  Narrated Abu Huraira: The people say that Abu Huraira narrates too many narrations. In fact Allah knows whether I say the truth or not. They also ask; Why do the emigrants and the Ansar not narrate as he does? In fact; my emigrant brethren were busy trading in the markets; and my Ansar brethren were busy with their properties. I was a poor man keeping the company of Allah Messenger ﷺ and was satisfied with what filled my stomach. So; I used to be present while they i.e. the emigrants and the Ansar were absent; and I used to remember while they forgot the Hadith. One day the Prophet ﷺ said; Whoever spreads his sheet till I finish this statement of mine and then gathers it on his chest; will never forget anything of my statement. So; I spread my covering sheet which was the only garment I had; till the Prophet ﷺ finished his statement and then I gathered it over my chest. By Him Who had sent him i.e. Allah Apostle with the truth; since then I did not forget even a single word of that statement of his; until this day of mine. By Allah; but for two verses in Allah Book; I would never have related any narration from the Prophet. These two verses are : Verily! I ate no leavened bread and dressed no decorated striped clothes; and never did a man or a woman serve me; and I often used to press my belly against gravel because of hunger; and I used to ask a man to recite a Quranic Verse to me although I knew it; so that he would take me to his home and feed me. And the most generous of all the people to the poor was Jafar Bin Abi Talib. He used to take us to his home and offer us what was available therein. He would even offer us an empty folded leather container of butter which we would split and lick whatever was in it.

Some of them said to the others: Let us go to this Prophet; for he has been sent with an easy law. If he gives a judgment lighter than stoning; we shall accept it; and argue about it with Allah; saying: It is a judgment of one of your prophets. So they came to the Prophet ﷺ who was sitting in the Masjid among his companions. They said: AbulQasim; what do you think about a man and a woman who committed fornication? He did not speak to them a word till he went to their school. He stood at the gate and said: I adjure you by Allah Who revealed the Torah to Moses; what punishment do you find in the Torah for a person who commits fornication; if he is married? They said: He shall be blackened with charcoal; taken round a donkey among the people; and flogged. A young man among them kept silent. When the Prophet ﷺ emphatically adjured him; he said: By Allah; since you have adjured us we inform you that we find stoning in the Torah is the punishment for fornication. The Prophet ﷺ said: So when did you lessen the severity of Allah command? He said: A relative of one of our kings had committed fornication; but his stoning was suspended. Then a man of a family of common people committed fornication. He was to have been stoned; but his people intervened and said: Our man shall not be stoned until you bring your man and stone him. So they made a compromise on this punishment between them. The Prophet ﷺ said: So I decide in accordance with what the Torah says. He then commanded regarding them and they were stoned to death. AlZuhri said: We have been informed that this verse was revealed about them: It was We Who revealed the Law to Moses : therein was guidance and light. By its standard have been judged the Jews; by the Prophet who bowed as in Islam to Allah will.

Hamal Bin Malik Bin AlNabighah AlHudhali said: Messenger of Allah ! how should I be fined for one who has not drunk; or eaten or spoken; or raised his voice? - adding that compensation is not to be paid for such an offense. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: This man simply belong to the soothsayers on account of his rhymed prose which he has used.

He added to the words when he bowed along with those who were with him and prostrated the words when they stood up; they retraced their footsteps to the rows of their companions. Some people will say: Appeal to your father; Adam. They will go to him and say: O Adam! You are the father of all mankind; and Allah created you with His Own Hands; and ordered the angels to prostrate for you; and made you live in Paradise. Will you not intercede for us with your Lord? Dont you see in what miserable state we are; and to what condition we have reached? On that Adam will reply; My Lord is so angry as He has never been before and will never be in the future; besides ; He forbade me to eat from the tree; but I disobeyed Him ; I am worried about myself! Myself! Go to somebody else; go to Noah. They will go to Noah and say; O Noah! You are the first amongst the messengers of Allah to the people of the earth; and Allah named you a thankful slave. Dont you see in what a miserable state we are and to what condition we have reached? Will you not intercede for us with your Lord? Noah will reply: Today my Lord has become so angry as he had never been before and will never be in the future Myself! Myself! Go to the Prophet Muhammad. The people will come to me; and I will prostrate myself underneath Allah Throne. Then I will be addressed: O Muhammad! Raise your head; intercede; for your intercession will be accepted; and ask for anything. for you will be given.

