    Narrated Abu Said: We practiced Itikaf with Allah Messenger ﷺ in the middle ten days of Ramadan. In the morning of the twentieth of Ramadan we shifted our baggage; but Allah Messenger ﷺ came to us and said; Whoever was m Itikaf should return to his place of Itikaf; for I saw i.e. was informed about the date of this Night of Qadr and saw myself prostrating in mud and water. When I returned to my place the sky was overcast with clouds and it rained. By Him Who sent Muhammad with the Truth; the sky was covered with clouds from the end of that day; and the Masjid which was roofed with leafstalks of date palm trees leaked with rain and I saw the trace of mud and water over the nose of the Prophet ﷺ and its tip.

    Narrated Abu Said: While the Prophet ﷺ was distributing something; Abdullah Bin Dhi AlKhawaisira AlTamimi came and said; Be just; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! The Prophet ﷺ said; Woe to you ! Who would be just if I were not? Umar Bin AlKhattab said; Allow me to cut off his neck ! The Prophet ﷺ said; Leave him; for he has companions; and if you compare your prayers with their prayers and your fasting with theirs; you will look down upon your prayers and fasting; in comparison to theirs. Yet they will go out of the religion as an arrow darts through the game body in which case; if the Qudhadh of the arrow is examined; nothing will be found on it; and when its Nasl is examined; nothing will be found on it; and then its Nadiyi is examined; nothing will be found on it. The arrow has been too fast to be smeared by dung and blood. The sign by which these people will be recognized will be a man whose one hand or breast will be like the breast of a woman or like a moving piece of flesh. These people will appear when there will be differences among the people Muslims. Abu Saeed added: I testify that I heard this from the Prophet ﷺ and also testify that Ali killed those people while I was with him. The man with the description given by the Prophet ﷺ was brought to Ali. A man from the Muslims pursued a man of them; and struck him but missed him. He struck himself with the sword. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Your brother; O group of Muslims. The people hastened towards him; but found him dead. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ wrapped him with his clothes and his blood; and offered funeral prayer for him and buried him. They said: Messenger of Allah; is he a martyr? He said: Yes; and I am witness to him.

    Narrated Abu Salama Bin Abdulrahman Abu Huraira said; I heard Allah Messenger ﷺ saying; The reward of a prayer in congregation is twenty five times greater than that of a prayer offered by a person alone. The angels of the night and the angels of the day gather at the time of Fajr prayer. Abu Huraira then added; Recite the Holy Book if you wish; for Indeed; the recitation of the Quran in the early dawn Fajr prayer is ever witnessed. 17:78.

    Narrated Abu Salama Bin Abdulrahman I asked Abu Saeed AlKhudri; Did you hear Allah Messenger ﷺ talking about the Night of Qadr? He replied in the affirmative and said; Once we were in Itikaf with Allah Messenger ﷺ in the middle ten days of Ramadan and we came out of it in the morning of the twentieth; and Allah Messenger ﷺ delivered a sermon on the 20th of Ramadan and said; I was informed of the date of the Night of Qadr in my dream but had forgotten it. So; look for it in the odd nights of the last ten nights of the month of Ramadan. I saw myself prostrating in mud and water on that night as a sign of the Night of Qadr. So; whoever had been in Itikaf with Allah Messenger ﷺ should return for it. The people returned to the Masjid for Itikaf. There was no trace of clouds in the sky. But all of a sudden a cloud came and it rained. Then the prayer was established they stood for the prayer and Allah Messenger ﷺ prostrated in mud and water and I saw mud over the forehead and the nose of the Prophet.

    Narrated Abu Salama Bin Abdulrahman That he asked Aisha How was the prayer of Allah Messenger ﷺ in the month of Ramadan? She replied; He used not to pray more than eleven rakat whether in Ramadan or in any other month. He used to offer four rakat; let alone their beauty and length; and then four rakat; let alone their beauty and length. Afterwards he would offer three rakat. I said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Do you go to bed before offering the witr prayer? He said; My eyes sleep; but my heart does not sleep.

  • Narrated Abu Salama: A man came to Ibn Abb
    Narrated Abu Salama: A man came to Ibn Abbas while Abu Huraira was sitting with him and said; Give me your verdict regarding a lady who delivered a baby forty days after the death of her husband. Ibn Abbas said; This indicates the end of one of the two prescribed periods. I said For those who are pregnant; their prescribed period is until they deliver their burdens. Abu Huraira said; I agree with my cousin Abu Salama. Then Ibn Abbas sent his slave; Kuraib to Umm Salamah to ask her regarding this matter. She replied. The husband of Subaia AlAslamiya was killed while she was pregnant; and she delivered a baby forty days after his death. Then her hand was asked in marriage and Allah Messenger ﷺ married her to somebody. Abu AlSanabil was one of those who asked for her hand in marriage.

