    Narrated Anas: Haritha was martyred on the day of the battle of Badr; and he was a young boy then. His mother came to the Prophet ﷺ and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! You know how dear Haritha is to me. If he is in Paradise; I shall remain patient; and hope for reward from Allah; but if it is not so; then you shall see what I do? He said; May Allah be merciful to you! Have you lost your senses? Do you think there is only one Paradise? There are many Paradises and your son is in the most superior Paradise of AlFirdaus.

  • Narrated Anas: His uncle Anas Bin AlNadr w
    Narrated Anas: His uncle Anas Bin AlNadr was absent from the battle of Badr and he said; I was absent from the first battle of the Prophet i.e. Badr battle ; and if Allah should let me participate in a battle with the Prophet; Allah will see how strongly I will fight. So he encountered the day of Uhud battle. The Muslims fled and he said; O Allah ! I appeal to You to excuse me for what these people i.e. the Muslims have done; and I am clear from what the pagans have done. Then he went forward with his sword and met Sad Bin Muadh fleeing ; and asked him; Where are you going; O Sad? I detect a smell of Paradise before Uhud. Then he proceeded on and was martyred. No-body was able to recognize him till his sister recognized him by a mole on his body or by the tips of his fingers. He had over 80 wounds caused by stabbing; striking or shooting with arrows.

  • Narrated Anas: I know about the Hijab the
    Narrated Anas: I know about the Hijab the order of veiling of women more than anybody else. Ubai Bin Kaab used to ask me about it. Allah Messenger ﷺ became the bridegroom of Zainab bint Jahsh whom he married at Medina. After the sun had risen high in the sky; the Prophet ﷺ invited the people to a meal. Allah Apostle remained sitting and some people remained sitting with him after the other guests had left. Then Allah Messenger ﷺ got up and went away; and I too; followed him till he reached the door of Aisha room. Then he thought that the people must have left the place by then; so he returned and I also returned with him. Behold; the people were still sitting at their places. So he went back again for the second time; and I went along with him too. When we reached the door of Aisha room; he returned and I also returned with him to see that the people had left. Thereupon the Prophet ﷺ hung a curtain between me and him and the Verse regarding the order for veiling of women Hijab was revealed.

Allah Messenger ﷺ ordered somebody to announce that alcoholic drinks had been prohibited. Abu Talha ordered me to go out and spill the wine. I went out and spilled it; and it flowed in the streets of Medina. Some people said; Some people were killed and wine was still in their stomachs. On that the Divine revelation came:- On those who believe And do good deeds There is no blame For what they ate in the past. 5.93

News of that reached the Messenger of Allah and he praised Allah then said: What is the matter with people who say such and such?     Narrated Anas: It was said to the Prophet ﷺ Would that you see Abdullah Bin Ubai. So; the Prophet ﷺ went to him; riding a donkey; and the Muslims accompanied him; walking on salty barren land. When the Prophet ﷺ reached Abdullah Bin Ubai; the latter said; Keep away from me! By Allah; the bad smell of your donkey has harmed me. On that an Ansari man said to Abdullah ; By Allah! The smell of the donkey of Allah Messenger ﷺ is better than your smell. On that a man from Abdullah tribe got angry for Abdullah sake; and the two men abused each other which caused the friends of the two men to get angry; and the two groups started fighting with sticks; shoes and hands. We were informed that the following Divine Verse was revealed in this concern :- And if two groups of Believers fall to fighting then; make peace between them. 49.9

Then a painted stove pot Mikhdab containing water was brought to Allah Messenger ﷺ s The pot was small; not broad enough for one to spread one hand in; yet all the people performed ablution. The sub narrator said; We asked Anas; How many persons were you? Anas replied We were eighty or more. It was one of the miracles of Allah Messenger ﷺ.

I returned and said; He says; And those who are with me? Abu Talha went out to him and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! It is just a meal prepared by Um Sulaim. The Prophet ﷺ entered and the food was brought to him. He said; Let ten persons enter upon me. Those ten entered and ate their fill. Again he said; Let ten more enter upon me. Those ten entered and ate their fill. Then he said; Let ten more enter upon me. He called forty persons in all Then Allah Messenger ﷺ ate and got up. I started looking at the food to see if it decreased or not.

  • Narrated Anas: My paternal uncle Anas Bin
    Narrated Anas: My paternal uncle Anas Bin AlNadr - after whom I was named - did not participate in the battle of Badr with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. This distressed him and he said: I was absent from the first battle which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ attended. By Allah! If Allah gives me the opportunity to participate in another battle along with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; then Allah will see what I will do! He said: He did not want to say more than that. A year later; he attended the battle of Uhud; where he saw Saad Bin Muadh and said: O Abu Amr where are you going? He said: I long for the fragrance of Paradise and I have found it near the mountains of Uhud. He fought them until he was killed. They found more than eighty wounds on his body; be they from blows of a sword; puncture wounds; or arrows. My paternal aunt AlRubai Bin AlNadr said: I could not recognize my brother except by his finger tips. And this Ayah was revealed: Among the believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allah; of them some have fulfilled their vow; and some of them are still waiting; but they have never changed in the least 33:23.

