So; the fish; was made; as a sign for him; and he was told that when the fish was lost; he should return and there he would meet him. So; Moses went on looking for the sign of the fish in the sea. The servant boy of Moses said to him; Do you know that when we were sitting by the side of the rock; I forgot the fish; and t was only Satan who made me forget to tell you about it. Moses said; That was what we were seeking after; and both of them returned; following their footmarks and found Khadir; and what happened further to them; is mentioned in Allah Book.

Then he got up and went to a hanging water skin; performed ablution from it -- and performed it perfectly. Then he stood up to perform the prayer. I also did the same as he had done and then went to stand beside him. Allah Messenger ﷺ put his right hand on my head and held and twisted my right ear. He then offered two rakat; then two rakat then two rakat; then two then two rakat; then two rakat; and finally; one raka witr. Then lay down again till the Muadhdhin i.e. the call-maker came to him; whereupon he got up and offered a light two rakat prayer and went out to the Masjid and offered the compulsory congregational Fajr prayer.