In the morning of the 20th of Ramadan; the Prophet ﷺ came and addressed us and said; I was informed of the date of the Night of Qadr but I was caused to forget it; so search for it in the odd nights of the last ten nights of the month of Ramadan. In the dream I saw myself prostrating in mud and water as a sign. So; whoever was in Itikaf with me should return to it with me for another 10-day period ; and we returned. At that time there was no sign of clouds in the sky but suddenly a cloud came and it rained till rainwater started leaking through the roof of the Masjid which was made of date-palm leaf stalks. Then the prayer was established and I saw Allah Messenger ﷺ prostrating in mud and water and I saw the traces of mud on his forehead.

    Narrated Abu Salama: I used to see a dream which would make me sick till I heard Abu Qatada saying; I too; used to see a dream which would make me sick till I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying; A good dream is from Allah; so if anyone of you saw a dream which he liked; he should not tell it to anybody except to the one whom he loves; and if he saw a dream which he disliked; then he should seek refuge with Allah from its evil and from the evil of Satan; and spit three times on his left and should not tell it to anybody; for it will not harm him.

    Narrated Abu Salama: Once I went to Abu Saeed AlKhudri and asked him; Wont you come with us to the date-palm trees to have a talk? So Abu Saeed went out and I asked him; Tell me what you heard from the Prophet ﷺ about the Night of Qadr. Abu Saeed replied; Once Allah Messenger ﷺ performed Itikaf seclusion on the first ten days of the month of Ramadan and we did the same with him. Gabriel came to him and said; The night you are looking for is ahead of you. So the Prophet ﷺ performed the Itikaf in the middle second ten days of the month of Ramadan and we too performed Itikaf with him. Gabriel came to him and said; The night which you are looking for is ahead of you. In the morning of the 20th of Ramadan the Prophet ﷺ delivered a sermon saying; Whoever has performed Itikaf with me should continue it. I have been shown the Night of Qadr; but have forgotten its date; but it is in the odd nights of the last ten nights. I saw in my dream that I was prostrating in mud and water. In those days the roof of the Masjid was made of branches of date-palm trees. At that time the sky was clear and no cloud was visible; but suddenly a cloud came and it rained. The Prophet ﷺ led us in the prayer and I saw the traces of mud on the forehead and on the nose of Allah Messenger ﷺ. So it was the confirmation of that dream.

    Narrated Abu Salama: That there was a dispute between him and some people about a piece of land. When he told Aisha about it; she said; O Abu Salama! Avoid taking the land unjustly; for the Prophet ﷺ said; Whoever usurps even one span of the land of somebody; his neck will be encircled with it down the seven earths.

He said: Then Bashir Ibn AlBara Ibn Marur AlAnsari died. He sent someone to call on the Jewess; and said to her when she came : What motivated you to do the work you have done? He then mentioned the rest of the tradition similar to the one mentioned by Jabir No. 4495. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then ordered regarding her and she was killed. But he Abu Salamah did not mention the matter of cupping.

    Narrated Abu Salamah: It was narrated from Abu Salamah that Abu Huraira said: I said: O Messenger of Allah; I am a young man and I fear hardship for myself; but I cannot afford to marry; should I castrate myself? The Prophet turned away from him until he said it three times. Then the Prophet said: O Abu Huraira; the pen is dried concerning what you are going to face; so it is up to you whether you castrate yourself or not.     Narrated Abu Salih Zakwan AlSamman: A man from Aslam tribe said: I was sitting with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. A man from among his Companions came and said: Messenger of Allah! I have been stung last night; and I could not sleep till morning. He asked: What was that? He replied: A scorpion. He said: Oh; had you said in the evening: I take refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He created; nothing would have harmed you; Allah willing.

