When we got down into the valley the slave of the Messenger of Allah stood up and began to unpack the saddle-bag and was suddenly struck by a stray arrow which proved fatal. We said: There is a greeting for him; Messenger of Allah; as he is a martyr. Upon this the Messenger of Allah ﷺ remarked: Nay; not so. By Him in Whose hand is the life of Muhammad; the small garment which he stole from the booty on the day of Khaibar but which did not legitimately fall to his lot is burning like the Fire of Hell on him. The people were greatly perturbed on hearing this. A person came there with a lace or two laces and said: Messenger of Allah; I found them on the day of Khaibar. He the Holy Prophet remarked: This is a lace of fire or two laces of fire.

He would say: What turned ye out from the Paradise was the sin of your father Adam. I am not in a position to do that; better go to my son Ibrahim; the Friend of Allah. He the Holy Prophet said: He Ibrahim would say: I am not in a position to do that. Verily I had been the Friend of Allah from beyond; beyond; you better approach Moses ﷺ with whom Allah conversed. They would come to Moses ﷺ ; but he would say: I am not in a position to do that; you better go to Jesus; the Word of Allah and His Spirit. Jesus ﷺ would say: I am not in a position to do that. So they would come to Muhammad ﷺ. He would then be permitted to open the door of Paradise. Trustworthiness and kinship would be despatched; and these would stand on the right and left of the Path and the first of you would pass with the swiftness of lightning. He the narrator said: I said; O thou who art far dearer to me than my father and my mother I which thing is like the passing of lightning? He said: Have you not seen lightning; how it passes and then comes back within the twinkling of an eye? Then they would pass like the passing of the wind; then like the passing of a bird; and the hastening of persons would be according to their deeds; and your Apostle would be standing on the Path saying: Save; O my Lord; save. The people would go on passing till the deeds of the servants would be failing in strength; till a man would come who would find it hard to go along that Path but crawlingly. He the narrator said: And on the sides of the Path hooks would be suspended ready to catch anyone whom these would be required to catch. There would be those who would somehow or other succeed in trasversing that Path and some would be piled up in Hell. By Him in Whose Hand is the life of Abu Huraira it would take one seventy years to fathom the depth of Hell.

Upon this the Messenger of Allah ﷺ remarked: He was doomed to the Fire of Hell. Some men were on the verge of doubt about his fate when it was said that he was not dead but fatally wounded. When it was night he could not stand the pain of his wound and killed himself. The Apostle ﷺ was informed of that. He the Holy Prophet observed: Allah is Great; I bear testimony to the fact that I am the servant of Allah and His messenger. He then commanded Bilal to announce to the people that none but a Muslim would enter Paradise. Verily Allah helps this faith even by a sinful person.

Abu Bakr greeted the Prophet ﷺ and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! There was something i.e. quarrel between me and the Son of AlKhattab. I talked to him harshly and then regretted that; and requested him to forgive me; but he refused. This is why I have come to you. The Prophet ﷺ said thrice; O Abu Bakr! May Allah forgive you. In the meanwhile; Umar regretted his refusal of Abu Bakr excuse and went to Abu Bakr house and asked if Abu Bakr was there. They replied in the negative. So he came to the Prophet ﷺ and greeted him; but signs of displeasure appeared on the face of the Prophet ﷺ till Abu Bakr pitied Umar ; so he knelt and said twice; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! By Allah! I was more unjust to him than he to me. The Prophet ﷺ said; Allah sent me as a Prophet to you people but you said to me ; You are telling a lie; while Abu Bakr said; He has said the truth; and consoled me with himself and his money. He then said twice; Wont you then give up harming my companion? After that nobody harmed Abu Bakr.

    Narrated Rabia: Umar Bin AlKhattab recited Surat AlNahl on a Friday on the pulpit and when he reached the verse of AlSajda he got down from the pulpit and prostrated and the people also prostrated. The next Friday Umar Bin AlKhattab recited the same Surat and when he reached the verse of AlSajda he said; O people! When we recite the verses of AlSajda during the sermon whoever prostrates does the right thing; yet it is no sin for the one who does not prostrate. And Umar did not prostrate that day. Added Ibn Umar Allah has not made the prostration of recitation compulsory but if we wish we can do it.

Ibn Bashshar said: I memorized it from the book- The Prophet ﷺ was drawing up ranks facing the enemy in Usfan when the idolaters were led by Khalid Bin AlWalid. The Prophet ﷺ led them in praying Zuhr. The idolaters said: They have a prayer after this that is dearer to them than their wealth and sons. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ led them in praying Asr. He divided them into two rows; behind him. He led them all in bowing; then when they raised their heads he led the row that was closest to him in prostrating; while the others remained standing. When they raised their heads from prostration; the second row prostrated; as they had already bowed with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Then the front row moved forward; so each of them took the place of his companion. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ led them all in bowing; then when they raised their heads from bowing; the row that was closest to him prostrated while the others remained standing; then when they had finished prostrating; the others prostrated; then the Prophet ﷺ said the taslim for all of them together.
