The Prophet ﷺ was requested to lead the funeral prayer for the deceased. He said; Is he in debt? The people replied in the negative. He said; Has he left any wealth? They said; No. So; he led his funeral prayer. Another dead man was brought and the people said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Lead his funeral prayer. The Prophet ﷺ said; Is he in debt? They said; Yes. He said; Has he left any wealth? They said; Three Dinars. So; he led the prayer. Then a third dead man was brought and the people said to the Prophet ﷺ ; Please lead his funeral prayer. He said; Has he left any wealth? They said; No. He asked; Is he in debt? They said; Yes! He has to pay three Diners.; He refused to pray and said; Then pray for your dead companion. Abu Qatada said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Lead his funeral prayer; and I will pay his debt. So; he led the prayer.will pay his debt. So; he led the prayer. +

While we were proceeding at night; a man from the group said to Amir; O Amir! Wont you let us hear your poetry? Amir was a poet; so he got down and started reciting for the people poetry that kept pace with the camels footsteps; saying:- O Allah! Without You we Would not have been guided On the right path Neither would be have given In charity; nor would We have prayed. So please forgive us; what we have committed i.e. our defects ; let all of us Be sacrificed for Your Cause And send Sakina i.e. calmness Upon us to make our feet firm When we meet our enemy; and If they will call us towards An unjust thing; We will refuse. The infidels have made a hue and Cry to ask others help Against us. The Prophet ﷺ on that; asked; Who is that camel driver reciting poetry ? The people said; He is Amir Bin AlAkwa. Then the Prophet ﷺ said; May Allah bestow His Mercy on him. A man amongst the people said; O Allah Prophet! has martyrdom been granted to him. Would that you let us enjoy his company longer. Then we reached and besieged Khaibar till we were afflicted with severe hunger. Then Allah helped the Muslims conquer it i.e. Khaibar. In the evening of the day of the conquest of the city; the Muslims made huge fires. The Prophet ﷺ said; What are these fires? For cooking what; are you making the fire? The people replied; For cooking meat. He asked; What kind of meat? They i.e. people said; The meat of donkeys. The Prophet ﷺ said; Throw away the meat and break the pots! Some man said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Shall we throw away the meat and wash the pots instead? He said; Yes; you can do that too. So when the army files were arranged in rows for the clash ; Amir sword was short and he aimed at the leg of a Jew to strike it; but the sharp blade of the sword returned to him and injured his own knee; and that caused him to die. When they returned from the battle; Allah Messenger ﷺ saw me in a sad mood. He took my hand and said; What is bothering you? I replied; Let my father and mother be sacrificed for you! The people say that the deeds of Amir are lost. The Prophet ﷺ said; Whoever says so; is mistaken; for Amir has got a double reward. The Prophet raised two fingers and added; He i.e. Amir was a persevering struggler in the Cause of Allah and there are few Arabs who achieved the like of good deeds Amir had done.eved the like of good deeds Amir had done. +

Will you please recite to us some of your poetic verses? So Amir got down and started chanting among them; saying; By Allah! Had it not been for Allah; we would not have been guided. Amir also said other poetic verses which I do not remember. Allah Messenger ﷺ said; Who is this camel driver? The people said; He is Amir Bin AlAkwa; He said; May Allah bestow His Mercy on him. When the people Muslims lined up; the battle started; and Amir was struck with his own sword by chance by himself and died. In the evening; the people made a large number of fires for cooking meals. Allah Apostle said; What is this fire? What are you making the fire for? They said; For cooking the meat of donkeys. He said; Throw away what is in the pots and break the pots! When the army files aligned in rows for the battle ; Amir sword was a short one; and while attacking a Jew with it in order to hit him; the sharp edge of the sword turned back and hit Amir knee and caused him to die. When the Muslims returned from the battle ; Salama said; Allah Messenger ﷺ saw me pale and said; What is wrong with you? I said; Let my parents be sacrificed for you! The people claim that all the deeds of Amir have been annulled. The Prophet ﷺ asked; Who said so? I replied; So-and-so and soand- so and Usaid Bin AlHudair AlAnsari said; Whoever says so is telling a lie. Verily; Amir will have double reward. While speaking the Prophet ﷺ put two of his fingers together to indicate that; and added; He was really a hard-working man and a Mujahid devout fighter in Allah Cause and rarely have there lived in it i.e.; Medina or the battle-field an Arab like him.dina or the battle-field an Arab like him. +

