A golden tray full of wisdom and belief was brought to me and my body was cut open from the throat to the lower part of the Abdomen and then my Abdomen was washed with Zamzam water and my heart was filled with wisdom and belief. AlBuraq; a white animal; smaller than a mule and bigger than a donkey was brought to me and I set out with Gabriel. When I reached the nearest heaven. Gabriel said to the heaven gate-keeper; Open the gate. The gatekeeper asked; Who is it? He said; Gabriel. The gate-keeper; Who is accompanying you? Gabriel said; Muhammad. The gate-keeper said; Has he been called? Gabriel said; Yes. Then it was said; He is welcomed. What a wonderful visit his is! Then I met Adam and greeted him and he said; You are welcomed O son and a Prophet. Then we ascended to the second heaven. It was asked; Who is it? Gabriel said; Gabriel. It was said; Who is with you? Then we ascended to the 4th heaven and again the same questions and answers were exchanged as in the previous heavens. There I met Idris and greeted him. He said; You are welcomed O brother and Prophet. Then we ascended to the 5th heaven and again the same questions and answers were exchanged as in previous heavens. there I met and greeted Aaron who said; You are welcomed O brother and a Prophet. Then we ascended to the 6th heaven and again the same questions and answers were exchanged as in the previous heavens. Followers of this youth who was sent after me will enter Paradise in greater number than my followers. Then we ascended to the seventh heaven and again the same questions and answers were exchanged as in the previous heavens. There I met and greeted Abraham who said; You are welcomed o son and a Prophet. Then I was shown AlBait AlMamur i.e. Allah House. I asked Gabriel about it and he said; This is AlBait AlMamur where 70;000 angels perform prayers daily and when they leave they never return to it but always a fresh batch comes into it daily. Then I was shown Sidrat AlMuntaha i.e. a tree in the seventh heaven and I saw its Nabk fruits which resembled the clay jugs of Hajr i.e. a town in Arabia ; and its leaves were like the ears of elephants; and four rivers originated at its root; two of them were apparent and two were hidden. I asked Gabriel about those rivers and he said; The two hidden rivers are in Paradise; and the apparent ones are the Nile and the Euphrates. Then fifty prayers were enjoined on me. I descended till I met Moses who asked me; What have you done? I said; Fifty prayers have been enjoined on me. He said; I know the people better than you; because I had the hardest experience to bring Bani Israel to obedience. Your followers cannot put up with such obligation. So; return to your Lord and request Him to reduce the number of prayers. I returned and requested Allah for reduction and He made it forty. I returned and met Moses and had a similar discussion; and then returned again to Allah for reduction and He made it thirty; then twenty; then ten; and then I came to Moses who repeated the same advice. Ultimately Allah reduced it to five. When I came to Moses again; he said; What have you done? I said; Allah has made it five only. He repeated the same advice but I said that I surrendered to Allah Final Order Allah Messenger ﷺ was addressed by Allah; I have decreed My Obligation and have reduced the burden on My slaves; and I shall reward a single good deed as if it were ten good deeds.le good deed as if it were ten good deeds. +

Abu Dhar said; There was a quarrel between me and another man whose mother was a non-Arab and I called her bad names. The man mentioned complained about me to the Prophet. The Prophet ﷺ said; Did you abuse so-and-so? I said; Yes He said; Did you call his mother bad names? I said; Yes. He said; You still have the traits of the Pre-lslamic period of ignorance. I said. Do I still have ignorance even now in my old age? He said; Yes; they slaves or servants are your brothers; and Allah has put them under your command. So the one under whose hand Allah has put his brother; should feed him of what he eats; and give him dresses of what he wears; and should not ask him to do a thing beyond his capacity. And if at all he asks him to do a hard task; he should help him therein.o a hard task; he should help him therein. +