    Narrated Abu Shihab: I left for Mecca for Hajj AlTamattu assuming Ihram for Umra. I reached Mecca three days before the day of Tarwiya 8th Dhu AlHijja. Some people of Mecca said to me; Your Hajj will be like the Hajj performed by the people of Mecca i.e. you will lose the superiority of assuming Ihram from the Miqat. So I went to Ata asking him his view about it. He said; Jabir Bin Abdullah narrated to me; I performed Hajj with Allah Messenger ﷺ on the day when he drove camels with him. The people had assumed Ihram for Hajj AlIfrad. The Prophet ﷺ ordered them to finish their Ihram after Tawaf round the Kaba; and between Safa and Marwa and to cut short their hair and then to stay there in Mecca as non-Muhrims till the day of Tarwiya i.e. 8th of Dhu AlHijja when they would assume Ihram for Hajj and they were ordered to make the Ihram with which they had come as for Umra only. They asked; How can we make it Umra Tamattu as we have intended to perform Hajj? The Prophet ﷺ said; Do what I have ordered you. Had I not brought the Hadi with me; I would have done the same; but I cannot finish my Ihram till the Hadi reaches its destination i.e. is slaughtered. So; they did what he ordered them to do.

    Narrated Abu Shuraih AlAdawi: My ears heard and my eyes saw the Prophet ﷺ when he spoke; Anybody who believes in Allah and the Last Day; should serve his neighbor generously; and anybody who believes in Allah and the Last Day should serve his guest generously by giving him his reward. It was asked. What is his reward; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ? He said; To be entertained generously for a day and a night with high quality of food and the guest has the right to be entertained for three days with ordinary food and if he stays longer; what he will be provided with will be regarded as Sadaqa a charitable gift. And anybody who believes in Allah and the Last Day should talk what is good or keep quiet i.e. abstain from all kinds of dirty and evil talks.

    Narrated Abu Shuraih AlKaabi Allah Messenger ﷺ said; Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day; should serve his guest generously. The guest reward is: To provide him with a superior type of food for a night and a day and a guest is to be entertained with food for three days; and whatever is offered beyond that; is regarded as something given in charity. And it is not lawful for a guest to stay with his host for such a long period so as to put him in a critical position.Narrated Malik:Similarly as above 156 adding; Who believes in Allah and the Last Day should talk what is good or keep quiet. i.e. abstain from dirty and evil talk; and should think before uttering.

    Narrated Abu Shuraih AlKaabi that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Indeed Allah made Makkah sacred; it was not made sacred by the people. Whoever believes in Allah; and the Last Day; then let them not shed blood in it; nor cut down any of its trees. If one tries to make an excuse by saying: It was made lawful for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ then indeed Allah made it lawful for me but He did not make it lawful for the people; and it was only made lawful for me for an hour of a day. Then it is returned to being sacred until the Day Of Judgment. Then; to you people of Khuzaah who killed this man from Hudhail: I am his Aqil; so whomever one of his relatives is killed after today; then his people have two options; either they have him killed; or they take the blood-money from him.

    Narrated Abu Shuraih AlKhuzai: My ears heard and my heart grasped the statement which the Prophet ﷺ said; The period for keeping one guest is three days and dont forget his reward. It was asked; What is his reward? He said; In the first night and the day he should be given a high class quality of meals; and whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day; should entertain his guest generously; and whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should talk what is good sense or keep quiet.

  • Narrated Abu Shuraih: AlAdawi that he said
    Narrated Abu Shuraih: AlAdawi that he said to Amr Bin Saeed while the latter was sending troops in batches to Mecca; O chief! Allow me to tell you a statement which Allah Messenger ﷺ said on the second day of the Conquest of Mecca. My two ears heard it and my heart remembered it and my two eyes saw him when he said it. He i.e. the Prophet praised Allah and then said; Mecca has been made a sanctuary by Allah and not by the people; so it is not lawful for a person; who believes in Allah and the Last Day to shed blood in it; or to cut its trees and if someone asks the permission to fight in Mecca because Allah Apostle was allowed to fight in it; say to him; Allah permitted His Apostle and did not allow you; and even he i.e. the Apostle was allowed for a short period of the day; and today its Mecca sanctity has become the same as it was before of old so those who are present should inform those who are absent this Hadith. Then Abu Shuraih; was asked; What did Amr say to you? Abu Shuraih said; He said; I knew that better than you; O Abu Shuraih! The Haram i.e. Mecca does not give refuge to a sinner or a fleeing murderer or a person running away after causing destruction.

  • Narrated Abu Shurayb AlKaabi The Prophet ﷺ said: Then you; Khuzaah; have killed this man of Hudhayl; but I will pay his blood-wit. After these words of mine if a man of anyone is killed; his people will have a choice to accept blood-wit or to kill him.  +