    Narrated Anas: My uncle Anas Bin AlNadr was absent from the Battle of Badr. He said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! I was absent from the first battle you fought against the pagans. By Allah if Allah gives me a chance to fight the pagans; no doubt. Allah will see how bravely I will fight. On the day of Uhud when the Muslims turned their backs and fled; he said; O Allah! I apologize to You for what these i.e. his companions have done; and I denounce what these i.e. the pagans have done. Then he advanced and Saad Bin Muadh met him. He said O Saad Bin Muadh ! By the Lord of AlNadr; Paradise! I am smelling its aroma coming from before the mountain of Uhud; Later on Saad said; O Allah Apostle! I cannot achieve or do what he i.e. Anas Bin AlNadr did. We found more than eighty wounds by swords and arrows on his body. We found him dead and his body was mutilated so badly that none except his sister could recognize him by his fingers. We used to think that the following Verse was revealed concerning him and other men of his sort: Among the believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allah.......... 33.23 His sister AlRubbaya broke a front tooth of a woman and Allah Messenger ﷺ ordered for retaliation. On that Anas bin AlNadr said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! By Him Who has sent you with the Truth; my sister tooth shall not be broken. Then the opponents of Anas sister accepted the compensation and gave up the claim of retaliation. So Allah Messenger ﷺ said; There are some people amongst Allah slaves whose oaths are fulfilled by Allah when they take them.

Once I took barley bread with some dissolved fat on it to the Prophet ﷺ and I heard him saying; The household of Muhammad did not possess except a Sa of food grain; barley; etc. for both the morning and the evening meals although they were nine houses.

    Narrated Anas: On the day of the Conquest of Mecca; when the Prophet ﷺ had given from the booty the Quraish; the Ansar said; By Allah; this is indeed very strange: While our swords are still dribbling with the blood of Quraish; our war booty are distributed amongst them. When this news reached the Prophet ﷺ he called the Ansar and said; What is this news that has reached me from you? They used not to tell lies; so they replied; What has reached you is true. He said; Doesnt it please you that the people take the booty to their homes and you take Allah Messenger ﷺ to your homes? If the Ansar took their way through a valley or a mountain pass; I would take the Ansar valley or a mountain pass.

    Narrated Anas: On the day of the battle of Uhad when some people retreated and left the Prophet; I saw Aisha bint Abu Bakr and Um Sulaim; with their robes tucked up so that the bangles around their ankles were visible hurrying with their water skins in another narration it is said; carrying the water skins on their backs. Then they would pour the water in the mouths of the people; and return to fill the water skins again and came back again to pour water in the mouths of the people.

  • Narrated Anas: On the day of the battle of
    Narrated Anas: On the day of the battle of Uhud; the people ran away; leaving the Prophet ﷺ ; but Abu Talha was shielding the Prophet ﷺ with his shield in front of him. Abu Talha was a strong; experienced archer who used to keep his arrow bow strong and well stretched. On that day he broke two or three arrow bows. If any man passed by carrying a quiver full of arrows; the Prophet ﷺ would say to him; Empty it in front of Abu Talha. When the Prophet ﷺ stated looking at the enemy by raising his head; Abu Talha said; O Allah Prophet! Let my parents be sacrificed for your sake! Please dont raise your head and make it visible; lest an arrow of the enemy should hit you. Let my neck and chest be wounded instead of yours. On that day I saw Aisha; the daughter of Abu Bakr and Um Sulaim both lifting their dresses up so that I was able to see the ornaments of their legs; and they were carrying the water skins of their arms to pour the water into the mouths of the thirsty people and then go back and fill them and come to pour the water into the mouths of the people again. On that day Abu Talha sword fell from his hand twice or thrice.

    Narrated Anas: On the day of the battle of the Trench; the Ansar were saying; We are those who have sworn allegiance to Muhammad for Jihaid for ever as long as we live.     Narrated Anas: Once Allah Messenger ﷺ visited us in this house of ours and asked for something to drink. We milked one of our sheep and mixed it with water from this well of ours and gave it to him. Abu Bakr was sitting on his left side and Umar in front of him and a bedouin on his right side. When Allah Messenger ﷺ finished; Umar said to Allah Messenger ﷺ Here is Abu Bakr. But Allah Messenger ﷺ gave the remaining milk to the bedouin and said twice; The persons on the right side! So; start from the right side. Anas added; It is a Sunna the Prophet traditions and repeated it thrice.

So while the Prophet was delivering a sermon on a Friday a man got up saying; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! The horses and sheep have perished. Will you invoke Allah to bless us with rain? The Prophet ﷺ lifted both his hands and invoked. The sky at that time was as clear as glass. Suddenly a wind blew; raising clouds that gathered together; and it started raining heavily. We came out of the Masjid wading through the flowing water till we reached our homes. It went on raining till the next Friday; when the same man or some other man stood up and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! The houses have collapsed; please invoke Allah to withhold the rain. On that the Prophet ﷺ smiled and said; O Allah; let it rain around us and not on us. I then looked at the clouds to see them separating forming a sort of a crown round Medina.
