When ye do divorce women, divorce them at their prescribed periods, and count (accurately), their prescribed periods: And fear Allah your Lord: and turn them not out of their houses, nor shall they (themselves) leave, except in case they are guilty of some open lewdness, those are limits set by Allah: and any who transgresses the limits of Allah, does verily wrong his (own) soul: thou knowest not if perchance Allah will bring about thereafter some new situation.

What is wrong with me that only the poor and humble people enter me ? Hell Fire said; I have been favored with the arrogant people. So Allah said to Paradise; You are My Mercy; and said to Hell; You are My Punishment which I inflict upon whom I wish; and I shall fill both of you. The Prophet added; As for Paradise; it will be filled with good people because Allah does not wrong any of His created things; and He creates for Hell Fire whomever He will; and they will be thrown into it; and it will say thrice; Is there any more; till Allah will put His Foot over it and it will become full and its sides will come close to each other and it will say; Qat! Butter and honey were dropping from it and I saw the people gathering it in their hands; some gathering much and some a little. And behold; there was a rope extending from the earth to the sky; and I saw that you the Prophet held it and went up; and then another man held it and went up and after that another third held it and went up; and then after another fourth man held it; but it broke and then got connected again. Abu Bakr said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Let my father be sacrificed for you! Allow me to interpret this dream. The Prophet ﷺ said to him; Interpret it. Abu Bakr said; The cloud with shade symbolizes Islam; and the butter and honey dropping from it; symbolizes the Quran; its sweetness dropping and some people learning much of the Quran and some a little. The rope which is extended from the sky to the earth is the Truth which you the Prophet are following. You follow it and Allah will raise you high with it; and then another man will follow it and will rise up with it and another person will follow it and then another man will follow it but it will break and then it will be connected for him and he will rise up with it. O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Let my father be sacrificed for you! Am I right or wrong? The Prophet replied; You are right in some of it and wrong in some. Abu Bakr said; O Allah Prophet! By Allah; you must tell me in what I was wrong. He replied; You have been troubled much by my coming up to you ; and I have to get water. What is wrong with the people? Who is that man?. They would say; That man claims that Allah has sent him as an Apostle ; that he has been divinely inspired; that Allah has revealed to him such-and-such. I used to memorize that Divine Talk; and feel as if it was inculcated in my chest i.e. mind And the Arabs other than Quraish delayed their conversion to Islam till the Conquest of Mecca. They used to say. Leave him i.e. Muhammad and his people Quraish: if he overpowers them then he is a true Prophet. So; when Mecca was conquered; then every tribe rushed to embrace Islam; and my father hurried to embrace Islam before the other members of my tribe. When my father returned from the Prophet to his tribe; he said; By Allah; I have come to you from the Prophet ﷺ for sure! The Prophet ﷺ afterwards said to them; Offer such-and-such prayer at such-and-such time; and when the time for the prayer becomes due; then one of you should pronounce the Adhan for the prayer ; and let the one amongst you who knows Quran most should; lead the prayer. So they looked for such a person and found none who knew more Quran than I because of the Quranic material which I used to learn from the caravans. They therefore made me their Imam to lead the prayer and at that time I was a boy of six or seven years; wearing a Burda i.e. a black square garment proved to be very short for me and my body became partly naked. A lady from the tribe said; Wont you cover the anus of your reciter for us? So they bought a piece of cloth and made a shirt for me. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-7157Narrated Habib Bin Abi Thabit: I went to Abu Wail to ask him about those who had rebelled against Ali. On that Abu Wail said; We were at Siffin a city on the bank of the Euphrates; the place where me battle took place between Ali and Muawiya A man said; Will you be on the side of those who are called to consult Allah Book to settle the dispute ? Ali said; Yes I agree that we should settle the matter in the light of the Quran. Some people objected to Ali agreement and wanted to fight. On that Sahl Bin Hunaif said; Blame yourselves! I remember how; on the day of AlHudaibiya i.e. the peace treaty between the Prophet ﷺ and the Quraish pagans ; if we had been allowed to choose fighting; we would have fought the pagans. At that time Umar came to the Prophet and said; Arent we on the right path and they pagans in the wrong? Wont our killed persons go to Paradise; and theirs in the Fire? The Prophet replied; Yes. Umar further said; Then why should we let our religion be degraded and return before Allah has settled the