So he came to the Prophet ﷺ and greeted him; but signs of displeasure appeared on the face of the Prophet ﷺ till Abu Bakr pitied Umar ; so he knelt and said twice; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! By Allah! I was more unjust to him than he to me. The Prophet ﷺ said; Allah sent me as a Prophet to you people but you said to me ; You are telling a lie; while Abu Bakr said; He has said the truth; and consoled me with himself and his money. He then said twice; Wont you then give up harming my companion? After that nobody harmed Abu Bakr.

You must then follow my sunnah and that of the rightly-guided caliphs. Hold to it and stick fast to it. Avoid novelties; for every novelty is an innovation; and every innovation is an error.

Allah; the Blessed; the Superior says: By no means shall you attain righteousness; unless you spend in charity of that which you love. And no doubt; Bairuha garden is the most beloved of all my property to me. So I want to give it in charity in Allah Cause. I expect its reward from Allah. O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Spend it where Allah makes you think it feasible. On that Allah Apostle said; Bravo! It is useful property. I have heard what you have said O Abu Talha ; and I think it would be proper if you gave it to your Kith and kin. Abu Talha said; I will do so; O Allah Apostle. Then Abu Talha distributed that garden amongst his relatives and his cousins.
