Thereupon he said: Then it would not be closed despite best efforts. We said to Hudhaifa: Did Umar know the door? Thereupon he said: Yes; he knew it for certain just as one knows that night precedes the next day. And I narrated to him something in which there was nothing fabricated. Shaqiq one of the narrators said: We dared not ask Hudhaifa about that door. So we requested Masruq to ask him. So he asked him and he said: By that door; he meant Umar.

Abu Bakr greeted the Prophet ﷺ and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! There was something i.e. quarrel between me and the Son of AlKhattab. I talked to him harshly and then regretted that; and requested him to forgive me; but he refused. This is why I have come to you. The Prophet ﷺ said thrice; O Abu Bakr! May Allah forgive you. In the meanwhile; Umar regretted his refusal of Abu Bakr excuse and went to Abu Bakr house and asked if Abu Bakr was there. They replied in the negative. So he came to the Prophet ﷺ and greeted him; but signs of displeasure appeared on the face of the Prophet ﷺ till Abu Bakr pitied Umar ; so he knelt and said twice; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! By Allah! I was more unjust to him than he to me. The Prophet ﷺ said; Allah sent me as a Prophet to you people but you said to me ; You are telling a lie; while Abu Bakr said; He has said the truth; and consoled me with himself and his money. He then said twice; Wont you then give up harming my companion? After that nobody harmed Abu Bakr.

They said: We swear by Allah; we have not killed him. He then proceeded and came to his tribe and mentioned this to them. Then he; his brother Huwayasah; who was older to him; and Abdulrahman Bin Sahl came forward to the Prophet. Muhayasah began to speak. It was he who was at Khaibar. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said to him: Let the eldest speak ; let the eldest speak ; meaning age. So Huwayasah spoke; and after him Muhayasah spoke. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said: They should either pay the bloodwit for you friend or they should be prepared for war. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wrote to them about it. They wrote in reply : We swear by Allah; we have not killed him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said to Huwayasah; Muhayasah and Abdulrahman Will you take an oath and thus have the claim to the blood of your friend ? They said: No. He the Prophet said: The Jews will then take an oath. They said: They are not Muslims. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ himself paid the bloodwit. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then sent on one hundred camels and they were entered in their house. Sahl said: A red camel of them gave me a kick.

Then Muhayisa found Abdullah Bin Sahl having been killed. He buried him; and then came to Allah Messenger ﷺ. They were Huwayisa Bin Masud and Abdulrahman Bin Sahl; and he the latter one was the youngest of the people those three who had come to seek an interview with the Holy Prophet began to talk before his Companions had spoken. Thereupon Allah Messenger ﷺ said: The eldest one eldest in regard to age should speak. So he kept quiet; and his companions Muhayisa and Huwayisa began to speak; and he Abdulrahman spoke along with them and they narrated to Allah Messenger ﷺ the murder of Abdullah Bin Sahl. Thereupon he said to them: Are you prepared to take fifty oaths so that you may be entitled to blood-wit of your companion or your man who has murdered ? They said: How can we take an oath on a matter which we have not witnessed? He the Holy Prophet said: Then the Jews will exonerate themselves by fifty oaths. They said: How can we accept the oaths of people who are unbelievers? When Allah Messenger ﷺ saw that; he himself paid his blood-wit.

He went and returned and said: No; by Allah; not even an iron ring; but only this lower garment of mine Sahl said that he had no upper garment ; half of which I am prepared to part with for her. Thereupon Allah Messenger ﷺ said: How can your lower garment serve your purpose; for it you wear it; she would not be able to make any use of it and if she wears it there would not be anything on you? The man sat down and as the sitting prolonged he stood up in disappointment and as he was going back Allah Messenger ﷺ commanded him to be called back; and as he came; he said to him: Do you know any part of the Quran? He said: I know such and such surahs and he counted them ; whereupon he ﷺ said: Can you recite them from heart from your memory ? He said: Yes; whereupon he Allah Messenger said: Go; I have given her to you in marriage for the part of the Quran which you know.

So Aasi m asked the Messenger of Allah about that; and the Messenger of Allah disapproved of the question; and criticized the asking of too many questions until Aasi m felt upset. When Aasi m went back to his people; Uwaimir came to him and said: O Aasi m; what did the Messenger of Allah say to you? Aasi m said: You have not brought me any good. The Messenger of Allah disapproved of the question you asked. Uwaimir said: By Allah; I will go and ask the Messenger of Allah. So he went to the Messenger of Allah and found him in the midst of the people. He said: O Messenger of Allah; what do you think if a man finds another man with his wife -should he kill him; and be killed in retaliation or what should he do? The Messenger of Allah said: Something has been revealed concerning you and your wife; so go and bring her here. Sahl said: So they engaged in the procedure of Lian; and I was among the people in the presence of the Messenger of Allah. When Uwaimir finished he said: I would have been telling lies about her; O Messenger of Allah; if I keep her. So he divorced her thrice before the Messenger of Allah told him to do so.

    Sahl Bin Saad AlSaidi narrated that: A woman came to the Messenger of Allah and said: I present myself to you for marriage. So she stood for a long time. Then a man said: O Messenger of Allah! Marry her to me if you have no need of her. So he said: Do you have anything to give her as a dowry? He said: I have nothing except this Izar. So the Messenger of Allah said: If you give her your Izar then you will have no Izar; so search for something. He said: I did not find anything. He said: Search for something; even if it just an iron ring. He said: So he searched but he did not find anything. The Messenger of Allah said: Do you have any Quran memorized ? He said: Yes. This Surat and that Surat. And he named the Surat. So the Messenger of Allah said: I marry her to you for what you have memorized of the Quran.
