I said to myself ; What is wrong with me? Is anything improper detected in me? What is wrong with me? Then I sat beside him and he kept on saying his statement. I could not remain quiet; and Allah knows in what sorrowful state I was at that time. So I said; Who are they the losers ? Let My father and mother be sacrificed for you; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! He said; They are the wealthy people; except the one who does like this and like this and like this i.e.; spends of his wealth in Allah Cause.

He replied The Masjid of AlAqsa in Jerusalem. I said; What was the period of construction between the two? He said; Forty years. He added; Wherever you may be; and the prayer time becomes due; perform the prayer there; for the best thing is to do so i.e. to offer the prayers in time.

So I walked in the shade; away from the moonlight; but the Prophet ﷺ looked behind and saw me and said; Who is that? I replied; Abu Dhar; let Allah get me sacrificed for you! He said; O Abu Dhar; come here! So I accompanied him for a while and then he said; The rich are in fact the poor little rewarded on the Day of Resurrection except him whom Allah gives wealth which he gives in charity to his right; left; front and back; and does good deeds with it. I walked with him a little longer. Then he said to me; Sit down here. So he made me sit in an open space surrounded by rocks; and said to me; Sit here till I come back to you. He went towards AlHarra till I could not see him; and he stayed away for a long period; and then I heard him saying; while he was coming; Even if he had committed theft; and even if he had committed illegal sexual intercourse? When he came; I could not remain patient and asked him; O Allah Prophet! Let Allah get me sacrificed for you! Whom were you speaking to by the side of AlHarra? I did not hear anybody responding to your talk. He said; It was Gabriel who appeared to me beside AlHarra and said; Give the good news to your followers that whoever dies without having worshipped anything besides Allah; will enter Paradise. I said; O Gabriel! Even if he had committed theft or committed illegal sexual intercourse? He said; Yes. I said; Even if he has committed theft or committed illegal sexual intercourse? He said; Yes.     Narrated Abu Dhar: Once I went to him the Prophet ﷺ and he said; By Allah in Whose Hands my life is or probably said; By Allah; except Whom none has the right to be worshipped whoever had camels or cows or sheep and did not pay their Zakat; those animals will be brought on the Day of Resurrection far bigger and fatter than before and they will tread him under their hooves; and will butt him with their horns; and those animals will come in circle : When the last does its turn; the first will start again; and this punishment will go on till Allah has finished the judgments amongst the people.

Then he said; Those who are rich in this world would have little reward in the Hereafter except those who spend their money here and there in Allah Cause ; and they are few in number. Then he ordered me to stay at my place and went not far away. I heard a voice and intended to go to him but I remembered his order; Stay at your place till I return. On his return I said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! What was that noise which I heard? He said; Did you hear anything? I said; Yes. He said; Gabriel came and said to me; Whoever amongst your followers dies; worshipping none along with Allah; will enter Paradise. I said; Even if he did such-and-such things i.e. even if he stole or committed illegal sexual intercourse He said; Yes.

And that is the interpretation of the Statement of Allah: And the sun Runs its fixed course For a term decreed. that is The Decree of Allah The Exalted in Might; The AllKnowing. 36.38

Then he again wanted to pronounce the Adhan but the Prophet; said to him; Let it become cooler. The Muadh-dhin again wanted to pronounce the Adhan for the prayer but the Prophet ﷺ said; Let it become cooler; till the shadows of the hillocks become equal to their sizes. The Prophet ﷺ added; The severity of the heat is from the raging of Hell.

He said; Those who have much wealth in this world will be the least rewarded in the Hereafter except those who do like this and like this i.e.; spend their money in charity. Then he ordered me; Remain at your place and do not leave it; O Abu Dhar; till I come back. He went away till he disappeared from me. Then I heard a voice and feared that something might have happened to Allah Messenger ﷺ ; and I intended to go to find out but I remembered the statement of Allah Messenger ﷺ that I should not leave; my place; so I kept on waiting and after a while the Prophet ﷺ came ; and I said to him; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ; I heard a voice and I was afraid that something might have happened to you; but then I remembered your statement and stayed there. The Prophet ﷺ said; That was Gabriel who came to me and informed me that whoever among my followers died without joining others in worship with Allah; would enter Paradise. I said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Even if he had committed illegal sexual intercourse and theft? He said; Even if he had committed illegal sexual intercourse and theft.

Then he proceeded in the darkness of the night till he went out of sight; and then I heard a loud voice; and was afraid that something might have happened to the Prophet ﷺ.1 intended to go to him; but I remembered what he had said to me; i.e. Dont leave your place till I come back to you; so I remained at my place till he came back to me. I said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! I heard a voice and I was afraid. So I mentioned the whole story to him. He said; Did you hear it? I replied; Yes. He said; It was Gabriel who came to me and said; Whoever died without joining others in worship with Allah; will enter Paradise. I asked Gabriel ; Even if he had committed theft or committed illegal sexual intercourse? Gabriel said; Yes; even if he had committed theft or committed illegal sexual intercourse.

