Then I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ascend it and praying on it; and saying the Takbir while he was on top of it; then he bowed when he was on top of it; then he came down backward and prostrated at the base of the Minbar; then he went back. When he had finished he turned to face the people and said: O people; I only did this so that you can follow me in prayer and learn how I pray.follow me in prayer and learn how I pray.)

Thereupon he said: Then it would not be closed despite best efforts. We said to Hudhaifa: Did Umar know the door? Thereupon he said: Yes; he knew it for certain just as one knows that night precedes the next day. And I narrated to him something in which there was nothing fabricated. So he came to the Prophet ﷺ and greeted him; but signs of displeasure appeared on the face of the Prophet ﷺ till Abu Bakr pitied Umar ; so he knelt and said twice; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! By Allah! I was more unjust to him than he to me. The Prophet ﷺ said; Allah sent me as a Prophet to you people but you said to me ; You are telling a lie; while Abu Bakr said; He has said the truth; and consoled me with himself and his money. He then said twice; Wont you then give up harming my companion? After that nobody harmed Abu Bakr.panion? After that nobody harmed Abu Bakr.)

The Prophet ﷺ used to offer the prayer wherever the prayer was due; and he would pray even in sheepfolds. Then he ordered that the Masjid be built. He sent for the chiefs of Banu AlNajjar; and when they came; he said; O Banu AlNajjar! Suggest to me the price of this garden of yours. They replied No! By Allah; we do not demand its price except from Allah. In that garden there were the following things that I will tell you: Graves of pagans; unleveled land with holes and pits etc.; and date-palm trees. Allah Messenger ﷺ ordered that the graves of the pagans be dug up and; the unleveled land be leveled and the date-palm trees be cut down. The trunks of the trees were arranged so as to form the wall facing the Qibla. The Stone pillars were built at the sides of its gate. The companions of the Prophet ﷺ were carrying the stones and reciting some lyrics; and Allah Messenger ﷺ.. was with them and they were saying; O Allah! There is no good Excel the good of the Hereafter; so bestow victory on the Ansar and the Emigrants.ow victory on the Ansar and the Emigrants.)

Allah Messenger ﷺ replied; I give to such people as are still close to the period of Infidelity i.e. they have recently embraced Islam and Faith is still weak in their hearts. Wont you be pleased to see people go with fortune; while you return with Allah Messenger ﷺ to your houses? By Allah; what you will return with; is better than what they are returning with. The Ansar replied; Yes; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ; we are satisfied Then the Prophet ﷺ said to them. You will find after me; others being preferred to you. Then be patient till you meet Allah and meet His Apostle at AlKauthar i.e. a fount in Paradise. Anas added: But we did not remain patient.Anas added: But we did not remain patient.)

May Allah forgive Allah Messenger ﷺ as he gives of the booty to Quraish and leaves us though our swords are still dribbling with their blood. The Prophet ﷺ said; I give to these men who have newly deserted heathenism and embraced Islam so as to attract their hearts. Wont you be happy that the people take the wealth while you take the Prophet ﷺ with you to your homes? By Allah; what you are taking is better than whatever they are taking. They i.e. the Ansar said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! We are satisfied. The Prophet ﷺ then said to them. You will find others favored over you greatly; so be patient till you meet Allah and His Apostle and I will be at the Tank then. Anas added: But they did not remain patient.as added: But they did not remain patient.)

The Prophet ﷺ at that time; was riding on a white mule; then he dismounted and said; I am Allah Slave and His Apostle. The infidels then were defeated; and on that day the Prophet ﷺ gained a large amount of booty which he distributed amongst the Muhajirin and the Tulaqa and did not give anything to the Ansar. The Ansar said; When there is a difficulty; we are called; but the booty is given to other than us. The news reached the Prophet ﷺ and he gathered them in a leather tent and said; What is this news reaching me from you; O the group of Ansar? They kept silent; He added; O the group of Ansar! Wont you be happy that the people take the worldly things and you take Allah Messenger ﷺ to your homes reserving him for yourself? They said; Yes. Then the Prophet said; If the people took their way through a valley; and the Ansar took their way through a mountain pass; surely; I would take the Ansar mountain pass. Hisham said; O Abu Hamza i.e. Anas ! Did you witness that? He replied; And how could I be absent from him?plied; And how could I be absent from him?)