matter between us? The Prophet ﷺ said; O the son of AlKhattab! No doubt; I am Allah Messenger ﷺ and Allah will never neglect me. So Umar left the place angrily and he was so impatient that he went to Abu Bakr and said; O Abu Bakr! Arent we on the right path and they pagans on the wrong? Abu Bakr said; O the son of AlKhattab! He is Allah Messenger ﷺ ; and Allah will never neglect him. SahihMuslim-017-001-17385Abdullah Bin Buraida reported on the authority of his father that Maiz Bin Malik AlAslami came to Allah Messenger ﷺ and said: Allah Messenger; I have wronged myself; I have committed adultery and I earnestly desire that you should purify me. He turned him away. On the following day; he Maiz again came to him and said: Allah Messenger; I have committed adultery. Allah Messenger ﷺ turned him away for the second time; and sent him to his people saying: Do you know if there is anything wrong with his mind. They denied of any such thing in him and said: We do not know him but as a wise good man among us; so far as we can judge. He Maiz came for the third time; and he the Holy Prophet sent him as he had done before. He asked about him and they informed him that there was nothing wrong with him or with his mind. When it was the fourth time; a ditch was dug for him and he the Holy Prophet pronounced judg- ment about him and he wis stoned. He the narrator said: There came to him the Holy Prophet a woman from Ghamid and said: Allah Messenger; I have committed adultery; so purify me. He the Holy Prophet turned her away. On the following day she said: Allah Messenger; Why do you turn me away? Perhaps; you turn me away as you turned away Maiz. By Allah; I have become pregnant. He said: Well; if you insist upon it; then go away until you give birth to the child. When she was delivered she came with the child wrapped in a rag and said: Here is the child whom I have given birth to. He said: Go away and suckle him until you wean him. When she had weaned him; she came to him the Holy Prophet with the child who was holding a piece of bread in his hand. She said: Allah Apostle; here is he as I have weaned him and he eats food. He the Holy Prophet entrusted the child to one of the Muslims and then pronounced punishment. And she was put in a ditch up to her chest and he commanded people and they stoned her. Khalid b Walid came forward with a stone which he flung at her head and there spurted blood on the face of Khalid and so he abused her. Allah Apostle ﷺ heard his Khalids curse that he had huried upon her. Thereupon he the Holy Prophet said: Khalid; be gentle. By Him in Whose Hand is my life; she has made such a repentance that even if a wrongful tax-collector were to repent; he would have been forgiven. So he went and prayed; and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ started watching him; and he the man did not know what was wrong with it. When he had finished the prayer; he came and greeted the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and the people with salam. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him: And also to you. Go and pray; for you have not prayed. He repeated it two or three times; then the man said: O Messenger of Allah; what is wrong with my prayer? The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: The prayer of any of you is not complete unless he performs Ablution properly as enjoined by Allah; the Mighty and Sublime. So he should wash his face; his arms up to the elbows; and wipe his head; and wash his feet up to the ankles. Then he should magnify Allah SWT and praise Him and glorify Him. - One of the narrators Hammam said: I heard him say: He should praise Allah and glorify Him and magnify Him. He said: I heard both of them. -He the Prophet ﷺ said: He should recite whatever is easy for him of the Quran that Allah has taught him and permitted him in it the prayer. Then he should say the Takbir and bow until his joints settle and he is relaxed. Then he should say: Sami Allahu liman hamidah Allah hears the one who praises Him and stand up straight until his backbone is straight and at ease. Then he should say Takbir and prostrate until he has placed his face firmly on the ground. I heard him say: his forehead; until his joints settle and he is relaxed. Then he should say the Takbir and sit up until his backbone is straight and at ease. Then he should prostrate until he has placed his face firmly on the ground and he is relaxed. Those who received much or little of it are those who learn much or little of the Quran. The rope hanging from Heaven to Earth is the truth which you are following. You catch hold of it and then Allah will raise you to Him. Then another man will catch hold of it and ascend it; Then another man will catch hold of it and it will break. But it will be joined and he will ascend it. Tell me. Messenger of Allah; whether I am right or wrong. He said: You are partly right and partly wrong. He said: I adjure you by Allah; you should tell me where I am wrong. Let the one with a small herd of camels and the one with a small herd of sheep enter; but be wary of the livestock of Ibn Awuf and the livestock of Ibn Affan. If their livestock are destroyed; they will return to palm-trees and agriculture. If the livestock of