The bedouin said; My son was a laborer working for this man; and he committed illegal sexual intercourse with his wife. The people told me that my son should be stoned to death; so; in lieu of that; I paid a ransom of one hundred sheep and a slave girl to save my son. Then I asked the learned scholars who said; Your son has to be lashed one-hundred lashes and has to be exiled for one year. The Prophet ﷺ said; No doubt I will judge between you according to Allah Laws. The slave-girl and the sheep are to go back to you; and your son will get a hundred lashes and one year exile. | SahihAlBukhari-017-001-4888 | | Narrated Jabir Bin Abdullah: Allah Messenger ﷺ said; Who would kill Kaab Bin AlAshraf as he has harmed Allah and His Apostle ? Muhammad Bin Maslama got up and said; I will kill him. So; Muhammad Bin Maslama went to Kaab and said; I want a loan of one or two Wasqs of food grains. Kaab said; Mortgage your women to me. Muhammad Bin Maslama said; How can we mortgage our women; and you are the most handsome among the Arabs? He said; Then mortgage your sons to me. Muhammad said; How can we mortgage our sons; as the people will abuse them for being mortgaged for one or two Wasqs of food grains? It is shameful for us. But we will mortgage our arms to you. | SahihAlBukhari-017-001-4911 | | Narrated Aisha: Utba Bin Abi Waqqas authorized his brother Saad Bin Abi Waqqas to take the son of the slave-girl of Zama into his custody; telling him that the boy was his own illegal son. When Allah Messenger ﷺ went to Mecca at the time of the Conquest; Saad took the son of the slave-girl of Zama to Allah Messenger ﷺ and also brought Abu Bin Zama with him and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! This is the son of my brother Utba who authorized me to take him into my custody. Abu Bin Zama said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! He is my brother; the son of Zama slave-girl and he was born on his bed. Allah Messenger ﷺ looked at the son of the slave-girl of Zama and noticed much resemblance to Utba. Allah Messenger ﷺ said; It is for you; O Abu Bin Zama as he was born on the bed of your father. When I mentioned the word Ar64 Rahman in the documents; Umaiya said; I do not know AlRahman. Write down to me your name; with which you called yourself in the Pre-Islamic Period of Ignorance. So; I wrote my name Abdu Amr. On the day of the battle of Badr; when all the people went to sleep; I went up the hill to protect him. Bilal 1 saw him i.e. Umaiya and went to a gathering of Ansar and said; Here is Umaiya Bin Khalaf! Woe to me if he escapes! So; a group of Ansar went out with Bilal to follow us Abdulrahman and Umaiya. Being afraid that they would catch us; I left Umaiya son for them to keep them busy but the Ansar killed the son and insisted on following us. Umaiya was a fat man; and when they approached us; I told him to kneel down; and he knelt; and I laid myself on him to protect him; but the Ansar killed him by passing their swords underneath me; and one of them injured my foot with his sword. In the year of the Conquest of Mecca Saad Bin Abu Waqqas took him; and said that he was his brother son; and his brother took a promise from him to that effect. Abu Bin Zama got up and said; He is my brother and the son of the slave-girl of my father and was born on my father bed. Then they both went to the Prophet ﷺ Saad said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! He is the son of my brother and he has taken a promise from me that I will take him. Abu Bin Zama said; He is my brother and the son of my father slave-girl and was born on my father bed. | SahihAlBukhari-017-001-5487 | | Narrated Aisha: Saad Bin Abi Waqqas and Abu Bin Zama quarreled over a boy. Saad said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! This boy is the son of my brother Utba Bin Abi Waqqas who took a promise from me that I would take him as he was his illegal son. Look at him and see whom he resembles. Abu Bin Zama said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! This is my brother and was born on my father bed from his slave-girl. Allah Apostle cast a look at the boy and found definite resemblance to Utba and then said; The boy is for you; O Abu Bin Zama. The child goes to the owner of the bed and the adulterer gets nothing but the stones despair; i.e. to be stoned to death. Then the Prophet ﷺ said; O Sauda bint Zama! Screen yourself from this boy. Um Ruman said to her; What is the matter? She replied; My son was amongst those who talked of the story of the Slander. Um Ruman said; What is that? She said; So-and-so.... and narrated the whole story. On that Aisha said; Did Allah Apostle hear about that? She replies; yes. Aisha further said; And Abu Bakr too? She replied; Yes. On that; Aisha fell down fainting; and when she came to her senses; she had got fever with rigors. I put her clothes over her and covered her. The Prophet ﷺ came and asked; What is wrong with this lady ? Um Ruman replied; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! She i.e. Aisha has got temperature with rigors. He said; Perhaps it is because of the story that has been talked about? She said; Yes. Aisha sat up and said; By Allah; if I took an oath that I am innocent ; you would not believe me; and if I said that I am not innocent ; you would not excuse me. My and your example is like that