I said to him; Woe to you! What brought you here? He replied; The camels of the Prophet ﷺ have been taken away. I said; Who took them? He said; Ghatafan and Fazara. So; I sent three cries; O Sabaha-h ! O Sabahah ! so loudly that made the people in between its i.e. Medinas two mountains hear me. Then I rushed till I met them after they had taken the camels away. I started throwing arrows at them saying; I am the son of AlAkwa; and today perish the mean people! So; I saved the camels from them before they i.e. the robbers could drink water. When I returned driving the camels; the Prophet ﷺ met me; I said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ Those people are thirsty and I have prevented them from drinking water; so send some people to chase them. The Prophet ﷺ said; O son of AlAkwa; you have gained power over your enemy ; so forgive them. Besides those people are now being entertained by their folk.e are now being entertained by their folk. +

They went to the Prophet ﷺ and asked his permission to slaughter their camels; and he agreed. Umar met them and they told him about it; and he said; How would you survive after slaughtering your camels? Then he went to the Prophet and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! How would they survive after slaughtering their camels? Allah Messenger ﷺ ordered Umar; Call upon the people to bring what has remained of their food. A leather sheet was spread and all the food was collected and heaped over it. Allah Messenger ﷺ stood up and invoked Allah to bless it; and then directed all the people to come with their utensils; and they started taking from it till all of them got what was sufficient for them. Allah Messenger ﷺ then said; I testify that None has the right to be worshipped but Allah; and I am His Messenger.shipped but Allah; and I am His Messenger. +

So; they came to the Prophet to take his permission for slaughtering their camels; and he permitted them. Then Umar met them and they informed him about it. He said; What will sustain you after your camels are finished ? Then Umar went to the Prophet ﷺ and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! What will sustain them after their camels are finished ? Allah Messenger ﷺ said; Make an announcement amongst the people that they should bring all their remaining food to me. They brought it and the Prophet ﷺ invoked Allah and asked for His Blessings for it. Then he asked them to bring their food utensils and the people started filling their food utensils with their hands till they were satisfied. Allah Messenger ﷺ then said; I testify that None has the right to be worshipped but Allah; and I am His Apostle.orshipped but Allah; and I am His Apostle. +

Let my father be sacrificed for you! The people claim that Amir good deeds are lost. The Prophet ﷺ said; Whoever says so is a liar; for Amir will have a double reward as he exerted himself to obey Allah and fought in Allah Cause. No other way of killing would have granted him greater reward.ing would have granted him greater reward. +

- Narrated Salamah Ibn Sakhr AlBayadi: I was … Narrated Salamah Ibn Sakhr AlBayadi: I was a man who was more given than others to sexual intercourse with women. When the month of Ramadan came; I feared lest I should have intercourse with my wife; and this evil should remain with me till the morning. So I made my wife like my mother back to me till the end of Ramadan. But one night when she was waiting upon me; something of her was revealed. Suddenly I jumped upon her. When the morning came I went to my people and informed them about this matter. I said: Go along with me to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. They said: No; by Allah. So I went to the Prophet ﷺ and informed him of the matter. He said: Have you really committed it; Salamah? I said: I committed it twice; Messenger of Allah. I am content with the Commandment of Allah; the Exalted; so take a decision about me according to what Allah has shown you. He said: Free a slave. I said: By Him Who sent you with truth; I do not possess a neck other than this: and I struck the surface of my neck. He said: Then fast two consecutive months. I said: Whatever I suffered is due to fasting. He said: Feed sixty poor people with a wasq of dates. I said: By Him Who sent you with truth; we passed the night hungry; there was no food in our house. He said: Then go to the collector of sadaqah of Banu Zurayq; he must give it to you. Then feed sixty poor people with a wasq of dates; and you and your family eat the remaining dates. Then I came back to my people; and said to them : I found with you poverty and bad opinion; and I found with the Prophet ﷺ prosperity and good opinion. He has commanded me to give alms to you. Ibn AlAla added: Ibn Idris said: Bayadah is a sub-clan of Banu Zurayq.aid: Bayadah is a sub-clan of Banu Zurayq. +

