He then ordered them to prepare it. in a waterskin and it was prepared in that by steeping raisins in water; and it was prepared in the night. In the morning he drank out of that and on that day and then the next night; and then on the next day until the evening. He drank and gave others to drink. We said : would that we meet any of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ so that we could ask him about what they say with regard to divine decree. So Allah helped us to meet Abdullah Bin Umar who was entering the Masjid. So I and my companion surrounded him; and I thought that my companion would entrust me the task of speaking to him. Then I said : Abu Abdulrahman there appeared on our side some people who recite the Quran and are engaged in the hair-splitting of knowledge. They conceive that there is no Divine decree and everything happens freely without predestination. He said : When you meet those people; tell them that I am free from them; and they are free from me. By Him by Whom swears Abdullah Bin Umar; if one of them has gold equivalent to Uhud and he spends it; Allah will not accept it from him until he believes in Divine decree. He then said : Umar Bin AlKhattab transmitted to me a tradition; saying : One day when we were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ a man with very white clothing and very black hair came up to us. No mark of travel was visible on him; and we did not recognize him. Sitting down beside the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; leaning his knees against his and placing his hands on his thighs; he said : tell me; Muhammad; about Islam. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said : Islam means that you should testify that there is no god but Allah; and Muhammad is Allahs Apostle; that you should observe prayer; pay Zakat; fast during Ramadan; and perform Hajj to the house i.e.; Kabah ; If you have the means to go. He said : You have spoken the truth. We were surprised at his questioning him and then declaring that he spoke the truth. He said : Now tell me about faith. He replied : It means that you should believe in Allah; his angels; his Books; his Apostles and the last day; and that you should believe in the decreeing both of good and evil. He said : You have spoken the truth. He said : now tell me about doing good ihsan. He replied: It means that you should worship Allah as though you are seeing him; if you are not seeing him; he is seeing you. He said: Now tell me about the hour. He replied : The one who is asked about it is no better informed than the one who is asking. He said : Then tell me about its signs. He replied : That a maidservant should beget her mistress; and that you should see barefooted; naked; poor men and shepherds exalting themselves in buildings. Umar said : He then went away; and I waited for three days; then he said : Do you know who the questioner was; Umar? I replied : Allah and his Apostle know best. He said : He was Gabriel who came to you to teach you your religion.ho came to you to teach you your religion. +

It was the same with the tailor and the gold-smith. They took an oath about it unless they produced something they would not normally have been employed to do. In that situation their statement was not allowed and the owner of the garment had to take an oath. If he rejected it and refused to swear; then the dyer was made to take an oath. Yahya said; I heard Malik speak about a dyer who was given a garment and he made a mistake and gave it to another man and the one to whom he gave it wore it. He said; The one who wore it has no damages against him; and the washer pays damages to the owner of the garment. That is when the man wears the garment which was given him without recognizing that it is not his. If he wears it knowing that it is not his garment; he is responsible for it.not his garment; he is responsible for it. +

She continued I was menstruating when I got to Makka; so I did not do tawaf of the House or say between Safa and Marwa. I complained to the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; and he said; Undo your hair and comb it and leave the umra and go back into ihram for the hajj. She said; I did so; and when we had completed the hajj; the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; sent me with Abdulrahman Ibn Abi Bakr AlSiddiq to AlTanim and I performed an umra and he said; This is in place of your umra. Those who had entered ihram for the umra did tawaf of the House and say between Safa and Marwa; then left ihram. Then they did another tawaf after returning from Mina for their hajj; whereas those who entered ihram for the hajj or combined the hajj and the umra; only did one tawaf. Malik said; The generally agreed upon way of doing things among us is that when a man sells the fruit of his orchard; he can keep Aasi de up to a third of the fruit; but that is not to be exceeded. There is no harm in what is less than a third. Malik added that he thought there was no harm for a man to sell the fruit of his orchard and keep Aasi de only the fruit of a certain palm-tree or palm-trees which he had chosen and whose number he had specified; because the owner was only keeping Aasi de certain fruit of his own orchard and everything else he sold.s own orchard and everything else he sold. +
