    Abu Hazim Bin Dinar narrated that some men came to Sahl Bin Saad AlSaidi. They were wondering what kind of wood the Minbar was made of; so they asked him about that. He said: By Allah; I know what it is made of. I saw it the first day it was set up and the first day the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sat on it. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent word to so-and-so - a woman whose name Sahl mentioned - telling her: Tell your carpenter slave to make me something of wood that I can sit on when I speak to the people. So she told him; and he made it from tamarisk wood from AlGhabah a place near AlMadinah. Then he brought it and it was sent to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; who commanded that it be set up here. Then I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ascend it and praying on it; and saying the Takbir while he was on top of it; then he bowed when he was on top of it; then he came down backward and prostrated at the base of the Minbar; then he went back. When he had finished he turned to face the people and said: O people; I only did this so that you can follow me in prayer and learn how I pray.

Thereupon he said: Then it would not be closed despite best efforts. We said to Hudhaifa: Did Umar know the door? Thereupon he said: Yes; he knew it for certain just as one knows that night precedes the next day. And I narrated to him something in which there was nothing fabricated. Shaqiq one of the narrators said: We dared not ask Hudhaifa about that door. So we requested Masruq to ask him. So he asked him and he said: By that door; he meant Umar.

I talked to him harshly and then regretted that; and requested him to forgive me; but he refused. This is why I have come to you. The Prophet ﷺ said thrice; O Abu Bakr! May Allah forgive you. In the meanwhile; Umar regretted his refusal of Abu Bakr excuse and went to Abu Bakr house and asked if Abu Bakr was there. They replied in the negative. So he came to the Prophet ﷺ and greeted him; but signs of displeasure appeared on the face of the Prophet ﷺ till Abu Bakr pitied Umar ; so he knelt and said twice; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! By Allah! I was more unjust to him than he to me. The Prophet ﷺ said; Allah sent me as a Prophet to you people but you said to me ; You are telling a lie; while Abu Bakr said; He has said the truth; and consoled me with himself and his money. He then said twice; Wont you then give up harming my companion? After that nobody harmed Abu Bakr.

By Him in Whose Hand my soul is; for the sheet which he stole from the war booty before its distribution on the day of Khaibar; is now burning over him. When the people heard that; a man brought one or two Shiraks leather straps of shoes to the Prophet. The Prophet ﷺ said; A Shirak of fire; or two Shiraks of fire.

Some people will say: Appeal to your father; Adam. They will go to him and say: O Adam! You are the father of all mankind; and Allah created you with His Own Hands; and ordered the angels to prostrate for you; and made you live in Paradise. Will you not intercede for us with your Lord? Dont you see in what miserable state we are; and to what condition we have reached? On that Adam will reply; My Lord is so angry as He has never been before and will never be in the future; besides ; He forbade me to eat from the tree; but I disobeyed Him ; I am worried about myself! Myself! Go to somebody else; go to Noah. They will go to Noah and say; O Noah! You are the first amongst the messengers of Allah to the people of the earth; and Allah named you a thankful slave. Dont you see in what a miserable state we are and to what condition we have reached? Will you not intercede for us with your Lord? Noah will reply: Today my Lord has become so angry as he had never been before and will never be in the future Myself! Myself! Go to the Prophet Muhammad. The people will come to me; and I will prostrate myself underneath Allah Throne. Then I will be addressed: O Muhammad! Raise your head; intercede; for your intercession will be accepted; and ask for anything. for you will be given.

Allah Messenger ﷺ told his companions about a man who claimed to be a Muslim; This man is from the people of the Fire. When the battle started; the man fought very bravely and received a great number of wounds and got crippled. On that; a man from among the companions of the Prophet ﷺ came and said; O Allah Apostle! Do you know what the man you described as of the people of the Fire has done? He has fought very bravely for Allah Cause and he has received many wounds. The Prophet ﷺ said; But he is indeed one of the people of the Fire. Some of the Muslims were about to have some doubt about that statement. So while the man was in that state; the pain caused by the wounds troubled him so much that he put his hand into his quiver and took out an arrow and committed suicide with it. Off went some men from among the Muslims to Allah Messenger ﷺ and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Allah has made your statement true. So-and-so has committed suicide. Allah Messenger ﷺ said; O Bilal! Get up and announce in public: None will enter Paradise but a believer; and Allah may support this religion Islam with a wicked man.

