Whenever the charitable man tries to give a charitable gift his iron cloak expands till it becomes so wide that it will cover his fingertips and obliterate his tracks And whenever the miser wants to give a charitable gift his cloak becomes very tight over him and every ring gets stuck to its place Abu Huraira added I saw Allah Messenger putting his finger in the chest pocket of his shirt like that If you but saw him trying to widen the opening of his shirt but it did not widen
  8. to cover one shoulder with one garment and leave the other bare and the other way was to wrap oneself with a garment while one was sitting in such a way that nothing of that garment would cover one private part

Narrated Abu Huraira Allah Messenger said The example of a miser and a generous person is like that of two persons wearing iron cloaks from the breast upto the neck When the generous person spends the iron cloak enlarges and spread over his skin so much so that it covers his fingertips and obliterates his tracks
  10. Narrated Safwan Bin Yala Bin Umaiya Yala used to say I wish I could see Allah Messenger at the time he is being inspired Divinely

Thereupon he said Where is the questioner who asked me about Umra a while ago The man was sought and then was brought before the Prophet who said to him As regards the scent which you perfumed your body with you must wash it off thrice and as for your cloak you must take it off and then perform in your Umra all those things which you perform in Hajj
  12. When the Prophet saw him leaving he called him back or the man was called for him and he said to the man How much of the do you know by heart The man replied I know such Surat and such Surat by heart naming the Suras The Prophet said I have married her to you for what you know of the

Narrated Ibn Abbas Allah Messenger in his fatal illness came out wrapped in a sheet covering his shoulders and his head was tied with an oily tape of cloth till he sat on the pulpit and after praising and glorifying Allah he said Then after O people The people will go on increasing but the Ansar will go on decreasing till they become just like salt in a meal

  15. Narrated Jubair Bin Mutim That while he was with Allah Messenger who was accompanied by the people on their way back from Hunain the bedouins started begging things of Allah Messenger so much so that they forced him to go under a Samura tree where his loose outer garment was snatched away

So whenever a charitable person wants to give in charity his cloak spreads over his body so much so that it wipes out his traces but whenever the miser wants to give in charity the rings of the iron cloak come closer to each other and press over his body and his hands gets connected to his collarbones

Umar took it and brought it to Allah Messenger and said O Allah Messenger You have said that this is the dress of that who will have no share in the Hereafter or this is worn by one who will have no share in the Hereafter yet you have sent me this The Prophet said I have sent it so that you may sell it or fulfill with it some of your needs
  18. Narrated Um Khalid the daughter of Khalid Bin Saeed I went to Allah Messenger with my father and I was Nearing a yellow shirt
  19. Leave her and then Allah Messenger invoked Allah to grant me a long life by saying thrice Wear this dress till it is worn out and then wear it till it is worn out and then wear it till it is worn out

Allah Messenger also said The example of an almsgiver and a miser is like the example of two persons who have two iron cloaks on them from their breasts to their collar bones and when the almsgiver wants to give in charity the cloak becomes capacious till it covers his whole body to such an extent that it hides his fingertips and covers his footprints obliterates his tracks

Yala came and put his head underneath that cloth sheet and saw the Prophet red faced and when that state of the Prophet was over he said Where is he who as already asked me about the Umra The man was looked for and brought to the Prophet The Prophet said to him As for the perfume you have applied to your body wash it off your body thrice and take off your cloak and then do in your Umra the rites you do in your Hajj
  22. Ibn Abbas narrated that The Messenger of Allah said Wear the white among your garments for indeed they are among the best of your garments and shroud your dead in them

Then he said I heard the Messenger of Allah saying Whoever wears a new garment and then says Allah praise is due to Allah who clothed me with what I may cover my Awrah and what I may beautify myself with in my life A Al U E amdulillah alladhi kasani ma uwari bihi awrati wa atajammalu bihi fi U E ayati and then he takes the garment that has worn out and gives it in charity he shall be under Allahs guard Allahs protection and Allahs covering alive and dead

  25. Mulamasah is when two men trade garments with each other under cover of night each man touching the garment of the other with his hand and Munabadhah is when one man throws a garment to another and the other throws a garment to him and they trade them with each other in that manner
  26. A Jewish man got some fabric from AlAshsham so I said Why dont you send word to him to buy two garments from him and pay him when things get easier So he sent word to him but he said I know what Muhammad wants he wants to go away with my money and take them the two garments
  27. Every time the one who gives thinks of giving in charity the coat of mail expands until it obliterates his traces and every time the miser thinks of giving charity every circle of the coat of mail contracts and sticks to him and his hand is tied up to his collarbones
  28. Ibn Abbas reported During the pre Islamic days women circumambulated the Kaba nakedly and said Who would provide cloth to cover the one who is circumambulating the Kaba so that she would cover her private parts And then she would say Today will be exposed the whole or the part and what is exposed I shall not make it lawful

