Then I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ascend it and praying on it; and saying the Takbir while he was on top of it; then he bowed when he was on top of it; then he came down backward and prostrated at the base of the Minbar; then he went back. When he had finished he turned to face the people and said: O people; I only did this so that you can follow me in prayer and learn how I pray.follow me in prayer and learn how I pray.)

Thereupon he said: Then it would not be closed despite best efforts. We said to Hudhaifa: Did Umar know the door? Thereupon he said: Yes; he knew it for certain just as one knows that night precedes the next day. And I narrated to him something in which there was nothing fabricated. Shaqiq one of the narrators said: We dared not ask Hudhaifa about that door. So we requested Masruq to ask him. In the meanwhile; Umar regretted his refusal of Abu Bakr excuse and went to Abu Bakr house and asked if Abu Bakr was there. They replied in the negative. So he came to the Prophet ﷺ and greeted him; but signs of displeasure appeared on the face of the Prophet ﷺ till Abu Bakr pitied Umar ; so he knelt and said twice; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! By Allah! I was more unjust to him than he to me. The Prophet ﷺ said; Allah sent me as a Prophet to you people but you said to me ; You are telling a lie; while Abu Bakr said; He has said the truth; and consoled me with himself and his money. He then said twice; Wont you then give up harming my companion? After that nobody harmed Abu Bakr.panion? After that nobody harmed Abu Bakr.)

Everyone is returning after performing Hajj and Umra but I am returning after performing Hajj only. He said; Didnt you perform Tawaf round the Kaba the night we reached Mecca? I replied in the negative. He said; Go with your brother to Tanim and assume the Ihram for Umra; and after performing it come back to such and such a place. On that Safiya said; I feel that I will detain you all. The Prophet ﷺ said; O Aqra Halqa! Didnt you perform Tawaf of the Kaba on the day of sacrifice? i.e. Tawaf Alifada Safiya replied in the affirmative. He said; to Safiya. There is no harm for you to proceed on with us. Aisha added; after returning from Umra ; the Prophet ﷺ met me while he was ascending from Mecca and I was descending to it; or I was ascending and he was descending.or I was ascending and he was descending.)

In the meantime the condition of the Prophet ﷺ improved a bit and he came out with the help of two men one on each side. As if I was observing his legs dragging on the ground owing to the disease. Abu Bakr wanted to retreat but the Prophet ﷺ beckoned him to remain at his place and the Prophet ﷺ was brought till he sat beside Abu Bakr. AlAmash was asked; Was the Prophet ﷺ praying and Abu Bakr following him; and were the people following Abu Bakr in that prayer? AlAmash replied in the affirmative with a nod of his head. Abu Muawiya said; The Prophet ﷺ was sitting on the left side of Abu Bakr who was praying while standing.f Abu Bakr who was praying while standing.)

On that Abu Barza came to us and said; Since the time I left Allah Messenger ﷺ ; nobody has admonished me; My house is very far from this place; and if I had carried on praying and left my horse; I could not have reached my house till night. The Prophet of Allah ﷺ offered the prayer; then gave the salutation to his right and his left so that we saw the whiteness of his cheeks; then turned away as Abu Rimthah meaning himself had done. The man who has been present with him at the first takbir in the prayer then got up to pray another prayer; whereupon Umar leaped up and; seizing him by the shoulders; shook him and said: Sit down; for the People of the Book perished for no other reason than that there was no interval between their prayers. The Prophet ﷺ raised his eyes and said: Allah has made you say what is right; son of AlKhattab.Abu Dawud said: Sometimes the name of Abu Umayah is narrated instead of Abu Rimthah.Umayah is narrated instead of Abu Rimthah.)
