    Abu Hazim Bin Dinar narrated that some men came to Sahl Bin Saad AlSaidi. They were wondering what kind of wood the Minbar was made of; so they asked him about that. He said: By Allah; I know what it is made of. I saw it the first day it was set up and the first day the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sat on it. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent word to so-and-so - a woman whose name Sahl mentioned - telling her: Tell your carpenter slave to make me something of wood that I can sit on when I speak to the people. So she told him; and he made it from tamarisk wood from AlGhabah a place near AlMadinah. Then he brought it and it was sent to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; who commanded that it be set up here. Then I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ascend it and praying on it; and saying the Takbir while he was on top of it; then he bowed when he was on top of it; then he came down backward and prostrated at the base of the Minbar; then he went back. When he had finished he turned to face the people and said: O people; I only did this so that you can follow me in prayer and learn how I pray.

I said: Commander of the Faithful; you have nothing to do with it; for the door is closed between you and that. He said: Would that door be broken or opened? I said: No; it would be broken. Thereupon he said: Then it would not be closed despite best efforts. We said to Hudhaifa: Did Umar know the door? Thereupon he said: Yes; he knew it for certain just as one knows that night precedes the next day. And I narrated to him something in which there was nothing fabricated. Shaqiq one of the narrators said: We dared not ask Hudhaifa about that door. So we requested Masruq to ask him. So he asked him and he said: By that door; he meant Umar.

So he came to the Prophet ﷺ and greeted him; but signs of displeasure appeared on the face of the Prophet ﷺ till Abu Bakr pitied Umar ; so he knelt and said twice; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! By Allah! I was more unjust to him than he to me. The Prophet ﷺ said; Allah sent me as a Prophet to you people but you said to me ; You are telling a lie; while Abu Bakr said; He has said the truth; and consoled me with himself and his money. He then said twice; Wont you then give up harming my companion? After that nobody harmed Abu Bakr.

On that; Um Aiman came and put the garment around my neck and said; No; by Him except Whom none has the right to be worshipped; he will not return those trees to you as he i.e. the Prophet ﷺ has given them to me. The Prophet ﷺ go said to her ; Return those trees and I will give you so much instead of them. But she kept on refusing; saying; No; by Allah; till he gave her ten times the number of her date palms.

So Allah Messenger ﷺ ordered that they should be provided with some milch camels and a shepherd and ordered them to go out of Medina and to drink the camels milk and urine as medicine So they set out and when they reached AlHarra; they reverted to Heathenism after embracing Islam; and killed the shepherd of the Prophet and drove away the camels. When this news reached the Prophet; he sent some people in pursuit of them. So they were caught and brought back to the Prophet ﷺ. The Prophet ﷺ gave his orders in their concern. Anas Bin AlNadr said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Will the incisor tooth of AlRubai be broken? No; by Him Who sent you with the Truth; her incisor tooth will not be broken. Allah Messenger ﷺ said; O Anas! The prescribed law of Allah is equality in punishment i.e. AlQisas. Thereupon those people became satisfied and forgave her. Then Allah Messenger ﷺ said; Among Allah Worshippers there are some who; if they took Allah Oath for something ; Allah fulfill their oaths.

But Amir was infected with plague in the House of Um so-and-so. He said; Shall I stay in the house of a lady from the family of so-and-so after having a swelled gland like that camel? Get me my horse. So he died on the back of his horse. Then Haram; the brother of Um Sulaim and a lame man along with another man from so-and-so tribe went towards the pagans i.e. the tribe of Amir. Haram said to his companions ; Stay near to me; for I will go to them. If they i.e. infidels should give me protection; you will be near to me; and if they should kill me; then you should go back to your companions. Then Haram went to them and said; Will you give me protection so as to convey the message of Allah Messenger ﷺ ? So; he started talking to them but they signalled to a man to kill him and he went behind him and stabbed him with a spear. He i.e. Haram said; Allahu Akbar! I have succeeded; by the Lord of the Kaba! The companion of Haram was pursued by the infidels; and then they i.e. Haram companions were all killed except the lame man who was at the top of a mountain. Then Allah revealed to us a verse that was among the cancelled ones later on. It was: We have met our Lord and He is pleased with us and has made us pleased. After this event the Prophet ﷺ invoked evil on the infidels every morning for 30 days. He invoked evil upon the tribes of Ril; Dhakwan; Bani Lihyan and Usaiya who disobeyed Allah and His Apostle.
