But that time Allah Messenger ﷺ stretched his hand towards the meat of the mastigure whereupon a lady from among those who were present; said; You should inform Allah Messenger ﷺ of what you have presented to him. O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! It is the meat of a mastigure. On learning that Allah Messenger ﷺ withdrew his hand from the meat of the mastigure. Khalid Bin AlWalid said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Is this unlawful to eat? Allah Messenger ﷺ replied; No; but it is not found in the land of my people; so I do not like it. Allah Messenger ﷺ said; As for him; by Allah; death has come to him. By Allah; I wish him all good from Allah. By Allah; though I am Allah Messenger ﷺ ; I neither know what will happen to me; nor to you. Um AlAla said; By Allah; I will never attest the righteousness of anybody after that. She added; Later I saw in a dream; a flowing spring for Uthman. So I went to Allah Messenger ﷺ and mentioned that to him. He said; That is the symbol of his good deeds the reward for which is going on for him.the reward for which is going on for him. +

Then he went towards a hanging leather watercontainer and performed a perfect ablution and then stood up for prayer. Abdullah Bin Abbas added; I got up and did the same as Allah Messenger ﷺ had done and then went and stood by his side. Allah Messenger ﷺ then put his right hand over my head and caught my right ear and twisted it. He offered two rakat; then two rakat; then two rakat; then two rakat; then two rakat; then two rakat and then offered one raka witr. Then he lay down till the Muadh-dhin came and then he prayed two light rakat and went out and offered the early morning Fajr prayer.and offered the early morning Fajr prayer. +
- Narrated Kuraib: I was sent to Aisha by Ib … Narrated Kuraib: I was sent to Aisha by Ibn Abbas; AlMiswar Bin Makhrama and Abdulrahman Bin Azhar. They told me to greet her on their behalf and to ask her about the offering of the two rakat after the Asr prayer and to say to her; We were informed that you offer those two rakat and we were told that the Prophet had forbidden offering them. Ibn Abbas said; I along with Umar Bin AlKhattab used to beat the people whenever they offered them. I went to Aisha and told her that message. Aisha said; Go and ask Umm Salamah about them. So I returned and informed them about her statement. They then told me to go to Umm Salamah with the same question with which t sent me to Aisha. Umm Salamah replied; I heard the Prophet ﷺ forbidding them. Later I saw him offering them immediately after he prayed the Asr prayer. He then entered my house at a time when some of the Ansari women from the tribe of Bani Haram were sitting with me; so I sent my slave girl to him having said to her; Stand beside him and tell him that Umm Salamah says to you; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! I have heard you forbidding the offering of these two rakat after the Asr prayer but I have seen you offering them. If he waves his hand then wait for him. The slave girl did that. The Prophet ﷺ beckoned her with his hand and she waited for him. When he had finished the prayer he said; O daughter of Bani Umaiya! You have asked me about the two rakat after the Asr prayer. The people of the tribe of Abd AlQais came to me and made me busy and I could not offer the two rakat after the Zuhr prayer. These two rakat that I have just prayed are for those missed ones.ave just prayed are for those missed ones. +
- Narrated Kuraib: Ibn Abbas said; The Proph … Narrated Kuraib: Ibn Abbas said; The Prophet ﷺ slept till he snored and then prayed or probably lay till his breath sounds were heard and then got up and prayed. Ibn Abbas added: I stayed overnight in the house of my aunt; Maimuna; the Prophet ﷺ slept for a part of the night; See Fath AlBari page 249; Vol. 1 ; and late in the night; he got up and performed ablution from a hanging water skin; a light perfect ablution and stood up for the prayer. I; too; performed a similar ablution; then I went and stood on his left. He drew me to his right and prayed as much as Allah wished; and again lay and slept till his breath sounds were heard. Later on the Muadh-dhin call maker for the prayer came to him and informed him that it was time for Prayer. The Prophet ﷺ went with him for the prayer without performing a new ablution. Sufyan said to Amr that some people said; The eyes of Allah Messenger ﷺ sleep but his heart does not sleep. The moon of Ramadan appeared while I was in Syria. We sighted the moon on the night of Friday. When I came to Median towards the end of the month of Ramadan ; Ibn Abbas asked me about the moon. He said: When did you sight the moon ? I said: I sighted it on the night of Friday. He asked: Did you sight it yourself ? I said: Yes; and the people sighted it. They fasted and Muawiyah also fasted. He said: But we sighted it on the night of saturday. Since then we have been fasting until we complete thirty days or we sight it. Then I said: Are the sighting of the moon by Muawiyah and his fasts not sufficient for us? He replied: No. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded us to do so.essenger of Allah ﷺ commanded us to do so. +

They said: Convey our regards to her from all of us and ask her about the two rakahs after the Asr prayer; and tell her that we have been informed that she prays them; and we are told that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited them. I entered upon her and told her that for which they had sent me to her. She said: Ask Umm Salamah. I returned to them Ibn Abbas and others and informed them about her opinion. They sent me back to Umm Salamah with the same mission for which they had sent me to Aishah. Umm Salamah said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibiting them; but later on I saw him praying them. When he prayed them; he had offered the Asr prayer. He then came to me while a number of women from Banu Haram from the Ansar were sitting with me. He prayed these two rakahs. I sent a slave girl to him and I told her: Stand beside him and tell him that Umm Salamah has asked: Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; I heard you prohibiting these two rakahs after the afternoon prayer but I see you praying them yourself. If he makes a sign with his hand; step backward from him. The slave girl did so. When he finished prayer; he said: O daughter of Abu Umayah; you asked about the praying of two rakahs after the Asr prayer; in fact; some people of Abd AlQais has come to me with the news that their people had embraced Islam. They hindered me from praying the two rakahs after Zuhr prayer. It is those two rakahs which I offered after the Asr prayerakahs which I offered after the Asr prayer +

When we reached the Prophet; we did not find him in his house. We found there Aisha; the Mother of the Believers. She ordered that a dish called Khazirah should be prepared for us. It was then prepared. A tray containing dates was then presented to us. The narrator Qutaybah did not mention the word qina; tray. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came. He asked: Has anything been served to you or ordered for you? We replied: Yes; Messenger of Allah. While we were sitting in the company of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ we suddenly saw that a shepherd was driving a herd of sheep to their fold. He had with him a newly-born lamb that was crying. He the Prophet asked him: What did it bear; O so and so? He replied: A ewe. He then said: Slaughter for us in its place a sheep. Do not think that we are slaughtering it for you. We have one hundred sheep and we do not want their number to increase. Whenever a ewe is born; we slaughter a sheep in its place. The narrator says that the Prophet ﷺ used the word la tahsabanna; do not think. I the narrator Laqit then said: Messenger of Allah; I have a wife who has something wrong in her tongue; i.e. she is insolent. He said: Then divorce her. I said: Messenger of Allah; she had company with me and I have children from her. He said: Then ask her to obey you. If there is something good in her; she will do so obey ; and do not beat your wife as you beat your slave-girl. I said: Messenger of Allah; tell me about ablution. He said: Perform ablution in full and make the fingers go through the beard and snuff with water well except when you are fasting.th water well except when you are fasting. +
