- He said When you return home impart religious teachings to your families and tell them to offer perfectly such and such a prayer at such and such a time and such and such a prayer at such and such a time
- Narrated Abdullah Bin Zaid The Prophet said But for the emigration I would have been one of the Ansar and if the people took their way in a valley or a mountain pass I would take Ansar valley or their mountain pass
- I called Ali and he held a private talk with him till very late at night and then Al got up to leave having had much hope to be chosen as a Caliph but Abdulrahman was afraid of something concerning Ali
- Uyaina said to his nephew O my nephew Have you an approach to this chief so as to get for me the permission to see him His nephew said I will get the permission for you to see him
- Narrated Abu Saeed A woman came to Allah Messenger and said O Allah Messenger Men only benefit by your teachings so please devote to us from some of your time a day on which we may come to you so that you may teach us of what Allah has taught you
- A woman among them said O Allah Messenger If she lost two children She repeated her question twice whereupon the Prophet said Even two even two even two See Hadith No
- Abu Musa replied I asked permission three times and I was not given it so I returned for Allah Messenger said If anyone of you asks the permission to enter thrice and the permission is not given then he should return
- When a cloud of dust raised by the animal covered that gathering Abdullah Bin Ubai covered his nose with his Rida sheet and said to the Prophet Dont cover us with dust
- Narrated Abu Huraira The Prophet said The people will be gathered in three ways The first way will be of those who will wish or have a hope for Paradise and will have a fear of punishment The second batch will be those who will gather riding two on a camel or three on a camel or ten on a camel
- The third batch the rest of the people will be urged to gather by the Fire which will accompany them at the time of their afternoon nap and stay with them where they will spend the night and will be with them in the morning wherever they may be then and will be with them in the afternoon wherever they may be then
- When Allah Messenger had fought the battle of Badr and Allah killed whomever He killed among the chiefs of the infidels and the nobles of Quraish and Allah Messenger and his companions had returned with victory and booty bringing with them some of the chiefs of the infidels and the nobles of the Quraish as captives
- Narrated Anas Bin Malik Allah Messenger said Shall I tell you of the best families among the Ansar They the people said Yes O Allah Messenger The Prophet said The best are Banu AlNajjar and after them are Banu Abdil AlAshhal and after them are Banu AlHarith Bin AlKhazraj and after them are Banu Saida
- Narrated Abu Usaid The Prophet said The best of the Ansar families homes are those of Banu AlNajjar and then those of Banu AbdulAlAshhal then those of Banu AlHarith Bin AlKhazraj and then those of Banu Saida nevertheless there is good in all the families houses of the Ansar
- Narrated Abu Humaid The Prophet said The best of the Ansar families homes are the families homes of Banu AlNajjar and then that of Banu AbdulAlAshhal and then that of Banu AlHarith and then that of Banu Saida and there is good in all the families homes of the Ansar
- Saad Bin Ubada followed us and said O Abu Usaid Dont you see that the Prophet compared the Ansar and made us the last of them in superiority Then Saad met the Prophet and said O Allah Messenger In comparing the Ansar families homes as to the degree of superiority you have made us the last of them
- Narrated Anas Bin Malik The Prophet said The Ansar are my near companions to whom I confided my private secrets People will go on increasing but the Ansar will go on decreasing so accept the good of the good doers amongst them and excuse the wrong doers amongst them
- The Ansari said Help O Ansar And the emigrant said Help O emigrants The Prophet came out and said What is wrong with the people as they are calling this call of the period of Ignorance Then he said What is the matter with them So he was told about the stroke of the emigrant to the Ansari
- Narrated Anas Bin Malik When Allah favored His Apostle with the properties of Hawazin tribe as Fai booty he started giving to some Quarries men even up to one hundred camels each whereupon some Ansari men said about Allah Messenger May Allah forgive His Apostle He is giving to men of Quraish and leaves us in spite of the fact that our swords are still dropping blood of the infidels When Allah Messenger was informed of what they had said he called the Ansar and gathered them in a leather tent and did not call anybody else along with them
- My emigrant brothers were busy in the market while I used to stick to Allah Messenger content with what fills my stomach so I used to be present when they were absent and I used to remember when they used to forget and my Ansari brothers used to be busy with their properties and I was one of the poor men of Suffa
- She the woman sister said We used to treat the wounded look after the patients and once I asked the Prophet Is there any harm for any of us to stay at home if she doesnt have a veil He said She should cover herself with the veil of her companion and should participate in the good deeds and in the religious gathering of the Muslims