the one with a small herd of camels and the one with a small herd of sheep are destroyed; he will bring his children to me crying; Amir Almuminin! Amir AlMuminin! Shall I neglect them? Water and pasturage are of less value to me than gold and silver. By Allah; they think that I have wronged them. This is their land and their water. They fought for it in the jahiliya and became muslims on it in Islam. By He in whose hand my self is! MuwataMalik-017-001-35001Malik said; When a man owes money to another man and he asks him to let it stay with him as a quirad; that is disapproved of until the creditor receives his property. Then he can make it a qirad loan or keep it. That is because the debtor may be in a tight situation; and want to delay it to increase it for him. Malik spoke about an investor who made a qirad loan to a man; and some of the principal was lost before he used it; and then he used it and made a profit. The agent wanted to make the principal the remainder of the money after what was lost from it. Malik said; His statement is not accepted; and the principal is made up to its original amount from his profit. Then they divide what remains after the principal has been repaid according to the conditions of the qirad. Malik said; Qirad loan is only good in gold or silver coin and it is never permitted in any kind of wares or goods or articles. Malik said; There are certain transactions which if a long span of time passes after the transaction takes place; its revocation becomes unacceptable. As for usury; there is never anything except its rejection whether it is a little or a lot. MuwataMalik-017-001-35032Yahya related to me from Malik from a reliable source from Amr Ibn Shuayb from his father from his father father that the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; forbade transactions in which nonrefundable deposits were paid. Malik said; That is; in our opinion; but Allah knows best; that for instance; a man buys a slave or slave-girl or rents an animal and then says to the person from whom he bought the slave or leased the animal; I will give you a dinar or a dirham or whatever on the condition that if I actually take the goods or ride what I have rented from you; then what I have given you already goes towards payment of the goods or hire of the animal. If I do not purchase the goods or hire the animal; then what I have given you is yours without liability on your part. Malik said; According to the way of doing things with us there is nothing wrong in bartering an arabic speaking merchant slave for abyssinian slaves or any other type that are not his equal in eloquence; trading; shrewdness; and know-how. There is nothing wrong in bartering one slave like this for two or more other slaves with a stated delay in the terms if he is clearly different. If there is no appreciable difference between the slaves; two should not be bartered for one with a stated delay in the terms even if their racial type is different. Malik said; There is nothing wrong in selling what has been bought in such a transaction before taking possession of all of it as long as you receive the price for it from some one other than the original owner. Malik said; An addition to the price must not be made for a foetus in the womb of its mother when she is sold because that is gharar an uncertain transaction. It is not known whether the child will be male or female; good-looking or ugly; normal or handicapped; alive or dead. All these things will affect the price. Malik said that in a transaction where a slave or slave-girl was bought for one hundred dinars with a stated credit period that if the seller regretted the sale there was nothing wrong in him asking the buyer to revoke it for ten dinars which he would pay him immediately or after a period and he would forgo his right to the hundred dinars which he was owed. Malik said; However; if the buyer regrets and asks the seller to revoke the sale of a slave or slave-girl in consideration of which he will pay an extra ten dinars immediately or on credit terms; extended beyond the original term; that should not be done. It is disapproved of because it is as if; for instance; the seller is buying the one hundred dinars which is not yet due on a year credit term before the year expires for a slave-girl and ten dinars to be paid immediately or on credit term longer than the year. This falls into the category of selling gold for gold when delayed terms enter into it. Malik said that it was not proper for a man to sell a slave-girl to another man for one hundred dinars on credit and then to buy her back for more than the original price or on a credit term longer than the original term for which he sold her. To understand why that was disapproved of in that case; the example of a man who sold a slave-girl on credit and then bought her back on a credit term longer than the original term was looked at. He might have sold her for thirty dinars with a month to pay and then buy her back for sixty dinars with a year or half a year to pay. The outcome would only be that his goods would have returned to him just like they were and the other party would have given him thirty dinars on a month credit against sixty dinars on a year or half a year credit.