Some of the people were about to doubt the Prophet statement ; but the man; feeling the pain of his wounds; put his hand into his quiver and took out of it; some arrows with which he slaughtered himself i.e. committed suicide. Then some men amongst the Muslims came hurriedly and said; O Allah Apostle! Allah has made your statement true so-and-so has committed suicide. The Prophet ﷺ said; O so-and-so! Get up and make an announcement that none but a believer will enter Paradise and that Allah may support the religion with an unchaste evil wicked man.

I would fight with them for withholding it Then Umar said; By Allah; it was nothing; but Allah opened Abu Bakr chest towards the decision to fight and I came to know that his decision was right.

    Narrated Abu Huraira: When Allah Messenger ﷺ died and Abu Bakr was elected as a Caliph after him; some of the Arabs reverted to disbelief; Umar said to Abu Bakr; How dare you fight the people while Allah Messenger ﷺ said; I have been ordered to fight the people till they say None has the right to be worshipped but Allah And whoever says: None has the right to be worshipped but Allah. waves his wealth and his life from me unless he deserves a legal punishment lusty; and his account will be with Allah! Abu Bakr said; By Allah; I will fight him who discriminates between Zakat and prayers; for Zakat is the Compulsory right to be taken from the wealth By Allah; if they refuse to give me even a tying rope which they use to give to Allah Messenger ﷺ ; I would fight them for withholding it. Umar said; By Allah; It was nothing; except I saw that Allah had opened the chest of Abu Bakr to the fight; and I came to know for certain that was the truth.

Its game should not be chased; its thorny bushes should not be uprooted; and picking up its fallen things is not allowed except for one who makes public announcement for it; and he whose relative is murdered has the option either to accept a compensation for it or to retaliate. AlAbbas said; Except AlIdhkhir; for we use it in our graves and houses. Allah Messenger ﷺ said; Except AlIdhkhir. Abu Shah; a Yemenite; stood up and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Get it written for me. Allah Messenger ﷺ said; Write it for Abu Shah. The sub-narrator asked AlAuzai : What did he mean by saying; Get it written; O Allah Apostle? He replied; The speech which he had heard from Allah Messenger ﷺ.

They said; Yes. The Prophet ﷺ asked; Who is your father? They replied; So-and-so. He said; You have told a lie; your father is so-and-so. They said; You are right. He said; Will you now tell me the truth; if I ask you about something? They replied; Yes; O Abu AlQasim; and if we should tell a lie; you can realize our lie as you have done regarding our father. On that he asked; Who are the people of the Hell Fire? They said; We shall remain in the Hell Fire for a short period; and after that you will replace us. The Prophet ﷺ said; You may be cursed and humiliated in it! By Allah; we shall never replace you in it. Then he asked; Will you now tell me the truth if I ask you a question? They said; Yes; O Abu AlQasim. He asked; Have you poisoned this sheep? They said; Yes. He asked; What made you do so? They said; We wanted to know if you were a liar in which case we would get rid of you; and if you are a prophet then the poison would not harm you.

Allah Messenger ﷺ said to them; Who is your father? They said; Our father is so-and-so. Allah Messenger ﷺ said; You have told a lie. for your father is so-and-so; They said; No doubt; you have said the truth and done the correct thing. He again said to them; If I ask you about something; will you tell me the truth? They replied; Yes; O Abal-Qasim! And if we should tell a lie you will know it as you have known it regarding our father; Allah Messenger ﷺ then asked; Who are the people of the Hell Fire? They replied; We will remain in the Hell Fire for a while and then you Muslims will replace us in it Allah Messenger ﷺ said to them. You will abide in it with ignominy. By Allah; we shall never replace you in it at all. Then he asked them again; If I ask you something; will you tell me the truth? They replied; Yes. He asked. Have you put the poison in this roasted sheep? They replied; Yes; He asked; What made you do that? They replied; We intended to learn if you were a liar in which case we would be relieved from you; and if you were a prophet then it would not harm you.

A man of the Yemen called Abu Shah stood up and said: Write for me; Messenger of Allah. The narrator AlAbbas Bin AlWalid said: Write to me; you people. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Write you people ; for Abu Shah. These are the wordings of the tradition of Ahmad.Abu Dawud said: Write you people ; for me; that is; the address of the Prophet ﷺ.