- May my father be sacrificed for him the Prophet Whenever she mentioned the Prophet she used to say May my father be sacrificed for him I have heard the Prophet saying The unmarried young virgins and the mature girl who stay often screened or the young unmarried virgins who often stay screened and the menstruating women should come out and participate in the good deeds as well as the religious gathering of the faithful believers but the menstruating women should keep away from the Musalla praying place
- Hafsa asked Um Atiya surprisingly Do you say the menstruating women She replied Doesnt a menstruating woman attend Arafat Hajj and such and such other deeds Menstrual Periods The participation of menstruating women in the two Eid festivals and in religious gatherings of Muslims and their isolation from the Musalla prayer place
- Did you hear anything about that Um Atiya said Bi Abi and she never mentioned the name of Allah Messenger without saying Bi Abi i
- If he is in Paradise I shall remain patient and hope for reward from Allah but if it is not so then you shall see what I do He said May Allah be merciful to you Have you lost your senses Do you think there is only one Paradise There are many Paradises and your son is in the most superior Paradise of AlToknz Alfirdaus Location
- He said Why did you not marry a young girl who would have fondled with you I replied O Allah Messenger My father was martyred on the day of Uhud and left nine orphan daughters who are my nine sisters so I disliked to have another young girl of their age but I sought an elderly woman who could comb their hair and look after them
- the Emigrants and the Ansar were digging the trench around Medina and were carrying the earth on their backs while saying We are those who have given the pledge of allegiance to Muhammad for Islam as long as we live
- Trench and laid down his arms and took a bath Gabriel came and said to the Prophet You have laid down your arms By Allah we angels have not laid them down yet
- He turned right and said O the group of Ansar They said Labbaik O Allah Messenger Rejoice for we are with you Then he turned left and said O the group of Ansar They said Labbaik O Allah Messenger Rejoice for we are with you The Prophet at that time was riding on a white mule then he dismounted and said I am Allah Slave and His Apostle
- The news reached the Prophet and he gathered them in a leather tent and said What is this news reaching me from you O the group of Ansar They kept silent He added O the group of Ansar Wont you be happy that the people take the worldly things and you take Allah Messenger to your homes reserving him for yourself They said Yes
- Narrated Ibn Abbas When the Verse And warn your tribe of near kindred was revealed the Prophet ascended the Safa mountain and started calling O Bani Fihr O Bani Uodi addressing various tribes of Quraish till they were assembled
- Abu Lahab and other people from Quraish came and the Prophet then said Suppose I told you that there is an enemy cavalry in the valley intending to attack you would you believe me They said Yes for we have not found you telling anything other than the truth
- Narrated Umar I recommend that my successor should take care of and secure the rights of the early emigrants and I also advise my successor to be kind to the Ansar who had homes in Medina and had adopted the Faith before the Prophet migrated to them and to accept the good from their good ones and excuse their wrong doers
- Abu Hurairah narrated that he heard the Messenger of Allah saying For one of you to go out early to gather firewood and carry it on his back so that he can give charity from it and be free of need from the people is better for him than to ask a man who may give that to him or refuse
- No one would lift their sight towards him except Abu Bakr and Umar because they used to look at him and he would look at them and they would smile at him and he would smile at them
- So the Messenger of Allah said If the people were to pass through a valley or a path and the Ansar passed through a valley or a path then I would pass through the valley or path of the Ansar
- Narrated Ubay Bin Kaab On the Day of Uhud sixty four of the Ansar were killed and six from the Muhajirin one of whom was Hamzah and they mutilated them so the Ansar said If in the future we are able to kill them on a day like this we would mutilate from among them as twice as they mutilate from among us
- The man from the Muhajirin said O Muhajirin the man from the Ansar said O Ansar The Prophet heard that and said What is this evil call of Jahliyah They said A man from the Muhajirin kicked a man from the Ansar
- Narrated Ubaidullah Bin Abdullah Bin Utbah It was narrated from Ubaidullah Bin Abdullah Bin Utbah that during the reign of Marwan Abdullah Bin Amr Bin Uthman who was a young man issued a final divorce to the daughter of Saeed Bin Zaid whose mother was Bint Qais
- She sent word to AlHarith and Ayash asking them what her husband had told them to spend on her and they said By Allah she has no right to any maintenance from us unless she is pregnant and she cannot come into our home without our permission
- Abu Kamil AlJahdari narrated to us Hammad and he is Ibn Zayd narrated to us he said Asim bin Bahdalah narrated to us he said We would catch up with Abu Abd ar Rahman as Sulami and at the time we were young men so he would say to us Do not sit with story tellers other than Ab AlAhwas and beware of Shaqiq Abu Abd ar Rahim
