody harmed Abu Bakr.

    Narrated Rabia: Umar Bin AlKhattab recited Surat AlNahl on a Friday on the pulpit and when he reached the verse of AlSajda he got down from the pulpit and prostrated and the people also prostrated. The next Friday Umar Bin AlKhattab recited the same Surat and when he reached the verse of AlSajda he said; O people! When we recite the verses of AlSajda during the sermon whoever prostrates does the right thing; yet it is no sin for the one who does not prostrate. And Umar did not prostrate that day. Added Ibn Umar Allah has not made the prostration of recitation compulsory but if we wish we can do it.

Thereupon Umar said: I do not mean that turmoil on a small scale but that one which would emerge like the mounting waves of the ocean. I said: Commander of the Faithful; you have nothing to do with it; for the door is closed between you and that. He said: Would that door be broken or opened? I said: No; it would be broken. Thereupon he said: Then it would not be closed despite best efforts. We said to Hudhaifa: Did Umar know the door? Thereupon he said: Yes; he knew it for certain just as one knows that night precedes the next day. And I narrated to him something in which there was nothing fabricated. Shaqiq one of the narrators said: We dared not ask Hudhaifa about that door. So we requested Masruq to ask him. So he asked him and he said: By that door; he meant Umar.

Ibn Bashshar said: I memorized it from the book- The Prophet ﷺ was drawing up ranks facing the enemy in Usfan when the idolaters were led by Khalid Bin AlWalid. The Prophet ﷺ led them in praying Zuhr. The idolaters said: They have a prayer after this that is dearer to them than their wealth and sons. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ led them in praying Asr. He divided them into two rows; behind him. He led them all in bowing; then when they raised their heads he led the row that was closest to him in prostrating; while the others remained standing. When they raised their heads from prostration; the second row prostrated; as they had already bowed with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Then the front row moved forward; so each of them took the place of his companion.
