    Abu Hazim Bin Dinar narrated that some men came to Sahl Bin Saad AlSaidi. They were wondering what kind of wood the Minbar was made of; so they asked him about that. He said: By Allah; I know what it is made of. I saw it the first day it was set up and the first day the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sat on it. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent word to so-and-so - a woman whose name Sahl mentioned - telling her: Tell your carpenter slave to make me something of wood that I can sit on when I speak to the people. So she told him; and he made it from tamarisk wood from AlGhabah a place near AlMadinah. Then he brought it and it was sent to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; who commanded that it be set up here. Then I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ascend it and praying on it; and saying the Takbir while he was on top of it; then he bowed when he was on top of it; then he came down backward and prostrated at the base of the Minbar; then he went back. When he had finished he turned to face the people and said: O people; I only did this so that you can follow me in prayer and learn how I pray.

Thereupon he said: Then it would not be closed despite best efforts. We said to Hudhaifa: Did Umar know the door? Thereupon he said: Yes; he knew it for certain just as one knows that night precedes the next day. And I narrated to him something in which there was nothing fabricated. Shaqiq one of the narrators said: We dared not ask Hudhaifa about that door. So we requested Masruq to ask him. So he asked him and he said: By that door; he meant Umar.

In the meanwhile; Umar regretted his refusal of Abu Bakr excuse and went to Abu Bakr house and asked if Abu Bakr was there. They replied in the negative. So he came to the Prophet ﷺ and greeted him; but signs of displeasure appeared on the face of the Prophet ﷺ till Abu Bakr pitied Umar ; so he knelt and said twice; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! By Allah! I was more unjust to him than he to me. The Prophet ﷺ said; Allah sent me as a Prophet to you people but you said to me ; You are telling a lie; while Abu Bakr said; He has said the truth; and consoled me with himself and his money. He then said twice; Wont you then give up harming my companion? After that nobody harmed Abu Bakr.

If you hunt an animal with your bow after mentioning Allah Name; eat of it. and if you hunt something with your trained hound after mentioning Allah Name; eat of it; and if you hunt something with your untrained hound and get it before it dies and slaughter it; eat of it.

AlLaith said: Narrated Yunus: I asked Ibn Shihab; May we perform the ablution with the milk of asses or drink it; or drink the bile of wild animals or urine of camels? He replied; The Muslims used to treat themselves with that and did not see any harm in it. As for the milk of asses; we have learnt that Allah Messenger ﷺ forbade the eating of their meat; but we have not received any information whether drinking of their milk is allowed or forbidden. As for the bile of wild animals; Ibn Shihab said; Abu Idris AlKhaulani told me that Allah Messenger ﷺ forbade the eating of the flesh of every wild beast having fangs.

When the Muadh-dhin pronounced the Adhan saying; Allahu-Akbar; Allahu Akbar; Muawiya said: Allah Akbar; Allahu Akbar. And when the Muadh-dhin said; AlAshhadu an la ilaha illal-lah I testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah ; Muawiya said; And so do I. When he said; AlAshhadu anna Muhammadan Rasulullah I testify that Muhammad is Allah Apostle ; Muawiya said; And so do I. When the Adhan was finished; Muawiya said; O people; when the Muadh-dhin pronounced the Adhan I heard Allah Messenger ﷺ on this very pulpit saying what you have just heard me saying.