- This hadith is narrated on the authority of Jabir through other chains of transmitters but with this addition of words that thehadith transmitted on the authority of Ayub these words are found The Helpers Ansar conferred the benefit of Umra upon the Emigrants Muhajirin whereupon Allah Messenger said Keep your property to yourselves
- They gathered round him and he said O sons of so and so O sons of so and so O sons of Abd Manaf O sons of Abd AlMuttalib and they gathered around him
- It was quite soon that the boat turned over and they were drowned and he came walking to the king and the king said to him What has happened to your companions He said Allah has saved me from them and he said to the king You cannot kill me until you do what I ask you to do
- So he the king called the people in an open plain and tied him the boy to the trunk of a tree then he took hold of an arrow from his quiver and then placed the arrow in the bow and then said In the name of Allah the Lord of the young boy he then shot an arrow and it bit his temple
- He the boy placed his hands upon the temple where the arrow had bit him and he died and the people said We affirm our faith in the Lord of this young man we affirm our faith in the Lord of this young man we affirm our faith in the Lord of this young man
- When these ditches were dug and the fire was lit in them it was said to the people He who would not turn back from his boys religion would be thrown in the fire or it would be said to them to jump in that
- He came to Allah Apostle and asked him about it whereupon he said The Ansar have done well to give the name to your children after my name but do not give them the kunya after my kunya
- Jubair Bin Mutim reported on the authority of his father that he heard Allah Messenger as saying I am Muhammad and I am Ahmad and I am AlMahi the obliterator by whom unbelief would be obliterated and I am Hashir the gatherer at whose feet mankind will be gathered and I am Aqib the last to come after whom there will be no Prophet
- Jubair Bin Mutim reported on the authority of his father that he heard Allah Messenger as saying I have many names I am Muhammad I am Ahmad I am AlMahi through whom Allah obliterates unbelief and I am Hashir the gatherer at whose feet people will be gathered and I am Aqib after whom there would be none and Allah has named him as compassionate and merciful
- Ibn Shihab transmitted on the authority of Ibn Musayib that Abu Huraira said People say that Abu Huraira transmits so many ahadith whereas Allah is the Reckoner and they say How is it with Muhajirs and the Ansar that they do not narrate ahadith like him like Abu Huraira Abu Huraira said I tell you that my brothers from Ansar remained busy with their lands and my brothers Muhajirs were busy in transactions in the bazars but I always kept myself attached to Allah Messenger with bare subsistence
- This concerned Banu Salama and Banu Haritha and we did not like that Allah the Exalted and Glorious should not have revealed this verse for the fact that Allah gave an assurance of being the Guardian of both
- Abu Usaid reported Allah Messenger as saying The worthiest clans of the Ansar are Banu Najjar thereafter Banu AlAshhal thereafter Banu Harith Bin Banu Khazraj thereafter Banu Saidah and there is goodness in all clans of the Ansar
- His nephew saw him and said Are you going to contradict the order of precedence set by Allah Messenger whereas Allah Messenger has the best knowledge of it Is it not sufficient for you that you are the fourth amongst the four best tribes of the Ansar So he returned and said Allah and His Messenger know best and he commanded that his pony should be unsaddled
- I swore by Allah whenever I accompany any one of the Ansar I would serve him and Ibn Muthanni and Ibn Bashshir made this addition in their narrations Jarir was older than Anas and Ibn Bashshir said He was of a more advanced age as compared with Anas
- When they had assembled the Messenger of Allah came to them and said What is this news that has reached me from you The wise people of the Ansar said Messenger of Allah so far as the sagacious amongst us are concerned they have said nothing but we have amongst us persons of immature age they said May Allah grant pardon to the Messenger of Allah that he gave to the Quraish and ignored us despite the fact that our swords are besmeared with their blood
- Upon this the Messenger of Allah said I give at times material gifts to persons who were quite recently in the state of unbelief so that I may incline them to truth Dont you feel delighted that people should go with riches and you should go back to your places with the Messenger of Allah By Allah that with which you would return is better than that with which they would return
- Upon this he said Dont you like that the people should return to their houses along with worldly riches whereas you should return to your houses with the Messenger of Allah If the people were to tread a valley or a narrow path and the Ansar were also to tread a valley or a narrow path I would tread the valley along with the Ansar or the narrow path along with the Ansar
- Anas Bin Malik reported that when it was the Day of Hunain there came the tribes of Hawazin Ghatafan and others along with their children and animals and there were with the Messenger of Allah that day ten thousand soldiers and newly freed men of Mecca after its conquest