He said to them; This concerns also other people along with me as you see; and the best statement to me is the true one; so you may choose one of two alternatives; either the captives or the property and I have not distributed the booty for I have been waiting for you. When the Prophet ﷺ had returned from Taif; he waited for them for more than ten nights. When they came to know that the Prophet ﷺ would not return except one of the two; they chose their captives. The Prophet then stood up amongst the Muslims; Glorified and Praised Allah as He deserved; and then said; Then after: These brothers of yours have come to you with repentance and I see it proper to return their captives; so whoever amongst you likes to do that as a favor; then he can do it; and whoever of you wants to stick to his share till we pay him from the very first Fai i.e. war booty which Allah will give us; then he can do so. The people said; We return the captives to them willingly as a favor; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! The Prophet ﷺ said; I do not know who of you has given his consent and who has not; so go back and your leaders may present your decision to me. The people went away; and their leaders discussed the matter with them; and then came to the Prophet ﷺ to tell him that all of them had given their consent to return the captives willingly. So; you have the option of restoring your properties or your captives; for I have delayed distributing them. The narrator added; Allah Messenger ﷺ c had been waiting for them for more than ten days on his return from Taif. When they realized that Allah Apostle would return to them only one of two things; they said; We choose our captives. So; Allah Apostle got up in the gathering of the Muslims; praised Allah as He deserved; and said; Then after! These brethren of yours have come to you with repentance and I see it proper to return their captives to them. So; whoever amongst you likes to do that as a favor; then he can do it; and whoever of you wants to stick to his share till we pay him from the very first booty which Allah will give us then he can do so. The people replied; We agree to give up our shares willingly as a favor for Allah Apostle. Then Allah Messenger ﷺ said; We dont know who amongst you has agreed and who hasnt. Go back and your chiefs may tell us your opinion. So; all of them returned and their chiefs discussed the matter with them and then they i.e. their chiefs came to Allah Messenger ﷺ to tell him that they i.e. the people had given up their shares gladly and willingly.iven up their shares gladly and willingly. +

So; when those people came to know that Allah Messenger ﷺ was not going to return to them except one of the two things the said; We choose our war Prisoners Allah Messenger ﷺ stood up amongst the Muslims; and after glorifying Allah as He deserved; he said; Now then; these brothers of yours have come to us with repentance; and I see it logical that I should return their captives to them; so whoever of you likes to do that as a favor then he can do it; and whoever amongst you likes to stick to his share; let him give up his prisoners and we will compensate him from the very first Fai i.e. war booty received without fight which Allah will give us. On that; all the people said. O Allah Messenger ﷺ s We have agreed willingly to do so return the captives Then Allah Messenger ﷺ said to them I do not know who amongst you has agreed to this and who has not. You should return and let your leaders inform me of your agreement. The people returned and their leaders spoke to them; and then came to Allah Apostle and said; All the people have agreed willingly to do so and have given the permission to return the war prisoners without Compensation AlZuhri; the sub-narrator states This is what has been related to us about the captives of Hawazin.lated to us about the captives of Hawazin. +

The Prophet ﷺ stood up and said to them; I have other people with me in this matter as you see and the most beloved statement to me is the true one; you may choose either the properties or the prisoners as I have delayed their distribution. The Prophet ﷺ had waited for them for more than ten days since his arrival from Taif. So; when it became evident to them that the Prophet ﷺ was not going to return them except one of the two; they said; We choose our prisoners. The Prophet got up amongst the people and glorified and praised Allah as He deserved and said; Then after; these brethren of yours have come to us with repentance; and I see it logical to return them the captives. So; whoever amongst you likes to do that as a favor; then he can do it; and whoever of you likes to stick to his share till we recompense him from the very first war booty which Allah will give us; then he can do so i.e. give up the present captives. The people unanimously said; We do that return the captives willingly. The Prophet ﷺ said; We do not know which of you has agreed to it and which have not; so go back and let your leaders forward us your decision. So; all the people then went back and discussed the matter with their leaders who returned and informed the Prophet ﷺ that all the people had willingly given their consent to return the captives. This is what has reached us about the captives of Hawazin. Narrated Anas that Abbas said to the Prophet; I paid for my ransom and Aqil ransom.het; I paid for my ransom and Aqil ransom. +
- Narrated Marwan and AlMiswar Bin Makhrama: … Narrated Marwan and AlMiswar Bin Makhrama: from the companions of Allah Messenger ﷺ When Suhail Bin Amr agreed to the Treaty of Hudaibiya ; one of the things he stipulated then; was that the Prophet ﷺ should return to them i.e. the pagans anyone coming to him from their side; even if he was a Muslim; and would not interfere between them and that person. The Muslims did not like this condition and got disgusted with it. Suhail did not agree except with that condition. So; the Prophet ﷺ agreed to that condition and returned Abu Jandal to his father Suhail Bin Amr. Thenceforward the Prophet ﷺ returned everyone in that period of truce even if he was a Muslim. During that period some believing women emigrants including Um Kulthum bint Uqba Bin Abu Muait who came to Allah Messenger ﷺ and she was a young lady then. Her relative came to the Prophet ﷺ and asked him to return her; but the Prophet ﷺ did not return her to them for Allah had revealed the following Verse regarding women: O you who believe! When the believing women come to you as emigrants. Examine them; Allah knows best as to their belief; then if you know them for true believers; Send them not back to the unbelievers; for they are not lawful wives for the disbelievers; Nor are the unbelievers lawful husbands for them 60.10unbelievers lawful husbands for them 60.10 +

