Thereupon Umar said: I do not mean that turmoil on a small scale but that one which would emerge like the mounting waves of the ocean. I said: Commander of the Faithful; you have nothing to do with it; for the door is closed between you and that. He said: Would that door be broken or opened? I said: No; it would be broken. Thereupon he said: Then it would not be closed despite best efforts. We said to Hudhaifa: Did Umar know the door? Thereupon he said: Yes; he knew it for certain just as one knows that night precedes the next day. And I narrated to him something in which there was nothing fabricated. Shaqiq one of the narrators said: We dared not ask Hudhaifa about that door. So we requested Masruq to ask him. So he asked him and he said: By that door; he meant Umar.

So he came to the Prophet ﷺ and greeted him; but signs of displeasure appeared on the face of the Prophet ﷺ till Abu Bakr pitied Umar ; so he knelt and said twice; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! By Allah! I was more unjust to him than he to me. The Prophet ﷺ said; Allah sent me as a Prophet to you people but you said to me ; You are telling a lie; while Abu Bakr said; He has said the truth; and consoled me with himself and his money. He then said twice; Wont you then give up harming my companion? After that nobody harmed Abu Bakr.

He said; I heard him saying; When AlDajjal appears; he will have fire and water along with him. What the people will consider as cold water; will be fire that will burn things. So; if anyone of you comes across this; he should fall in the thing which will appear to him as fire; for in reality; it will be fresh cold water. Hudhaifa added; I also heard him saying; From among the people preceding your generation; there was a man whom the angel of death visited to capture his soul. So his soul was captured and he was asked if he had done any good deed. He replied; I dont remember any good deed. He was asked to think it over. He said; I do not remember; except that I used to trade with the people in the world and I used to give a respite to the rich and forgive the poor among my debtors. So Allah made him enter Paradise. Hudhaifa further said; I also heard him saying; Once there was a man on his death-bed; who; losing every hope of surviving said to his family: When I die; gather for me a large heap of wood and make a fire to burn me. When the fire eats my meat and reaches my bones; and when the bones burn; take and crush them into powder and wait for a windy day to throw it i.e. the powder over the sea. They did so; but Allah collected his particles and asked him: Why did you do so? He replied: For fear of You. So Allah forgave him. Uqba Bin Amr said; I heard him saying that the Israeli used to dig the grave of the dead to steal their shrouds.

Divine Inspiration was revealed to him when he was forty years old. He stayed ten years in Mecca receiving the Divine Inspiration; and stayed in Medina for ten more years. When he expired; he had scarcely twenty white hairs in his head and beard. Rabia said; I saw some of his hairs and it was red. When I asked about that; I was told that it turned red because of scent.

The next Friday Umar Bin AlKhattab recited the same Surat and when he reached the verse of AlSajda he said; O people! When we recite the verses of AlSajda during the sermon whoever prostrates does the right thing; yet it is no sin for the one who does not prostrate. And Umar did not prostrate that day. Added Ibn Umar Allah has not made the prostration of recitation compulsory but if we wish we can do it.

    Narrated Rafi Bin Khadeej and Sahl Bin Abu Hathma: Abdullah Bin Sahl and Muhaiyisa Bin Masud went to Khaibar and they dispersed in the gardens of the date-palm trees. Abdullah Bin Sahl was murdered. Then Abdulrahman Bin Sahl; Huwaiyisa and Muhaiyisa; the two sons of Masud; came to the Prophet ﷺ and spoke about the case of their murdered friend. Abdulrahman who was the youngest of them all; started talking. The Prophet ﷺ said; Let the older among you speak first. So they spoke about the case of their murdered friend. The Prophet ﷺ said; Will fifty of you take an oath whereby you will have the right to receive the blood money of your murdered man; or said;..your companion. They said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! The murder was a thing we did not witness. The Prophet ﷺ said; Then the Jews will release you from the oath; if fifty of them the Jews should take an oath to contradict your claim. They said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! They are disbelievers and they will take a false oath. Then Allah Messenger ﷺ himself paid the blood money to them.

When Allah name is mentioned you may eat what is killed by anything which causes the blood to flow except tooth and claw. I shall tell you about it. The tooth is a bone; and the claw is the knife of Abyssinians. Some people hastened and went forward; they made haste and got booty; while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was in the rear and they setup cooking pots. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by over the cooking pots. He ordered to turn them over. He then divided the spoils of war between them; and gave them a camel for ten goats in equation. One of the camels of the people ran away; and they had no horses with them at that time. A man shot an arrow at it; and Allah prevented it from escaping. The Prophet ﷺ said: Among animals i.e. camels there are some which bolt like wild animals ; so when any of them does so; do with it like this.

Then a camel belonging to the first party of people ran away and they had no horses with them; so a man shot it with an arrow whereby Allah stopped it. The Prophet ﷺ said; Of these animals there are some which are as wild as wild beasts. So; if anyone of them runs away like this; do like this shoot it with an arrow.

Then we got some camels and sheep as war booty; and one of those camels ran away; whereupon a man shot it with an arrow and stopped it. Allah Messenger ﷺ said; Of these camels there are some which are as wild as wild beasts; so if one of them runs away and makes you tired; treat it in this manner.