of Jacob and his sons as Jacob said : It is Allah Alone Whose Help can be sought against that you assert. Um Ruman said; The Prophet ﷺ then went out saying nothing. At the same time Allah Messenger ﷺ said to his wife Sauda ; Veil yourself before him i.e. the son of the slave-girl O Sauda; because of the resemblance he noticed between him and Utba Bin Abi Waqqas. Allah Apostle added; The boy is for the bed i.e. for the owner of the bed where he was born ; and stone is for the adulterer. | SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6799 | | Narrated Anas: Abdullah Bin Salam heard the news of the arrival of Allah Messenger ﷺ at Medina while he was on a farm collecting its fruits. So he came to the Prophet ﷺ and said; I will ask you about three things which nobody knows unless he be a prophet. Firstly; what is the first portent of the Hour? What is the first meal of the people of Paradise? And what makes a baby look like its father or mother?. The Prophet ﷺ said; Just now Gabriel has informed me about that. Abdullah said; Gabriel? The Prophet ﷺ said; Yes. Abdullah said; He; among the angels is the enemy of the Jews. On that the Prophet ﷺ recited this Holy Verse:- Whoever is an enemy to Gabriel let him die in his fury! for he has brought it i.e. Quran down to your heart by Allah permission. 2.97 Then he added; As for the first portent of the Hour; it will be a fire that will collect the people from the East to West. And as for the first meal of the people of Paradise; it will be the caudite i.e. extra lobe of the fish liver. And if a man discharge proceeded that of the woman; then the child resembles the father; and if the woman discharge proceeded that of the man; then the child resembles the mother. On hearing that; Abdullah said; I testify that None has the right to be worshipped but Allah; and that you are the Messenger of Allah; O; Allah Messenger ﷺ ; the Jews are liars; and if they should come to know that I have embraced Islam; they would accuse me of being a liar. In the meantime some Jews came to the Prophet and he asked them; What is Abdullah status amongst you? They replied; He is the best amongst us; and he is our chief and the son of our chief. The Prophet ﷺ said; What would you think if Abdullah Bin Salam embraced Islam? They replied; May Allah protect him from this! Then Abdullah came out and said; I testify that None has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. The Jews then said; Abdullah is the worst of us and the son of the worst of us; and disparaged him. On that Abdullah said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! | SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6895 | | Narrated Abu Saeed AlKhudri: During the lifetime of the Prophet ﷺ some people said; : O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Shall we see our Lord on the Day of Resurrection? The Prophet ﷺ said; Yes; do you have any difficulty in seeing the sun at midday when it is bright and there is no cloud in the sky? They replied; No. He said; Do you have any difficulty in seeing the moon on a full moon night when it is bright and there is no cloud in the sky? They replied; No. The Prophet ﷺ said; Similarly you will have no difficulty in seeing Allah on the Day of Resurrection as you have no difficulty in seeing either of them. On the Day of Resurrection; a call-maker will announce; Let every nation follow that which they used to worship. Then none of those who used to worship anything other than Allah like idols and other deities but will fall in Hell Fire ; till there will remain none but those who used to worship Allah; both those who were obedient i.e. good and those who were disobedient i.e. bad and the remaining party of the people of the Scripture. Then the Jews will be called upon and it will be said to them; Who do you use to worship? They will say; We used to worship Ezra; the son of Allah. It will be said to them; You are liars; for Allah has never taken anyone as a wife or a son. What do you want now? They will say; O our Lord! We are thirsty; so give us something to drink. They will be directed and addressed thus; Will you drink; whereupon they will be gathered unto Hell Fire which will look like a mirage whose different sides will be destroying each other. Then they will fall into the Fire. Afterwards the Christians will be called upon and it will be said to them; Who do you use to worship? They will say; We used to worship Jesus; the son of Allah. It will be said to them; You are liars; for Allah has never taken anyone as a wife or a son; Then it will be said to them; What do you want? They will say what the former people have said. Then; when there remain in the gathering none but those who used to worship Allah Alone; the real Lord of the Worlds whether they were obedient or disobedient. Then Allah the Lord of the worlds will come to them in a shape nearest to the picture they had in their minds about Him. It will be said; What are you waiting for? Every nation have followed what they used to worship. They will reply; We left the people in the world when we were in great need of them and we did not take them as friends. Now we are waiting for our Lord Whom we used to worship. Allah will say; I am your Lord. The woman was pregnant and the husband denied that he was the cause of her pregnancy; so the son was later ascribed to her.