  Narrated Abu Huraira: We witnessed along with Allah Messenger ﷺ the Khaibar campaign. Allah Messenger ﷺ told his companions about a man who claimed to be a Muslim; This man is from the people of the Fire. When the battle started; the man fought very bravely and received a great number of wounds and got crippled. On that; a man from among the companions of the Prophet ﷺ came and said; O Allah Apostle! Do you know what the man you described as of the people of the Fire has done? He has fought very bravely for Allah Cause and he has received many wounds. The Prophet ﷺ said; But he is indeed one of the people of the Fire. Some of the Muslims were about to have some doubt about that statement. So while the man was in that state; the pain caused by the wounds troubled him so much that he put his hand into his quiver and took out an arrow and committed suicide with it. Off went some men from among the Muslims to Allah Messenger ﷺ and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Allah has made your statement true. So-and-so has committed suicide. Allah Messenger ﷺ said; O Bilal! Get up and announce in public: None will enter Paradise but a believer; and Allah may support this religion Islam with a wicked man.

  Narrated Abu Huraira: We witnessed the battle of Khaibar. Allah Messenger ﷺ said about one of those who were with him and who claimed to be a Muslim. This man is from the dwellers of the Hell-Fire. When the battle started; that fellow fought so violently and bravely that he received plenty of wounds. Some of the people were about to doubt the Prophet statement ; but the man; feeling the pain of his wounds; put his hand into his quiver and took out of it; some arrows with which he slaughtered himself i.e. committed suicide. Then some men amongst the Muslims came hurriedly and said; O Allah Apostle! Allah has made your statement true so-and-so has committed suicide. The Prophet ﷺ said; O so-and-so! Get up and make an announcement that none but a believer will enter Paradise and that Allah may support the religion with an unchaste evil wicked man.

Abu Bakr said; By Allah; I will fight him who discriminates between Zakat and prayers; for Zakat is the Compulsory right to be taken from the wealth By Allah; if they refuse to give me even a tying rope which they use to give to Allah Messenger ﷺ ; I would fight them for withholding it.   Narrated Abu Huraira: When Allah gave victory to His Apostle over the people of Mecca; Allah Messenger ﷺ stood up among the people and after glorifying Allah; said; Allah has prohibited fighting in Mecca and has given authority to His Apostle and the believers over it; so fighting was illegal for anyone before me; and was made legal for me for a part of a day; and it will not be legal for anyone after me. Its game should not be chased; its thorny bushes should not be uprooted; and picking up its fallen things is not allowed except for one who makes public announcement for it; and he whose relative is murdered has the option either to accept a compensation for it or to retaliate. AlAbbas said; Except AlIdhkhir; for we use it in our graves and houses. Allah Messenger ﷺ said; Except AlIdhkhir. Abu Shah; a Yemenite; stood up and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Get it written for me. Allah Messenger ﷺ said; Write it for Abu Shah. The sub-narrator asked AlAuzai : What did he mean by saying; Get it written; O Allah Apostle? He replied; The speech which he had heard from Allah Messenger ﷺ.

A slave of mine ran away on the way. When I reached the Prophet ﷺ I gave him the oath of allegiance for Islam ; and while I was sitting with him; suddenly the slave appeared.   Narrated Abu Huraira: When Khaibar was conquered; a roasted poisoned sheep was presented to the Prophet ﷺ as a gift by the Jews. The Prophet ﷺ ordered; Let all the Jews who have been here; be assembled before me. The Jews were collected and the Prophet ﷺ said to them ; I am going to ask you a question. Will you tell the truth? They said; Yes. The Prophet ﷺ asked; Who is your father? They replied; So-and-so. He said; You have told a lie; your father is so-and-so. They said; You are right. He said; Will you now tell me the truth; if I ask you about something? They replied; Yes; O Abu AlQasim; and if we should tell a lie; you can realize our lie as you have done regarding our father. On that he asked; Who are the people of the Hell Fire? They said; We shall remain in the Hell Fire for a short period; and after that you will replace us. The Prophet ﷺ said; You may be cursed and humiliated in it! By Allah; we shall never replace you in it. Then he asked; Will you now tell me the truth if I ask you a question? They said; Yes; O Abu AlQasim. He asked; Have you poisoned this sheep? They said; Yes. He asked; What made you do so? They said; We wanted to know if you were a liar in which case we would get rid of you; and if you are a prophet then the poison would not harm you.
