Then Rafi Bin Khadeej came to us and said: The Messenger of Allah forbade you to do something that may seem beneficial to you; but obedience to Allah and obedience to His Messenger are more beneficial for you. The Messenger of Allah forbade Haq for you; and he said: Whoever has no need of his land; let him give it to his brother to cultivate or let him leave it uncultivated.

We were weak and oppressed and humiliated; and when we went out to AlMadinah; the outcome of the battles between us varied; sometimes we would defeat them and sometimes they would defeat us. One night he was later than he usually was; and I said: O Messenger of Allah; you have come to us late tonight. He said: It occurred to me that I had not read my daily portion of Quran and I did not want to come out until I had completed it. Aws said: I asked the Companions of the Messenger of Allah : How did you used to divide up the Quran? They said: A third; a fifth; a seventh; a ninth; an eleventh; a thirteenth; and Hizb AlMufassal.

They ask you O; Muhammad concerning the Spirit; Say: The spirit; its knowledge is with my Lord; and of knowledge you mankind have been given only a Little. 17.85

Abu Bakr greeted the Prophet ﷺ and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! There was something i.e. quarrel between me and the Son of AlKhattab. I talked to him harshly and then regretted that; and requested him to forgive me; but he refused. This is why I have come to you. The Prophet ﷺ said thrice; O Abu Bakr! May Allah forgive you. In the meanwhile; Umar regretted his refusal of Abu Bakr excuse and went to Abu Bakr house and asked if Abu Bakr was there. They replied in the negative. So he came to the Prophet ﷺ and greeted him; but signs of displeasure appeared on the face of the Prophet ﷺ till Abu Bakr pitied Umar ; so he knelt and said twice; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! By Allah! I was more unjust to him than he to me. The Prophet ﷺ said; Allah sent me as a Prophet to you people but you said to me ; You are telling a lie; while Abu Bakr said; He has said the truth; and consoled me with himself and his money. He then said twice; Wont you then give up harming my companion? After that nobody harmed Abu Bakr.

    Narrated Rabia: Umar Bin AlKhattab recited Surat AlNahl on a Friday on the pulpit and when he reached the verse of AlSajda he got down from the pulpit and prostrated and the people also prostrated. The next Friday Umar Bin AlKhattab recited the same Surat and when he reached the verse of AlSajda he said; O people! When we recite the verses of AlSajda during the sermon whoever prostrates does the right thing; yet it is no sin for the one who does not prostrate. And Umar did not prostrate that day. Added Ibn Umar Allah has not made the prostration of recitation compulsory but if we wish we can do it.

The Prophet ﷺ led them in praying Zuhr. The idolaters said: They have a prayer after this that is dearer to them than their wealth and sons. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ led them in praying Asr. He divided them into two rows; behind him. He led them all in bowing; then when they raised their heads he led the row that was closest to him in prostrating; while the others remained standing. When they raised their heads from prostration; the second row prostrated; as they had already bowed with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Then the front row moved forward; so each of them took the place of his companion. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ led them all in bowing; then when they raised their heads from bowing; the row that was closest to him prostrated while the others remained standing; then when they had finished prostrating; the others prostrated; then the Prophet ﷺ said the taslim for all of them together.
