I said: Commander of the Faithful; you have nothing to do with it; for the door is closed between you and that. He said: Would that door be broken or opened? I said: No; it would be broken. Thereupon he said: Then it would not be closed despite best efforts. We said to Hudhaifa: Did Umar know the door? Thereupon he said: Yes; he knew it for certain just as one knows that night precedes the next day. And I narrated to him something in which there was nothing fabricated. Shaqiq one of the narrators said: We dared not ask Hudhaifa about that door. So we requested Masruq to ask him. So he asked him and he said: By that door; he meant Umar.and he said: By that door; he meant Umar.)

In the meanwhile; Umar regretted his refusal of Abu Bakr excuse and went to Abu Bakr house and asked if Abu Bakr was there. They replied in the negative. So he came to the Prophet ﷺ and greeted him; but signs of displeasure appeared on the face of the Prophet ﷺ till Abu Bakr pitied Umar ; so he knelt and said twice; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! By Allah! I was more unjust to him than he to me. The Prophet ﷺ said; Allah sent me as a Prophet to you people but you said to me ; You are telling a lie; while Abu Bakr said; He has said the truth; and consoled me with himself and his money. He then said twice; Wont you then give up harming my companion? After that nobody harmed Abu Bakr.panion? After that nobody harmed Abu Bakr.)

Yahya said that he heard Malik say; Anyone who says that he has a vow but does not mention the name of Allah; is still obliged to make the kaffara for an oath if he breaks it. Malik said; Emphasis is when a man swears one thing several times; repeating the oath in his speech time after time. For instance; the statement; By Allah; I will not decrease it from such-and-such; sworn three times or more. The kaffara of that is like the kaffara of one oath. If a man swears; I will not eat this food or wear these clothes or enter this house; that is all in one oath; and he is only obliged to do one kaffara. It is the same for a man who says to his wife; You are divorced if I clothe you in this garment or let you go to the Masjid; and it is one entire statement in the normal pattern of speech. If he breaks any of that oath; divorce is necessary; and there is no breaking of oath after that in whatever he does. There is only one oath to be broken in that. Malik said; What we do about a woman who makes a vow without her husband permission is that she is allowed to do so and she must fulfill it; if it only concerns her own person and will not harm her husband. If; however; it will harm her husband; he may forbid her to fulfill it; but it remains an obligation against her until she has the opportunity to complete it.il she has the opportunity to complete it.)

Marwan said; I swear to you; Abdar-Rahman; you must go to the two umm Almuminin; Aisha and Umm Salamah; and ask them about it. Abdulrahman went to visit Aisha and I accompanied him. He greeted her and then said; Umm Almuminin; we were with Marwan Ibn AlHakam and someone mentioned to him that Abu Huraira used to say that if some one had begun the morning junub; he had broken the fast for that day. Aisha said; It is not as Abu Huraira says Abdulrahman Do you dislike what the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; used to do?; and Abdulrahman said; No; by Allah. Aisha said; I bear witness that the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; used to get up in the morning junub from intercourse; not a dream; and would then fast for that day. He continued; Then we went and visited Umm Salamah; and Abdulrahman asked her about the same matter and she said the same as Aisha had said. Then we went off until we came to Marwan Ibn AlHakam Abdulrahman told him what they had both said and Marwan said; I swear to you; Abu Muhammad; you must use the mount which is at the door; and go to Abu Huraira; who is on his land at AlAqiq; and tell him this. So Abdulrahman rode off; and I went with him; until we came to Abu Huraira. Abdulrahman talked with him for a while; and then mentioned the matter to him; and Abu Huraira said; I dont know anything about it. I was just told that by someone.about it. If he goes in the second part of the time; it is as if he had offered up a cow. If he goes in the third part of the time; it is as if he had offered up a horned ram. If he goes in the fourth part of the time; it is as if he had offered up a hen. If he goes in the fifth part of the time; it is as if he had offered up an egg. And when the imam comes out; the angels settle down listening to the dhikr remembrance of Allah.stening to the dhikr remembrance of Allah.)

The Kingdom and praise belong to Him and He has power over everything La ilaha illallah; wahdahu la sharika lah; lahul mulku wa lahul hamd; wa huwa ala kulli shayin qadir one hundred times a day; it is the same for him as freeing ten slaves. One hundred good actions are written for him and one hundred wrong actions are erased from him; and it is a protection from Shaytan for that day until the night. No-one does anything more excellent than what he does except someone who does more than that.es except someone who does more than that.)

He also said; Martyrs are five: the one killed by a plague; the one killed by a disease of the belly; the one who drowns; the one killed by a collapsing building; and the martyr in the path of Allah. He also said; If people knew what there was in the call to prayer and the first row; and they could find no other way except to draw lots for it; they would draw lots for it. And if they knew what there was in doing dhuhr at its time; they would race each other to it. And if they knew what there was in the prayers of isha and maghrib; they would come to them even if they had to crawl.ld come to them even if they had to crawl.)