The Prophet ﷺ led the batch that was with him in one raka; and he stayed in the standing posture while that batch completed their two rakat prayer by themselves and went away; lining in the face of the enemy; while the other batch came and he i.e. the Prophet offered his remaining raka with them; and then; kept on sitting till they completed their prayer by themselves; and he then finished his prayer with Taslim along with them.ed his prayer with Taslim along with them. +
- Narrated Salih Bin Khawat: On the authorit … Narrated Salih Bin Khawat: On the authority of a person who offered the prayer in time of danger along with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at the battle of Dhat AlRiqa. One section of people stood in the row of prayer along with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and the other section remained standing in front of the enemy. He led those who were with him in one rakah and remained standing in his place and they completed the second rakah by themselves. Then they turned away and arrayed before the enemy. Thereafter the other section came and he led them in the rakah which remained from his prayer. He then remained sitting in his place and they completed their one rakah by themselves. He then uttered the salutation along with them.Malik said: I like the tradition reported by Yazid Bin Ruman i.e. the present tradition more than other versions I heard.radition more than other versions I heard. +

So when it was the Day of Arafat 9th of Dhu AlHijja ; and after the sun has deviated or has declined from the middle of the sky; I and Ibn Umar came and he shouted near the cotton cloth tent of AlHajjaj; Where is he? AlAlHajjaj came out. Ibn Umar said; Let us proceed to Arafat. AlAlHajjaj asked; Just now? Ibn Umar replied; Yes. AlAlHajjaj said; Wait for me till I pour water on me i.e. take a bath. So; Ibn Umar dismounted and waited till AlAlHajjaj came out. He was walking between me and my father. I informed AlHajjaj; If you want to follow the Sunna today; then you should shorten the sermon and then hurry up for the stay at Arafat. So Abdullah Bin Umar said: Ibn Khadij; what do you narrate from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about leasing the land? Rafi replied to Abdullah Bin Umar: I heard both of my uncles were present in the battle of Badr say; and they narrated it to the members of the family; that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade leasing land. Abdullah said: I swear by Allah; I knew that land was leased in the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Abdullah then feared that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ might have created something new in that matter; so he gave up leasing land.Abu Dawud said: This tradition has also been transmitted by Ayoub ; Ubaid Allah; Kathir Bin Farqad; Malik from Nafi on the authority of Rafi from the Prophet ﷺ. It has also been transmitted by AlAuzai from Hafs Bin Inan AlHanafi from Nafi from Rafi who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Similarly; it has been transmitted by Zaid Bin Abi Unaisah from AlHakkam from Nafi from Ibn Umar that he went to Rafi and asked: Have you heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say? He replied: Yes. Similarly; it has also been transmitted by Ikrimah Bin Ammar from Abu AlNajashi; from Rafi Bin Khadeej who said: I heard the Prophet ﷺ say. It has also been transmitted by AlAuzai from Abu AlNajashi from Rafi Bin Khadeej from his uncle Zuhair Bin Rafi from the Prophet ﷺ.Abu Dawud said: The name of Abu AlNajashi is Ata Bin Suhaib.e name of Abu AlNajashi is Ata Bin Suhaib. +

He; then; would proceed further till he reached the level ground; where he would stay for a long time; facing the Qibla to invoke Allah while raising his hands. Then he would do Rami of the Jamrat AlWusta similarly and would go to the left towards the level ground; where he would stand for a long time facing the Qibla to invoke Allah while raising his hands. Then he would do Rami of the Jamrat AlAqaba from the middle of the valley; but he would not stay by it. Ibn Umar used to say; I saw Allah Messenger ﷺ doing like that.; I saw Allah Messenger ﷺ doing like that. +

The people of the Torah were given the Torah and they acted upon it till midday then they were exhausted and were given one Qirat of gold each. And then the people of the Gospel were given the Gospel and they acted upon it till the Asr prayer then they were exhausted and were! given one Qirat each. And then we were given the Quran and we acted upon it till sunset and we were given two Qirats each. On that the people of both the scriptures said; O our Lord! You have given them two Qirats and given us one Qirat; though we have worked more than they. Allah said; Have I usurped some of your right? They said; No. Allah said: That is my blessing I bestow upon whomsoever I wish.blessing I bestow upon whomsoever I wish. +
