Thereupon he said: Then it would not be closed despite best efforts. We said to Hudhaifa: Did Umar know the door? Thereupon he said: Yes; he knew it for certain just as one knows that night precedes the next day. And I narrated to him something in which there was nothing fabricated. Shaqiq one of the narrators said: We dared not ask Hudhaifa about that door. So we requested Masruq to ask him. So he asked him and he said: By that door; he meant Umar.and he said: By that door; he meant Umar.)

In the meanwhile; Umar regretted his refusal of Abu Bakr excuse and went to Abu Bakr house and asked if Abu Bakr was there. They replied in the negative. So he came to the Prophet ﷺ and greeted him; but signs of displeasure appeared on the face of the Prophet ﷺ till Abu Bakr pitied Umar ; so he knelt and said twice; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! By Allah! I was more unjust to him than he to me. The Prophet ﷺ said; Allah sent me as a Prophet to you people but you said to me ; You are telling a lie; while Abu Bakr said; He has said the truth; and consoled me with himself and his money. He then said twice; Wont you then give up harming my companion? After that nobody harmed Abu Bakr.panion? After that nobody harmed Abu Bakr.)

Malik said; Our position here in Madina is that someone who does hajj and umra together should not remove any of his hair; nor should he come out of ihram in any way until he has sacrificed an animal; if he has one. Malik was asked about some one who set out with his own sacrificial animal and marked it and garlanded it at Dh AlHulayfa; but did not go into ihram until he had reached AlJuhfa;and hesaid; I do not like that; and whoever does so has not acted properly. He should only garland his sacrificial animal; or mark it; when he goes into ihram; unless it is someone who does not intend to do hajj; in which case he sends it off and stays with his family. Malik was asked if somone who was not in ihram could set out with a sacrificial animal; and he said; Yes. There is no harm in that. He was also asked to comment on the different views people had about what became haram for some one who garlanded a sacrificial animal but did not intend to do either hajj or umra; and he said; What we go by as far as this is concerned is what Aisha; umm Almuminin said; The Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; sent his sacrificial animal off and did not go there himself; and there was nothing that Allah had made halal for him that was haram for him until the animal had been sacrificed.him until the animal had been sacrificed.)

When they got back to Umar Ibn AlKhattab they told him about this; and he said to Kaab ; What made you tell them they could do that? Kaab said; It is game of the sea. He said; How do you know?; and Kaab said; Amir Almuminin; by the One in whose hand my self is; it is only the sneeze of a fish which it sneezes twice every year. Malik was asked whether a muhrim could buy game that he had found on the way. He replied; Game that is only hunted to be offered to people performing Hajj I disapprove of and forbid; but there is no harm in game that a man has which he does not intend for those in ihram; but which a muhrim finds and buys. Malik said; about someone who had some game with him that he had hunted or bought at the time when he had entered into ihram; that he did not have to get rid of it; and that there was no harm in him giving it to his family. Malik said that it was halal for some one in ihram to fish in the sea or in rivers and lakes; etc.sh in the sea or in rivers and lakes; etc.)