Jabir Bin Abdullah AlAnsari who was one of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah reportedThe Messenger of Allah told about the intermission of revelation and narrated While I was walking I heard a voice from the sky and raising my head I saw the angel who had come to me in Hira sitting on a Throne between heaven and earth I was terror stricken on that account and came back to my family and said Wrap me up wrap me up So they wrapped me up and the Blessed and Most Exalted Allah sent down You who are shrouded arise and deliver warning your Lord magnify your clothes cleanse and defilement shun and defilement means idols and then the revelation was followed continuously

He followed that and struck it with the help of a stone saying O stone my garment O stone my garments O stone until it stopped near the big gathering of Isriill and this verse was revealed pertaining to the incident O you who believe be not Iike those who maligned Moses but Allah cleared him of what they said and he was worthy of regard with Allah xxxiii

Thereupon Umar said You make me wear this silk garment Whereas you said about the silk garment of Utarid the person who had been busy selling this garment at the door of the mosque what you had to say whereupon Allah Messenger said I have not presented you this for wearing it but to make use of its price so Umar presented it to his polytheist brother in Mecca
  32. Abdullah Bin Umar reported Umar Bin at Khattab found a silk garment being sold in the market he purchased it and brought it to Allah Messenger and said Allah Messenger get it and adorn yourself by wearing it on the Id days and for the delegation

Abdullah said to me So far as what you say about fasting in the month of Rajab how about one who observes continuous fasting and so far as what you say about the striped garment I heard Umar Bin Khatab say that he had heard from Allah Messenger He who wears silk garment has no share for him in the Hereafter and I am afraid it may not be that striped garment and so far as the red saddle clotb is concerned that is the saddle cloth of Abdullah and it is red

Thereupon Allah Messenger said How can your lower garment serve your purpose for it you wear it she would not be able to make any use of it and if she wears it there would not be anything on you The man sat down and as the sitting prolonged he stood up in disappointment and as he was going back Allah Messenger commanded him to be called back and as he came he said to him Do you know any part of the He said I know such and such surahs and he counted them whereupon he said Can you recite them from heart from your memory He said Yes whereupon he Allah Messenger said Go I have given her to you in marriage for the part of the which you know

Aisha reported that the Messenger of Allah was shrouded in three cotton garments of white Yamani stuff from Sahul among which was neither a shirt nor a turban and so far as Hullah is concerned there was some doubt about it in the minds of people that it was brought for him in order to shroud him with it but it was abandoned and he was shrouded in three cotton garments of white Yamani stuff from Sahul
  41. Umm Atiya reported The Messenger of Allah commanded us to bring out onId AlFitr and Eid AlAdha young women menstruating women and purdah observing ladies menstruating women kept back from prayer but participated in goodness and supplication of the Muslims

Aisha reported When anyone amongst us was menstruating the Messenger of Allah asked her to tie waist wrapper daring the time when the menstrual blood profusely flowed and then embraced her and she Aisha observed And who amongst you can have control over his desires as the Messenger of Allah had over his desires

Umar being one of them there came a person with a cloak of wool on him daubed with perfume and he said Messenger of Allah what about the person who entered upon the state of Ihram with a cloak after daubing it with perfume The Apostle of Allah looked at him for a short while and then became quiet and revelation began descending upon him and Umar gestured with his hand to Yala Bin Umaya to come

Then he felt relieved of that burden and he said Where is the man who was just asking me about Umra The man was searched for and he was brought and the Messenger of Allah said So far as the perfume is concerned wash it three times and remove the cloak too as it was sewn and do in Umra as you do in Hajj

