So I bought it with the core of my wealth; and today you prevent me from drinking from it; so that I would have to drink from the water of the sea? They said: O Allah! Yes! He said: I ask you by Allah and Islam! Do you know that the Masjid; was insufficient for its people; so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Who will purchase the land of the family of so-and-so; and add it to the Masjid in exchange for better than that in Paradise? So I bought it with the core of my wealth; and today you prevent me from praying two Rakah in it? They said: O Allah! Yes. He said: I ask you by Allah and Islam! Do you know that I prepared the army of distress from my wealth? They said: O Allah! Yes! Then he said: I ask you by Allah and Islam! This version has: The people said to Saad Ibn Ubadah: Abu Thabit; the prescribed punishments have been revealed: if you find a man with your wife; what will you do? He said: I shall strike them with a sword so much that they become silent i.e. die. Should I go and gather four witnesses? Until that time the need would be fulfilled. So they went away and gathered with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: Messenger of Allah! did you not see Abu Thabit. He said so-and-so. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: The sword is a sufficient witness. He then said: No; no; a furious and a jealous man may follow this course.Abu Dawud said: This tradition has been transmitted by Waki from AlFadl Bin Dilham from AlHasan; from Qabisah Bin Huraith; from Salamah Bin AlMuhabbaq; from the Prophet ﷺ.   Narrated Ubadah Ibn AlSamit: We came to Jabir Ibn Abdullah who was sitting in his Masjid. He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to us in this Masjid and he had a twig of date-palm of the kind of Ibn Tab. He looked and saw phlegm on the wall towards qiblah. He turned to it and scraped it with the twig. He then said: Who of you likes that Allah turns His face from him? He further said: When any of you stands for praying; Allah faces him. So he should not spit before him; nor on his right side. He should spit on his left side under his left foot. If he is in a hurry i.e. forced to spit immediately ; he should do with his cloth in this manner. He then placed the cloth on his mouth and rubbed it off. He then said: Bring perfume. A young man of the tribe stood and hurried to his house and returned with perfume in his palm. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took it and put it at the end of the twig. He then stained the mark of phlegm with it. Jabir said: This is the reason you use perfume in your Masjids.

  Narrated Ubai Bin Umar: Abu Mousa asked permission to enter upon Umar; but seeing that he was busy; he went away. Umar then said; Didnt I hear the voice of Abdullah Bin Qais? Allow him to come in. He was called in and Umar said to him; What made you do what you did. He replied; We have been instructed thus by the Prophet Umar said; Bring proof witness for this; other wise I will do so-and-so to you. Then Abdullah Bin Qais went to a gathering of the Ansar who then said; None but the youngest of us will give the witness for it. So Abu Saeed AlKhudri got up and said; We used to be instructed thus by the Prophet. Umar said; This tradition of the Prophet ﷺ remained hidden from me. Business in the market kept me busy.

We are led in the Prayer prayer by a leader of AlFitan trials and afflictions etc. and we are afraid of being sinful in following him. Uthman said. AlPrayer the prayers is the best of all deeds so when the people do good deeds do the same with them and when they do bad deeds; avoid those bad deeds.   Narrated Ubaid Bin Umair: Abu Mousa asked Umar to admit him but he was not admitted as Umar was busy; so Abu Mousa went back. When Umar finished his job he said; Didnt I hear the voice of Abdullah Bin Qais? Let him come in. Umar was told that he had left. So; he sent for him and on his arrival; he Abu Mousa said; We were ordered to do so i.e. to leave if not admitted after asking permission thrice. Umar told him; Bring witness in proof of your statement. Abu Mousa went to the Ansar meeting places and asked them.   Narrated Ubaid Bin Umair: Once Umar bin AlKhattab said to the companions of the Prophet ﷺ What do you think about this Verse:-Does any of you wish that he should have a garden? They replied; Allah knows best. Umar became angry and said; Either say that you know or say that you do not know! On that Ibn Abbas said; O chief of the believers! I have something in my mind to say about it. Umar said; O son of my brother! Say; and do not under estimate yourself. Ibn Abbas said; This Verse has been set up as an example for deeds. Umar said; What kind of deeds? Ibn Abbas said; For deeds. Umar said; This is an example for a rich man who does goods out of obedience of Allah and then Allah sends him Satan whereupon he commits sins till all his good deeds are lost.

  Narrated Ubaid Bin Umar: I heard Aisha saying; The Prophet ﷺ used to stay for a long while with Zanab bint Jahsh and drink honey at her house. So Hafsa and I decided that if the Prophet ﷺ came to anyone of us; she should say him; I detect the smell of Maghafir a nasty smelling gum in you. Have you eaten Maghafir? So the Prophet ﷺ visited one of them and she said to him similarly. The Prophet ﷺ said; Never mind; I have taken some honey at the house of Zainab bint Jahsh; but I shall never drink of it anymore. So there was revealed: O Prophet ! Why do you ban for you that which Allah has made lawful for you... If you two wives of Prophet turn in repentance to Allah; 66.1-4 addressing Aisha and Hafsa. When the Prophet ﷺ disclosed a matter in confidence to some of his wives. 66.3 namely his saying: But I have taken some honey.

  Narrated Ubaid Ibn Juraij: I asked Abdullah Bin Umar; O Abu Abdulrahman I saw you doing four things which I never saw being done by anyone of you companions? Abdullah Bin Umar said; What are those; O Ibn Juraij? I said; I never saw you touching any corner of the Kaba except these two facing south Yemen and I saw you wearing shoes made of tanned leather and dyeing your hair with Hinna a kind of red dye. I also noticed that whenever you were in Mecca; the people assume Ihram on seeing the new moon crescent 1st of Dhu AlHijja while you did not assume the Ihlal Ihram - Ihram is also called Ihlal which means Loud calling because a Muhrim has to recite Talbiya aloud when assuming the state of Ihram - till the 8th of Dhu AlHijja Day of Tarwiya. Abdullah replied; Regarding the corners of Kaba; I never saw Allah Messenger ﷺ touching except those facing south Yemen and regarding the tanned leather shoes; no doubt I saw Allah Messenger ﷺ wearing non-hairy shoes and he used to perform ablution while wearing the shoes i.e. wash his feet and then put on the shoes. So I love to wear similar shoes. And about the dyeing of hair with Hinna; no doubt I saw Allah Messenger ﷺ dyeing his hair with it and that is why I like to dye my hair with it. Regarding Ihlal; I did not see Allah Messenger ﷺ assuming Ihlal till he set out for Hajj on the 8th of Dhu AlHijja.