- Upon this the Messenger of Allah stood up and after having praised Allah and lauded Him addressed them thus O people of Ansar did I not find you erring and Allah guided you aright through me and in the state of being destitute and Allah made you free from want through me and in a state of disunity and Allah united you through me and they the Ansar said Allah and His Messenger are most benevolent
- He the Holy Prophet further said Dont you feel happy over this state of affairs that the people should go away with goats and camels and you go to your places along with the Messenger of Allah The Ansar are inner garments more close to me and other people are outer garments
- Abu Musa reported There cropped up a difference of opinion between a group of Muhajirs Emigrants and a group of Ansar Helpers and the point of dispute was that the Ansar said The bath because of sexual intercourse becomes obligatory only when the semen spurts out or ejaculates
- Upon this I said What makes a bath obligatory for a person She replied You have come across one well informed The Messenger of Allah said When anyone sits amidst four parts of the woman and the circumcised parts touch each other a bath becomes obligatory
- Abu Hurairah reported The Apostle of Allaah as saying A woman should not be married to one who had married her paternal aunt or a paternal aunt to one who had married her brothers daughter or a woman to one who had married her maternal aunt or maternal aunt to one who had married her sisters daughter
- A woman who is elder in relation must not be married to one who had married a woman who is younger in relation to her nor a woman who is younger in relation must be married to one who has married a woman who is elder in relation to her
- He then said The Muhajirun Emigrants should stay here and he made a sign to the right side of the qiblah and the Ansar the Helpers here and he made a sign to the left side of the qiblah the people should stay around them
- Narrated Abdullah Ibn Massuod The Prophet said The mill of Islam will go round till the year thirty five or thirty six or thirty seven then if they perish they will have followed the path of those who perished before them but if their religion is maintained it will be maintained for seventy years

- It wasnarrated that Abdulrahman Bin Shibl said The Messenger ofAllah forbade three things Pecking like a crow spreading theforearms like a beast of prey and a man having a place in the Masjidin which he usually offers the prayer like a camel has aplace towhich it usually goes
- Abdulrahman Bin Abdullah narrated from his father that The Prophet said May Allah cause his face to shine the man who hears a Hadith from us and conveys it for perhaps the one to whom it is conveyed may remember it better than the one who first hears it
- It was narrated from Umm Salamah that whenever he left his house the Prophet would say Allahumma inni audhu bika an adilla aw azilla aw azlima aw uzlama aw ajhala aw yujhala alaya O Allah I seek refuge with You from going astray or stumbling from wronging others or being wronged and from behaving or being treated in an ignorant manner
- If he says La ilaha illallahu la sharikalahu There is none worthy of worship except Allah with no partner or associate Allah says My slave has spoken the truth there is none worthy of worship except I with no partner or associate
- If he says La illah illallah lahul mulku wa lahul hamdu There is none worthy of worship except Allah all dominion is His and all praise is to Him Allah says My slave has spoken the truth there is none of worthy of worship except I all dominion Mine and all praise is due to Me
- If he says La illaha illallah la hawla wa la quwata illa billah There is none worthy of worship and there is no power and no strength except with Allah Allah says My slave has spoken then truth there is none worthy of worship except I and tehre is no power and no strength except with Me
- He said What about the sheep taken from the pasture O Messenger of Allah He said The thief must pay double its price and be punished and if it was in the pen then his hand should be cut off if what was taken was worth the price of a shield
- Yahya related to me from Malik from Muhammad ibn Zayd ibn Qunfudhthat his mother asked Umm Salama the wife of the Prophet may Allahbless him and grant him peace What clothes can a woman wear inprayer She said She can pray in a shift that reaches down andcovers the top of her feet
- Yahya said I heard Maliksay that if a mukatab whose master had given him a kitaba had a slave girl who was pregnant by him and neither he nor his master knew thaton the day he was given his kitaba the child did not follow himbecause he was not included in the kitaba
- Malik said If he is not aware of that until the mukatabhas met the terms or before he has met them the owner who has writtenhim the kitaba returns what he has taken from the mukatab to him andthen he and his partner divide him according to their original sharesand the kitaba is invalid
- If the mukatab is unable to pay his kitaba fully and theone who did not allow him to defer his payment has exacted more thanhis associate did the slave is still divided equally between them and he does not return to his associates the excess of what he hasexacted because he only exacted his right with the permission of hisassociate
- Yahya related to me from Malik that he had heard that Ali ibn AbiTalib said about the two arbiters about whom Allah the Exalted said If you fear a breach between the two appoint an arbiter fromhis people and an arbiter from her people
