Thereupon he said: Then it would not be closed despite best efforts. We said to Hudhaifa: Did Umar know the door? Thereupon he said: Yes; he knew it for certain just as one knows that night precedes the next day. And I narrated to him something in which there was nothing fabricated. Shaqiq one of the narrators said: We dared not ask Hudhaifa about that door. So we requested Masruq to ask him. So he asked him and he said: By that door; he meant Umar.and he said: By that door; he meant Umar.)

In the meanwhile; Umar regretted his refusal of Abu Bakr excuse and went to Abu Bakr house and asked if Abu Bakr was there. They replied in the negative. So he came to the Prophet ﷺ and greeted him; but signs of displeasure appeared on the face of the Prophet ﷺ till Abu Bakr pitied Umar ; so he knelt and said twice; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! By Allah! I was more unjust to him than he to me. The Prophet ﷺ said; Allah sent me as a Prophet to you people but you said to me ; You are telling a lie; while Abu Bakr said; He has said the truth; and consoled me with himself and his money. He then said twice; Wont you then give up harming my companion? After that nobody harmed Abu Bakr.panion? After that nobody harmed Abu Bakr.)

Bilal went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and asked him what these women had instructed him to ask. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked him who these women were. He Bilal said: They are women from Ansar and Zainab. Upon this the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Which of the Zainabs? He said: The wife of Abdullah. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: There are two rewards for them; the reward of kinship and the reward of Sadaqa.eward of kinship and the reward of Sadaqa.)

Humayd Ibn Nafi said; I asked Zaynab to explain what throwing away the piece of dung at the end of a year meant. Zaynab said; In the Aljahiliya when a woman husband died; she went into a small tent and dressed in the worst of clothes. She did not touch perfume or anything until a year had passed. Then she was brought an animal - a donkey; a sheep; or a bird; and she would break her idda with it; by rubbing her body against it taftaddu. Rarely did she break her idda with anything by rubbing herself against it but that it died. Then she would come out and would be given a piece of dung. She would throw it away and then return to whatever she wished of perfumes or whatever. Malik explained; Taftaddu means to wipe her skin with it in the same way as with a healing charm.t in the same way as with a healing charm.)

She said: So I passed my waiting period in it her house for four months and ten days. He said: Yes; we were in one of our journeys with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when a man; a harsh; foolish Bedouin; who had been at the end of the group; called him with a loud voice; saying: O Muhammad! O Muhammad! So the people said to him Mah! Indeed; you have been prohibited from this. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ responded to him with similar to his voice: Come. So he said: A man loves a people but he has not reached them? He said: So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: A man is with whomever he loves.Zirr said: He did not cease reporting to me until he had reported that Allah; the Mighty and Sublime; has appointed a gate in the west - its width is the distance of a seventy-year journey - for repentance: it shall not be locked until the sun rises from its direction; and that is the Statement of Allah; Blessed be He and Most High; of the Ayah: The Day some of the signs of your Lord come; no soul shall be benefited by its believing.soul shall be benefited by its believing.)

He said: Yes; he ﷺ used to order us; that when we were travelers - or - in travel; to not remove our Khuff for three days and nights except; from sexual impurity; but not from defecation; urination; and sleep. He said: Have you heard him ﷺ mention anything concerning love? He said: Yes. We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a journey when a Bedouin with a loud voice called upon him saying : O Muhammad! So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ responded to him with a voice similar to him saying : Come. So we said to him: Lower your voice for you are with the Prophet ﷺ ; and you have been prohibited from this. He said: By Allah; I will not lower my voice. The Bedouin said: A man loves a people but he is not with them in terms of deeds ? He ﷺ said: A man is with whomever he loves on the Day Of Judgment. So he did not cease talking with us; until he mentioned a gate in the direction of the west with the width of seventy years journey - or a rider would travel its width - for forty or seventy years. Sufyan one of the narrators said: In the direction of AlSham; Allah created it the Day He created the heavens and the earth; open - that is; for repentance. It shall not be locked until the sun rises through it.be locked until the sun rises through it.)

According to the agreed version: By Allah; it is the twenty-seventh night of Ramadan; without any reservation. I said: How did you know that; Abu AlMundhir? He replied: By the indication or sign of which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ informed us. I asked Zirr: What is the sign ? He replied: The sun rises like a vessel of water in the morning following that night; it has no rays until it rises high up.ht; it has no rays until it rises high up.)
