He said: By Allah; I know what it is made of. I saw it the first day it was set up and the first day the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sat on it. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent word to so-and-so - a woman whose name Sahl mentioned - telling her: Tell your carpenter slave to make me something of wood that I can sit on when I speak to the people. So she told him; and he made it from tamarisk wood from AlGhabah a place near AlMadinah. Then he brought it and it was sent to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; who commanded that it be set up here. Then I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ascend it and praying on it; and saying the Takbir while he was on top of it; then he bowed when he was on top of it; then he came down backward and prostrated at the base of the Minbar; then he went back. When he had finished he turned to face the people and said: O people; I only did this so that you can follow me in prayer and learn how I pray.

Thereupon he said: Then it would not be closed despite best efforts. We said to Hudhaifa: Did Umar know the door? Should I give two-thirds of my property in charity? He said; No. I asked; Half? He said; No. then he added; Onethird; and even one-third is much. Youd better leave your inheritors wealthy rather than leaving them poor; begging others. You will get a reward for whatever you spend for Allah sake; even for what you put in your wife mouth. I said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Will I be left alone after my companions have gone? He said; If you are left behind; whatever good deeds you will do will upgrade you and raise you high. And perhaps you will have a long life so that some people will be benefited by you while others will be harmed by you. O Allah! Complete the emigration of my companions and do not turn them renegades. But Allah Messenger ﷺ felt sorry for poor Saad Bin Khaula as he died in Mecca. but Saad Bin Abi Waqqas lived long after the Prophet ﷺ.

So Akk Dhu Khaywan embraced Islam. Akk was told: Go to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; and obtain his protection for your town and property. He therefore came to him and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wrote a document for him: In the name of Allah; Most Beneficent; Most Merciful. From Muhammad; the Messenger of Allah; to Akk Dhu Khaywan.
