The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent word to so-and-so - a woman whose name Sahl mentioned - telling her: Tell your carpenter slave to make me something of wood that I can sit on when I speak to the people. So she told him; and he made it from tamarisk wood from AlGhabah a place near AlMadinah. Then he brought it and it was sent to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; who commanded that it be set up here. Then I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ascend it and praying on it; and saying the Takbir while he was on top of it; then he bowed when he was on top of it; then he came down backward and prostrated at the base of the Minbar; then he went back. When he had finished he turned to face the people and said: O people; I only did this so that you can follow me in prayer and learn how I pray.

So he came to the Prophet ﷺ and greeted him; but signs of displeasure appeared on the face of the Prophet ﷺ till Abu Bakr pitied Umar ; so he knelt and said twice; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! By Allah! I was more unjust to him than he to me. The Prophet ﷺ said; Allah sent me as a Prophet to you people but you said to me ; You are telling a lie; while Abu Bakr said; He has said the truth; and consoled me with himself and his money. He then said twice; Wont you then give up harming my companion? After that nobody harmed Abu Bakr.

The Prophet ﷺ said; Yes; do you have any difficulty in seeing the sun at midday when it is bright and there is no cloud in the sky? They replied; No. He said; Do you have any difficulty in seeing the moon on a full moon night when it is bright and there is no cloud in the sky? They replied; No. The Prophet ﷺ said; Similarly you will have no difficulty in seeing Allah on the Day of Resurrection as you have no difficulty in seeing either of them. On the Day of Resurrection; a call-maker will announce; Let every nation follow that which they used to worship. Then none of those who used to worship anything other than Allah like idols and other deities but will fall in Hell Fire ; till there will remain none but those who used to worship Allah; both those who were obedient i.e. good and those who were disobedient i.e. bad and the remaining party of the people of the Scripture. Then the Jews will be called upon and it will be said to them; Who do you use to worship? They will say; We used to worship Ezra; the son of Allah. It will be said to them; You are liars; for Allah has never taken anyone as a wife or a son. What do you want now? They will say; O our Lord! We are thirsty; so give us something to drink. They will be directed and addressed thus; Will you drink; whereupon they will be gathered unto Hell Fire which will look like a mirage whose different sides will be destroying each other. Then they will fall into the Fire. Afterwards the Christians will be called upon and it will be said to them; Who do you use to worship? They will say; We used to worship Jesus; the son of Allah. It will be said to them; You are liars; for Allah has never taken anyone as a wife or a son; Then it will be said to them; What do you want? They will say what the former people have said. Then; when there remain in the gathering none but those who used to worship Allah Alone; the real Lord of the Worlds whether they were obedient or disobedient. Then Allah the Lord of the worlds will come to them in a shape nearest to the picture they had in their minds about Him. It will be said; What are you waiting for? Every nation have followed what they used to worship. They will reply; We left the people in the world when we were in great need of them and we did not take them as friends. Now we are waiting for our Lord Whom we used to worship. Allah will say; I am your Lord. They will say twice or thrice; We do not worship any besides Allah.

We said: Messenger of Allah! We had a reader who was reciting to us and we were listening to the Book of Allah; the Exalted. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said: Praise be to Allah Who has put among my people those with whom I have been ordered to stay. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then sat among us so as to be like one of us; and when he had made a sign with his hand they sat in a circle with their faces turned towards him. The narrator said: I think that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not recognize any of them except me. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said: Rejoice; you group of poor emigrants; in the announcement that you will have perfect light on the Day of Resurrection. You will enter Paradise half a day before the rich; and that is five hundred years.

  Narrated Abu Saeed AlKhudri: On Eid AlFitr or Id ul Adha Allah Messenger ﷺ ﷺ went out to the Mousalla. After finishing the prayer; he delivered the sermon and ordered the people to give alms. He said; O people! Give alms. Then he went towards the women and said. O women! Give alms; for I have seen that the majority of the dwellers of Hell-Fire were you women. The women asked; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! What is the reason for it? He replied; O women! You curse frequently; and are ungrateful to your husbands. I have not seen anyone more deficient in intelligence and religion than you. O women; some of you can lead a cautious wise man astray. Then he left. And when he reached his house; Zainab; the wife of Ibn Masud; came and asked permission to enter It was said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! It is Zainab. He asked; Which Zainab? The reply was that she was the wife of Ibn Masub. He said; Yes; allow her to enter. And she was admitted. Then she said; O Prophet of Allah! Today you ordered people to give alms and I had an ornament and intended to give it as alms; but Ibn Masud said that he and his children deserved it more than anybody else. The Prophet ﷺ replied; Ibn Masud had spoken the truth. Your husband and your children had more right to it than anybody else.

He said; Is not the evidence of two women equal to the witness of one man? They replied in the affirmative. He said; This is the deficiency in her intelligence. Isnt it true that a woman can neither pray nor fast during her menses? The women replied in the affirmative. He said; This is the deficiency in her religion.

Bilal replied; I had some inferior type of dates and exchanged two Sas of it for one Sa of Barni dates in order to give it to the Prophet; to eat. Thereupon the Prophet ﷺ said; Beware! Beware! This is definitely Riba usury ! This is definitely Riba Usury ! Dont do so; but if you want to buy a superior kind of dates sell the inferior dates for money and then buy the superior kind of dates with that money.

  Narrated Abu Saeed AlKhudri: Once the Prophet ﷺ sat on a pulpit and we sat around him. Then he said; The things I am afraid of most for your sake concerning what will befall you after me is the pleasures and splendors of the world and its beauties which will be disclosed to you. Somebody said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Can the good bring forth evil? The Prophet ﷺ remained silent for a while. It was said to that person; What is wrong with you? You are talking to the Prophet ﷺ while he is not talking to you. Then we noticed that he was being inspired divinely. Then the Prophet ﷺ wiped off his sweat and said; Where is the questioner? It seemed as if the Prophet ﷺ liked his question. Then he said; Good never brings forth evil. Indeed it is like what grows on the banks of a water-stream which either kill or make the animals sick; except if an animal eats its fill the Khadira a kind of vegetable and then faces the sun; and then defecates and urinates and grazes again. No doubt this wealth is sweet and green. Blessed is the wealth of a Muslim from which he gives to the poor; the orphans and to needy travelers. Or the Prophet said something similar to it No doubt; whoever takes it illegally will be like the one who eats but is never satisfied; and his wealth will be a witness against him on the Day of Resurrection.
