The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent word to so-and-so - a woman whose name Sahl mentioned - telling her: Tell your carpenter slave to make me something of wood that I can sit on when I speak to the people. So she told him; and he made it from tamarisk wood from AlGhabah a place near AlMadinah. Then he brought it and it was sent to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; who commanded that it be set up here. Then I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ascend it and praying on it; and saying the Takbir while he was on top of it; then he bowed when he was on top of it; then he came down backward and prostrated at the base of the Minbar; then he went back. When he had finished he turned to face the people and said: O people; I only did this so that you can follow me in prayer and learn how I pray.

I was more unjust to him than he to me. The Prophet ﷺ said; Allah sent me as a Prophet to you people but you said to me ; You are telling a lie; while Abu Bakr said; He has said the truth; and consoled me with himself and his money. When it was the last part of the night; Salman said to him; Get up now for the prayer. So both of them offered their prayers and Salman said to Abu AlDarda;Your Lord has a right on you; and your soul has a right on you; and your family has a right on you; so you should give the rights of all those who have a right on you. Later on Abu AlDarda visited the Prophet ﷺ and mentioned that to him. The Prophet; said; Salman has spoken the truth.

And if a man abuses and shames you for something which he finds in you; then do not shame him for something which you find in him; he will bear the evil consequences for it.

Then Muhaiyisa was informed that Abdullah had been killed and thrown in a pit or a spring. Muhaiyisa went to the Jews and said; By Allah; you have killed my companion. The Jews said; By Allah; we have not killed him. Muhaiyisa then came back to his people and told them the story. He; his elder brother Huwaiyisa and Abdulrahman Bin Sahl came to the Prophet and he who had been at Khaibar; proceeded to speak; but the Prophet ﷺ said to Muhaiyisa; The eldest! The eldest! meaning; Let the eldest of you speak. So Huwaiyisa spoke first and then Muhaiyisa. Allah Messenger ﷺ said; The Jews should either pay the blood money of your deceased companion or be ready for war. After that Allah Messenger ﷺ wrote a letter to the Jews in that respect; and they wrote that they had not killed him.