    Narrated Abu Dhar: While the Prophet ﷺ was on a journey; he said regarding the performance of the Zuhr prayer ; Wait till it i.e. the weather gets cooler. He said the same again till the shade of the hillocks extended. Then he said; Delay the Zuhr Prayer till it gets cooler; for the severity of heat is from the increase in heat of Hell fire.

    Narrated Abu Dharr and Abu Huraira: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to sit among his Companions. A stranger would come and not recognize him the Prophet until he asked about him. So we asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to make a place where he might take his seat so that when a stranger came; he might recognise him. So we built a terrace of soil on which he would take his seat; and we would sit beside him. He then mentioned something similar to this Hadith saying: A man came; and he described his appearance. He saluted from the side of the assembly; saying: Peace be upon you; Muhammad. The Prophet ﷺ then responded to him.

    Narrated Abu Dharr: Ayoub Ibn Bushayr Ibn Kaab AlAdawi quoted a man of Anazah who said that he asked Abu Dharr when he left Syria: I wish to ask you about a tradition of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said: I shall tell you except that it is something secret. Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ shake hands with you when you met him? He replied: I never met him without his shaking hands with me. One day he sent for me when I was not at home. When I came I was informed that he had sent for me. I came to him and found him on a couch. He embraced me and that was better and better.

He said; Nobody says: None has the right to be worshipped but Allah and then later on he dies while believing in that; except that he will enter Paradise. I said; Even if he had committed illegal sexual intercourse and theft? He said. Even if he had committed illegal sexual intercourse and theft. I said; Even if he had committed illegal sexual intercourse and theft? He said. Even if he had committed illegal sexual intercourse and theft. I said; Even it he had committed illegal sexual intercourse and theft? He said; Even if he had committed illegal sexual intercourse and theft; inspite of the Abu Dharr dislike. Abu Abdullah said; This is at the time of death or before it if one repents and regrets and says None has the right to be worshipped but Allah. He will be forgiven his sins.

He then said to me: What will you do; Abu Dharr; when you see the Ahjar AlZayt covered with blood? I replied: What Allah and His Apostle choose for me. He said: You must go to those who are like-minded. I asked: Should I not take my sword and put it on my shoulder? He replied: you would then associate yourself with the people. I then asked: What do you order me to do? You must stay at home. I asked: What should I do if people enter my house and find me? He replied: If you are afraid the gleam of the sword may dazzle you; put the end of your garment over your face in order that the one who kills you may bear the punishment of your sins and his.Abu Dawud said: No one mentioned AlMushath in the chain of this tradition except Hammad Bin Zaid.

    Narrated Abu Dharr: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me: O Abu Dharr: I replied: At your service and at your pleasure; Messenger of Allah! He said: how will you do when death smites people; and a house; meaning a grave; will cost as much as a slave. He replied: What do you think if you had unlawful sexual intercourse; would he not have been a sinner ?

    Narrated Abu Dharr: We fasted with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during Ramadan; but he did not make us get up at night for prayer at any time during the month till seven nights remained; then he made us get up for prayer till a third of the night had passed. When the sixth remaining night came; he did not make us get up for prayer. When the fifth remaining night came; he made us stand in prayer till a half of the night had gone. So I said: Messenger of Allah; I wish you had led us in supererogatory prayers during the whole of tonight. He said: When a man prays with an imam till he goes he is reckoned as having spent a whole night in prayer. On the fourth remaining night he did not make us get up. When the third remaining night came; he gathered his family; his wives; and the people and prayed with us till we were afraid we should miss the falah success. I said: What is falah? He said: The meal before daybreak. Then he did not make us get up for prayer during the remainder of the month.

  • Narrated Abu Dharr: When the Prophet ﷺ went to bed at night; he used to say: Bismika namutu wa nahya. And when he got up in the morning; he used to say; Alhamdu li Allahi Alladhi ahyana bada ma amatana; wa ilaihi-nnushur.  +

So Umar Bin AlKhattab said; as if out of envy: So do you acknowledge that for him; O Messenger of Allah? He said: Yes; so acknowledge it.

  • Narrated Abu Dharr: that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Jibril came to me and gave me glad tidings; that whoever dies without associating anything with Allah; then he will enter Paradise. I said: Even if he commits adultery and theft? He said: Yes.  +

    Narrated Abu Dharr: that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Whoever lifts the curtain so that his sight enters the house before he was given permission; and he seeks the nakedness of its inhabitants; then he has done something punishable which was not lawful for him to do. If it were that when he gazed into it; he was facing a man who lanced his eyes; there would be nothing wrong with him doing so. But if a man passes by a door that has no cover over it; and it is not closed and he looks; then there is no sin on him; the sin is only on the inhabitants of the house.