  47. Narrated AbuSaid AlKhudri The Prophet said A man should not look at the private parts of another man and a woman should not look at the private parts of another woman
  48. A man should not lie with another man without wearing lower garment under one cover and a woman should not be lie with another woman without wearing lower garment under one cover
  49. Pointing to the collar of his shirt AlHasan a AlBasri said The perfume used by men should have an odour but no colour and the perfume used by women should have a colour but no odour
  50. The Messenger of Allah said The way for a believer to wear a lower garment is to have it halfway down his legs and he is guilty of no sin if it comes halfway between that and the ankles but what comes lower than the ankles is in Hell
  51. Narrated Umm Salamah Ummul Muminin When the verse That they should cast their outer garments over their persons was revealed the women of Ansar came out as if they had crows over their heads by wearing outer garments
  52. Aishah reported The Messenger of Allah would say the Fajr prayer after which the women would depart wrapped up their woolen garments being unrecognizable because of the darkness before dawn
  53. Ibn Umar reported the Messenger of Allah as saying or reported Umar as saying the narrator is doubtful if one of you has two piece of cloth he should pray in them if he has a single piece of cloth he should use it as a wrapper and should not hang it upon the shoulder like the Jews
  54. Narrated Buraydah Ibn AlHasib The Messenger of Allah prohibited us to pray in a sheet of cloth without crossing both its ends and he also prohibited us to pray in a wrapper without putting on a sheet
  55. Abu Dawud said The narrator Sulaiman said the Ayub said his two garments Amr said tow garments Ibn Ubaid said that Ayub said in two garments and Amr said in his two garments
  56. I swear by Allaah Allaah will accomplish this affair until a rider will travel between Sana and Hadramaut and he will not fear anyone except Allaah Most High nor will he fear the attack of a wolf on his sheep but you are making haste

  59. It wasnarrated that Ibn Abbas said Good men among whom was Umar Bin Khattab and the best of them in my view is Umar testifiedbefore me that the Messenger of Allah said There is noprayerafter Fajr until the sun has risen and there is no prayerafter theAsr until the sun has set
  60. Hesaid What is it He said Is there any time of the night ordaywhen it is disliked to perform prayer He said Yes when youhaveprayed the Subh then do not pray until the sun has risen foritrises between the two horns of Satan
  61. I heard theMessenger of Allah say Whoever among you sees an evilaction and he is able tochange it with his hand then change itwith his hand by takingaction if he cannot do so with histongue then with his tongue by speaking out and if he cannot thenwith his heart by hating itand feeling that it is wrong and thatis the weakest of faith
  62. It wasnarrated from Abdullah that the Messenger of Allah said Noone will enter Paradise who has pride in his heart equal totheweight of a grain of mustard seed and no one will enter Hell whohasfaith in his heart equal to the weight of a grain of mustard seed
  63. It wasnarrated that Anas Bin Malik said Fatimah said to me OAnas how did you manage to scatter dust on the Messenger of Allah And Thabit narrated to us from Anas that Fatimah said WhentheMessenger of Allah passed away O my father To Jibrailweannounce his death O my father how much closer he is now to hisLord O my father the Paradise of Firdaws is his abode O my father he has answered the call of his Lord

It was narrated from Abdullah Bin Buraidah that his father said The Prophet saas heard a man say Allahumma Inni asaluka bi annaka Antallah AlAhadus Samad alladhi lam yalid wa lam yuwlud wa lam yakun lahu kufuwan ahad O Allah I ask You by virtue of Your being Allah the One the Self Sufficient Master Who begets not nor was begotten and there is none co equal or comparable to Him
  65. Malik related to me from Da ud ibn al Husayn from Abu Ghatafanibn Tarif al Muriyi that Umar ibn al Khattab said If someone gives agift to strengthen ties with a relative or as sadaqa he cannot haveit returned

Yahya said that he heard Malik say The generally agreed on way of doing things in our community is thatif the gift is returned to the one who gave it for recompense and itsvalue has been either increased or decreased the one to whom it hasbeen given gives the owner its value on the day he received it
  67. Yahya related to me from Malik from Said ibn Abi Said al Maqburithat Ubayd ibn Jurayj once said to Abdullah ibn Umar Abu Abd ar Rahman I have seen you doing four things which I have never seen anyof your companions doing

He said What are they Ibn Jurayj andhe replied I have seen you touching only the twoYamani corners Ihave seen you wearing hairless sandals I have seen you using yellowdye and when you were at Makka and everybody had started doingtalbiya after seeing the new moon I saw that you did not do so untilthe eighth of Dhu l Hijja

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abu Ubayd the mawla ofSulayman ibn Abd al Malik from Ata ibn Yazid al Laythi that AbuHurayra said Whoever says Glory be to Allah Subhana llah thirty three times and Allah is Greater Allahu akbar thirty three timesand Praise be to Allah al hamdu lillah thirty three times andseals the hundred with There is no god but Allah alone without anypartner
  70. The Kingdom and praise belong to Him and He has power overeverything La ilaha illa llah wahdahu la sharika lah lahu l mulkuwa lahu l hamd wa huwa ala kulli shay in qadir after every prayerwill have his wrong actions forgiven him even if they are abundant asthe foam on the sea
