    Abu Hazim Bin Dinar narrated that some men came to Sahl Bin Saad AlSaidi. They were wondering what kind of wood the Minbar was made of; so they asked him about that. He said: By Allah; I know what it is made of. I saw it the first day it was set up and the first day the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sat on it. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent word to so-and-so - a woman whose name Sahl mentioned - telling her: Tell your carpenter slave to make me something of wood that I can sit on when I speak to the people. So she told him; and he made it from tamarisk wood from AlGhabah a place near AlMadinah. Then he brought it and it was sent to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; who commanded that it be set up here. Then I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ascend it and praying on it; and saying the Takbir while he was on top of it; then he bowed when he was on top of it; then he came down backward and prostrated at the base of the Minbar; then he went back. When he had finished he turned to face the people and said: O people; I only did this so that you can follow me in prayer and learn how I pray.

Thereupon he said: Then it would not be closed despite best efforts. We said to Hudhaifa: Did Umar know the door? Thereupon he said: Yes; he knew it for certain just as one knows that night precedes the next day. And I narrated to him something in which there was nothing fabricated. Shaqiq one of the narrators said: We dared not ask Hudhaifa about that door. So we requested Masruq to ask him. So he asked him and he said: By that door; he meant Umar.

So he came to the Prophet ﷺ and greeted him; but signs of displeasure appeared on the face of the Prophet ﷺ till Abu Bakr pitied Umar ; so he knelt and said twice; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! By Allah! I was more unjust to him than he to me. The Prophet ﷺ said; Allah sent me as a Prophet to you people but you said to me ; You are telling a lie; while Abu Bakr said; He has said the truth; and consoled me with himself and his money. He then said twice; Wont you then give up harming my companion? After that nobody harmed Abu Bakr.

So; the fish; was made; as a sign for him; and he was told that when the fish was lost; he should return and there he would meet him. So; Moses went on looking for the sign of the fish in the sea. The servant boy of Moses said to him; Do you know that when we were sitting by the side of the rock; I forgot the fish; and t was only Satan who made me forget to tell you about it. Moses said; That was what we were seeking after; and both of them returned; following their footmarks and found Khadir; and what happened further to them; is mentioned in Allah Book.

Allah Messenger ﷺ slept till the middle of the night; either a bit before or a bit after it; and then woke up rubbing the traces of sleep off his face with his hands; and then recited the last ten Verses of Suratal-Imran. Then he got up and went to a hanging water skin; performed ablution from it -- and performed it perfectly. Then he stood up to perform the prayer. I also did the same as he had done and then went to stand beside him. Allah Messenger ﷺ put his right hand on my head and held and twisted my right ear. He then offered two rakat; then two rakat then two rakat; then two then two rakat; then two rakat; and finally; one raka witr. Then lay down again till the Muadhdhin i.e. the call-maker came to him; whereupon he got up and offered a light two rakat prayer and went out to the Masjid and offered the compulsory congregational Fajr prayer.

He said: It is him; striking the clouds when he drives them on; until it goes where it is ordered. They said: You have told the truth. They said: Then inform us about what Israil made unlawful for himself. He said: He suffered from sciatica; and he could not find anything agreeable due to it to consume except for camel meat and its milk. So for that reason he made it unlawful. They said: You have told the truth.
