Thereupon he said: Then it would not be closed despite best efforts. We said to Hudhaifa: Did Umar know the door? Thereupon he said: Yes; he knew it for certain just as one knows that night precedes the next day. And I narrated to him something in which there was nothing fabricated. So he came to the Prophet ﷺ and greeted him; but signs of displeasure appeared on the face of the Prophet ﷺ till Abu Bakr pitied Umar ; so he knelt and said twice; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! By Allah! I was more unjust to him than he to me. The Prophet ﷺ said; Allah sent me as a Prophet to you people but you said to me ; You are telling a lie; while Abu Bakr said; He has said the truth; and consoled me with himself and his money. He then said twice; Wont you then give up harming my companion? After that nobody harmed Abu Bakr.

There was also written in it: The asylum pledge of protection granted by any Muslims is one and the same; even a Muslim of the lowest status is to be secured and respected by all the other Muslims; and whoever betrays a Muslim in this respect by violating the pledge will incur the curse of Allah; the angels; and all the people; and Allah will not accept his compulsory or optional good deeds. Saad Bin AlRabi said to me ; I am the richest among the Ansar; so I will give you half of my wealth and you may look at my two wives and whichever of the two you may choose I will divorce her; and when she has completed the prescribed period before marriage you may marry her. Abdulrahman replied; I am not in need of all that. Is there any marketplace where trade is practiced? He replied; The market of Qainuqa. Abdulrahman went to that market the following day and brought some dried buttermilk yogurt and butter; and then he continued going there regularly. Few days later; Abdulrahman came having traces of yellow scent on his body. Allah Messenger ﷺ asked him whether he had got married. He replied in the affirmative. The Prophet ﷺ said; Whom have you married? He replied; A woman from the Ansar. Then the Prophet ﷺ asked; How much did you pay her? He replied; I gave her a gold piece equal in weigh to a date stone or a date stone of gold ! The Prophet ﷺ said; Give a Walima wedding banquet even if with one sheep.

Alqama replied; From the people of Kufa. Abu AlDarda said; Isnt there amongst you the Keeper of the secret which nobody else knows i.e. Hudhaifa? Alqama said; Yes. Then Abu AlDarda asked; How Abdullah Bin Masud used to recite the Surat starting with: By the night as it envelopes; By the day as it appears in brightness? 92.1-2. Alqama said And by male and female. Abu AlDarda then said; These people of Sham tried hard to make me accept something other than what I had heard from the Prophet.

On that; Habib Bin Masalama said to Ibn Umar ; Why dont you reply to him i.e. Muawiya ? Abdullah Bin Umar said; I untied my garment that was going round my back and legs while I was sitting and was about to say; He who fought against you and against your father for the sake of Islam; is more rightful to be a Caliph; but I was afraid that my statement might produce differences amongst the people and cause bloodshed; and my statement might be interpreted not as I intended. So I kept quiet remembering what Allah has prepared in the Gardens of Paradise for those who are patient and prefer the Hereafter to this worldly life. Habib said; You did what kept you safe and secure i.e. you were wise in doing so.

The Prophet ﷺ repeated his statement again and again. After that he raised his head and said; O Allah! Havent conveyed Your Message to them. Havent I conveyed Your Message to them? Ibn Abbas added; By Him in Whose Hand my soul is; the following was his will Prophet will to his followers:-It is incumbent upon those who are present to convey this information to those who are absent Beware dont renegade as disbelievers turn into infidels after me; Striking the necks cutting the throats of one another.

And avoid the use of rhymed prose in invocation for I noticed that Allah Messenger ﷺ and his companions always avoided it.