So when they came to know that Allah Messenger ﷺ was not going to return to them but one of the two; they said; We prefer to have our captives. So Allah Messenger ﷺ got up amongst the Muslims; and praising Allah as He deserved; said; To proceed! Your brothers have come to you with repentance and I see it logical to return their captives. So; whoever of you likes to do that as a favor then he can do it. And whoever of you likes to stick to his share till we give him from the very first booty which Allah will give us; then he can do so. The people said; We do that i.e. return the captives willingly as a favor; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Allah Messenger ﷺ said; We do not know which of you have agreed to it and which have not; so go back and let your chiefs forward us your decision. They went back and their chief spoke to them; and they i.e. the chiefs returned to Allah Messenger ﷺ and informed him that all of them had agreed to give up their captives with pleasure; and had given their permission i.e. that the captives be returned to their people. The sub-narrator said; That is what has reached me about the captives of Hawazin tribe.ed me about the captives of Hawazin tribe. +

Um Ruman said to her; What is the matter? She replied; My son was amongst those who talked of the story of the Slander. Um Ruman said; What is that? She said; So-and-so.... and narrated the whole story. On that Aisha said; Did Allah Apostle hear about that? She replies; yes. Aisha further said; And Abu Bakr too? She replied; Yes. On that; Aisha fell down fainting; and when she came to her senses; she had got fever with rigors. I put her clothes over her and covered her. The Prophet ﷺ came and asked; What is wrong with this lady ? Um Ruman replied; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! She i.e. Aisha has got temperature with rigors. He said; Perhaps it is because of the story that has been talked about? She said; Yes. Aisha sat up and said; By Allah; if I took an oath that I am innocent ; you would not believe me; and if I said that I am not innocent ; you would not excuse me. My and your example is like that of Jacob and his sons as Jacob said : It is Allah Alone Whose Help can be sought against that you assert. Um Ruman said; The Prophet ﷺ then went out saying nothing. Then Allah declared her innocence. On that; Aisha said to the Prophet ; I thank Allah only; thank neither anybody else nor you.only; thank neither anybody else nor you. +

When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw that the Quraish were behaving stubbornly with him; he said: O Allah! Assist me against them with seven years of famine like the seven of Yousif. So He punished them with drought making everything barren; until they ate skins and carcasses - one of them said: bones. He said: And it appeared that smoke was coming out of the earth. So Abu Sufyan came to him and said: Verily your people are being destroyed; so supplicate to Allah for them. He said: So this is about His saying: The Day when the sky will bring forth a visible smoke; covering the people; this is a painful torment 44:10 & 11. Mansur narrated it as: So this is about His saying: Our Lord! Remove the torment from us; really we shall become believers 44:12. - So shall the punishment be removed from them in the Hereafter? AlBatshah humiliated defeat in Badr ; AlLizam disbeliever captives from Badr ; the smoke; - one of them said: The moon the other said: The Romans have all passed.on the other said: The Romans have all passed. +

