SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1155 | Narrated Mousa Bin Abi Aisha: Saeed Bin Jubair reported from Ibn Abbas regarding the explanation of the Verse: Do not move your tongue concerning the Quran to make haste therewith. He said; The Prophet ﷺ used to undergo great difficulty in receiving the Divine Inspiration and used to move his lips. Ibn Abbas said to Said ; I move them my lips as Allah Messenger ﷺ used to move his lips. And Saeed said to me ; I move my lips as I saw Ibn Abbas moving his lips; and then he moved his lips. So Allah revealed:- O Muhammad! Do not move your tongue concerning the Quran to make haste therewith. It is for Us to collect it and give you O Muhammad the ability to recite it. i.e.; to collect it in your chest and then you recite it. 75.16-17 But when We have recited it; to you O Muhammad through Gabriel then follow you its recital. 75.18 This means; You should listen to it and keep quiet and then it is upon Us to make you recite it. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-3313 | Narrated Ibn Abbas: Regarding His Allahs Statement:- Move not your tongue concerning the Quran to make haste therewith. 75.16 And whenever Gabriel descended to Allah Messenger ﷺ with the Divine Inspiration; Allah Messenger ﷺ used to move his tongue and lips; and that used to be hard for him; and one could easily recognize that he was being inspired Divinely. So Allah revealed the Verse which occurs in the Surah starting with I do swear by the Day of Resurrection. 75.1 i.e. Move not your tongue concerning the Quran to make haste then with. It is for Us to collect it in your mind O Muhammad an give you the ability to recite it by heart. 75.16-17 which means: It is for us to collect it in your mind and give you the ability to recite it by heart. And when We have recited it to you O Muhammad through Gabriel then follow you its recital. 75.18 means: When We reveal it the Quran to you; Listen to it. for then: It is for Us to explain it and make it clear to you 75.19 i.e. It is up to Us to explain it through your tongue. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6061 | Narrated Said Bin Jubair: Ibn Abbas in the explanation of the statement of Allah Move not your tongue concerning the Quran to make haste therewith. 75.16 said Allah Messenger ﷺ used to bear the revelation with great trouble and used to move his lips quickly with the Inspiration. Ibn Abbas moved his lips saying; I am moving my lips in front of you as Allah Messenger ﷺ used to move his. Said moved his lips saying: I am moving my lips; as I saw Ibn Abbas moving his. Ibn Abbas added; So Allah revealed Move not your tongue concerning the Quran to make haste therewith. It is for Us to collect it and to give you O Muhammad the ability to recite it the Quran 75.16-17 which means that Allah will make him the Prophet remember the portion of the Quran which was revealed at that time by heart and recite it. The statement of Allah: And when we have recited it to you O Muhammad through Gabriel then you follow its Quran recital 75.18 means listen to it and be silent. Then it is for Us Allah to make it clear to you 75.19 means Then it is for Allah to make you recite it and its meaning will be clear by itself through your tongue. SunanAlNasai-017-001-17074 | It was narrated that Abdullah in Umar said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: There are two qualities which no Muslim person attains but he will enter Paradise; and they are easy; but those who do them are few. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: The five daily prayers: After each prayer one of you glorifies Allah SWT ten times and praises Him ten times and magnifies him ten times; which makes one hundred and fifty on the tongue and one thousand five hundred in the balance. And I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ counting them on his hands. And when one of you retires to his bed he says the tasbih thirty-three times and the tahmid thirty-three times and the takbir thirty-four times; that is one hundred on the tongue and one thousand in the balance. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: So which of you does two thousand five hundred bad deeds in a day and a night? It was said: O Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; how can a person not persist in doing that? SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-27008 | Narrated Abdullah Ibn Amr: The Prophet ﷺ said: There are two qualities or characteristics which will not be returned by any Muslim without his entering Paradise. While they are easy; those who act upon them are few. One should say: Glory be to Allah ten times after every prayer; Praise be to Allah ten times and Allah is Most Great ten times. That is a hundred and fifty on the tongue; but one thousand and five hundred on the scale. When he goes to bed; he should say: Allah is Most Great thirty-four times; Praise be to Allah thirty-three times; and Glory be to Allah thirty-three times; for that is a hundred on the tongue and a thousand on the scale. He said: I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ counting them on his hand. The people asked: Messenger of Allah! How is it that while they are easy; those who act upon them are few? SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-27950 | Narrated Abu Mousa AlAshari: Hittan Ibn Abdullah AlRuqashi said: Abu Mousa AlAshari led us in prayer. When he sat at the end of his prayer; one of the people said: Prayer has been established by virtue and purity. When Abu Mousa returned from his prayer or finished his prayer ; he gave his attention to the people; and said: Which of you is the speaker of such and such words? The people remained silent. Which of you is the speaker of such and such words? The people remained silent. He said: You might have said them; Hittan. He replied: I did not say them. I was afraid you might punish me. One of the people said: I said them and I did not intend by them anything except good. Abu Mousa said: Do you not know how you utter them in your prayer? The Messenger of Allah ﷺ addressed us; and taught us and explained to us our way of doing and taught us our prayer. He said: When you pray a congregational prayer; straighten your rows; then one of you should lead you in prayer. When he says the takbir Allah is Most Great ; say the takbir; and when he recites verses Not of those upon whom is Thy anger; nor of those who err i.e. the end of Surah i. ; say Amin; Allah will favour you. When he says Allah is most great; and bows; say Allah is most great and bow; for the imam will bow before you; and will raise his head before you. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: This is for that. When he says Allah listens to the one who praises Him; say: O Allah; our Lord; to Thee be praise; Allah be praised; Allah will listen to you; for Allah; the Exalted; said by the tongue of His Prophet ﷺ : Allah listens to the one who praises Him. When he says Allah is most great and prostrates; say: Allah is most great and prostrate; for the imam prostrates before you and raises his head before you. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: This is for that. When he sits; each one of you should say The adorations of the tongue; all good things; and acts of worship are due to Allah. Peace be upon you; O Prophet; and Allah mercy and His blessings. Peace be upon us and upon Allah upright servants.