She replied; For he has spread the slanderous story. Aisha said; What story? The woman then told her the story. Aisha asked; Have Abu Bakr and Allah Messenger ﷺ heard about it ? She said; Yes. Aisha fell down senseless on hearing that ; and when she came to her senses; she got fever and shaking of the body. The Prophet ﷺ came and asked; What is wrong with her? I said; She has got fever because of a story which has been rumored. Aisha got up and said; By Allah! Even if I took an oath; you would not believe me; and if I put forward an excuse; You would not excuse me. My example and your example is just like that example of Jacob and his sons. Against that which you assert; it is Allah Alone Whose Help can be sought. 12.18 The Prophet ﷺ left and then Allah revealed the Verses concerning the matter ; and on that Aisha said; Thanks to Allah only and not to anybody else.nks to Allah only and not to anybody else. +
- Narrated Masruq: I came upon Abdullah and … Narrated Masruq: I came upon Abdullah and he said; When Allah Messenger ﷺ invited Quraish to Islam ; they disbelieved him and stood against him. So he the Prophet said; O Allah! Help me against them by afflicting them with seven years of famine similar to the seven years of Joseph. So they were stricken with a year of drought that destroyed everything; and they started eating dead animals; and if one of them got up he would see something like smoke between him and the sky from the severe fatigue and hunger. Abdullah then recited:- Then watch you for the Day that the sky will bring forth a kind of smoke plainly visible; covering the people. This is a painful torment... till he reached........ We shall indeed remove the punishment for a while; but truly you will revert to heathenism : 44.10-15 Abdullah added: Will the punishment be removed from them on the Day of Resurrection? He added; The severe grasp was the Day of the Battle of Badr.e grasp was the Day of the Battle of Badr. +

So he said: I shall indeed have wealth and offspring to repay you with. So the following Ayah was revealed: Have you seen him who disbelieved in Our Ayat and said: I shall certainly be given wealth and children 19:77.tainly be given wealth and children 19:77. +

Know that if somebody tells you one of the following three things; he is a liar: Whoever tells you that Muhammad saw his Lord; is a liar. Then Aisha recited the Verse: No vision can grasp Him; but His grasp is over all vision. He is the Most Courteous Well-Acquainted with all things. 6.103 It is not fitting for a human being that Allah should speak to him except by inspiration or from behind a veil. 42.51 Aisha further said; And whoever tells you that the Prophet knows what is going to happen tomorrow; is a liar. She then recited: No soul can know what it will earn tomorrow. 31.34 She added: And whoever tell you that he concealed some of Allah orders ; is a liar. Then she recited: O Apostle! Proclaim the Message which has been sent down to you from your Lord.. 5.67 Aisha added. But the Prophet ﷺ saw Gabriel in his true form twice.phet ﷺ saw Gabriel in his true form twice. +

There are three things; whoever speaks of one of them; then he has uttered one of the worst lies against Allah. Whoever claims that Muhammad saw his Lord. Then he has uttered one the worst lies against Allah; Allah says: No vision can grasp Him; but His grasp is over all vision; and He is the Most Subtle; Well-Acquainted with all things 6:103. It is not for any human being that Allah should speak to him unless it be by revelation or from behind a veil 42:91. I was reclining so I sat up an said: O Mother of the Believers! Take your time with me and do not be hasty with me! Did Allah Most High not say: And indeed he saw him at a second descent 53:13. And And indeed he saw him in the clear horizon 81:23. She said By Allah! I was the first who asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about this. He said: That was only Jibril. I did not see him in the appearance he was created in except for these two times. I saw him descending from the heavens; and due to his tremendous size he filled what was between the heavens and the earth. And whoever claimed that Muhammad hid anything that Allah revealed to him; then he uttered one of the worst lies against Allah. Allah says: O Messenger! Proclaim what has been sent down to you from your Lord 5:67. And whoever claimed that he ﷺ knew what would be tomorrow; then he has uttered one of the worst lies against Allah. Allah says: Say: None in the heavens and in the earth knows the unseen but Allah 27:65.he earth knows the unseen but Allah 27:65. +
