SunanAlTermithi-017-001-9842		Narrated AlZuhri: that Urqah said: I said to Aisha: I do not see anything wrong if someone does not go between AlSafa and AlMarwah; nor any harm if I do not go between them. She said: How horrible is what you have said O my nephew! The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would go between them; and the Muslims go between them. It was only that the people who assumed Ihram in the name of the false deity Mannah; which was in AlMushallal; would not go between AlSafa and AlMarwah. So; Allah Blessed and Most High revealed: So it is not a sin for those who perform Hajj or go Umrah to the House to go between them 2:158. And if it were as you say; then it would be: Then there is no harm on him if he does not go between them. AlZuhri said: I mentioned that to Abu Bakr Bin Abdulrahman Bin AlHarith Bin Hisham. He was surprised at that and he said: Indeed this is knowledge. I had heard some men among the people of knowledge saying that those Arabs who would not go between AlSafa and AlMarwah said; that going between these two rocks is a matter from Aljahiliyah. And others among the Ansar said: We have only been ordered with going around the House; we were not ordered to do so with AlSafa and AlMarwah. So Allah Most High revealed: Indeed AlSafa and AlMarwah are of the symbols of Allah... 2.158 Abu Bakr Bin Abdulrahman said: So I thought that it was revealed about these people; and those people. I said: I have entered Ihram for that for which the Proper had entered Ihram; He said: Have you brought a hadi sacrifical animal ? I said: No. He said: Then circumambulate the House and perform Sa between AlSafa and AlMarwah; then exit Ihram; so I circumambulated the House and performed Sa i between AlSafa and AlMarwah; then went to a woman of my people and she combed and washed my hair; I used to issue Fatwas to the people based on that; during the Khilafah of Abu Bakr and Umar. Then one day during Hajj season a man came to me and said: You do not know what the commander of the Believers has introduced concerning the rites. I said: O people; whoever heard our heard our Fatwa; let him not rush to follow it; for the commander of the Believers! Is coming to you; and you should follow him. When he came; I said: O Commander of the Believers! What is this that you have introduced concerning the rites? He said: If we follow the Book of Allah; then Allah; the Mighty and Sublime; says: And complete the Hajj and Umrah for Allah. SunanAlNasai-017-001-15911		It was narrated that Jabir Bin Abdullah said: We came in Ihram with the Messenger of Allah for Hajj alone Mufrad ; and Aisha came in Ihram for Umrah. Then; whe we were in Sarif her menses started. When we came; we circumambulated the Kabah and performed Sai between AlSafa and AlMarwah. Then; the Messenger of Allah commanded those of us who did not have a Hadi to exit Ihram. We said: Exit Ihram to what degree? He said Completely. So we had intercourse with out; wives put on perfume; and wore only four nights away from Arafat. The; we entered Ihram on the day of AlTarwiyah. The Messenger of Allah entered upon Aisha and found here weeping. He said: What is the matter with you? She said: I have got my menses and the people exited Ihram; but I did not exit Ihram or did I circumambulate the House; and the people are going for Hajj now. He said: This is something that Allah ahs decreed for the daughters of Adam. Perform Ghusl; then begin the Talbiyah for Hajj. So she did that and did all the rituals. Then; when she became pure; she circumambulated the House and Performed Sai between AlSafa and AlMarwah. Then; he said: You have exited Ihram from your Hajj and your Umrah at the same time. She said: O Messenger of Allah; I feel upset because I only circumambulated the House during my Hajj. He said: Take here; O Abdullah; to perform Umrah from AlTanim. And that was on the night of AlHasbah the twelfth night of Dhu AlHijja. SunanAlNasai-017-001-15912		It was narrated that Aisha said: We set out with the Messenger of Allah for the Farewell Pligrimage and we entered Ihram for Umrah; then the Messenger of Allah said: Whoever has a Hadi with him; let him enter Ihram for both Hajj and Umrah; then do not exit Ihram until he exits Ihram for them both. I came to Makkah and I had my menses; so I did not circumambulate the House or Perform Sai between AlSafa and AlMarwah. I complained about that to the Messenger of Allah and he said: Undo your hair; and comb it; and enter Ihram for Hajj; and leave Umrah. When I had completed Hajj; the Messenger of Allah sent me with Abdulrahman Bin Abi Bakr to AlTanim; and I performed Umrah. He said: This is the place of your Umrah. Then those who had entered Ihram for Umar circumambulated the House and performed Sai between AlSafa and AlMarwah. Then they exited Ihram; then they performed Tawaf again; after they came back from Mina for their Hajj. As for those who combined Hajj and Umrah; they only performed one Tawaf. SunanAlNasai-017-001-16079		It was narrated that Amr said: I head Ibn Umar say - When we asked him about a man who came for Umrah; and perfomed Tawaf around the House; but did not perform Sai betwen AlSafa and AlMarwah; could he be intimate with his wife? He said: When the Messenger of Allah came; he circumambulated seven times; and prayed two Rakahs behind the Maqam; and performed Sai between AlSafa and AlMarwah. SunanAlNasai-017-001-16117		It was narrated that Urwah said: I asked Aisha about the words of Allah; the Mighty and Sublime: So it sin not a sin on him who perform Hajj or Umrah Pilgrimage of the House the Kabah at Makkah to perform the going Tawaf between them as-Safa and AlMarwah and I said : By Allah; there is no sin on anyone if he does not go between AlSafa and AlMarwa. Aisha said: What a bad thing you said; O son of my brother! If this Ayah was as you have interpreted it; there would be no sin on a person if he did not go between them. But it was revealed concering the Ansar. Before they accepted Islam; they sued to enter Ihram for the false goddess Manat whom they used to worship at AlMushallal. Whoever enter Ihram for her would refrain from going between AlSafa and AlMarwah. When they asked the Messenger of Allah about that; Allah; the Might and Sublime; revealed: Verily AlSafa and AlMarwah Two mountains in Makkah are of the Symbols of Allah. So it is not a sin on him who performs Hajj or Urmrah Pilgrimage of the House the Kabah at Makkah to perform the going Tawaf between them As-Safa and AlMarwah. Then the Messenger of Allah enjoined going between them so no one has the right to refrain from going between them. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-25450		Jabir said We went out along with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ raising our voices in talbiyah for Hakk alone Ifrad while Aisha raised her voice in talbiyah for an Umrah. When she reached Sarif; she menstruated. When we came to Makkah we circumambulated the Kabah and ran between AlSafa and AlMarwah. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then commanded us that those who had not brought sacrificial animals withthem should put off their ihram after Umrah. We asked Which acts are lawful and which not ? He replied All acts are lawful that are permissible usually. We had therefore intercourse with our wives; used perfumes; put on our clothes. There remained only four days to perform Hajj at Arafat. We then raised our voice in talbiyah wearing Ihram for Hajj on the eighth of Dhu AlHijja. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon Aisha and found her weeping. He said What is the matter with you? My problem is that I have menstruated; while the people have put on their ihram but I have not done so; nor did I go round the House the Kabah. Now the people are proceeding for Hajj. He said This is a thing destined by Allah to the daughters of Adam. Take a bath; then raise your voice in talbiyah for Hajj i.e; wear ihram for Hajj. She took a abtah and performed all the rites of the Hajj lit. she stayed at all those places where the pilgrims stay. When she was purified; she circumambulated the House the Kabah ; and ran between AlSafa and AlMarwah. He the Prophet said Now you have performed both your Hajj and your Umrah. She said Messenger of Allah; I have some misgiving in my mind that I did not go round the Kabah when I performed Hajj in the beginning. He said Abdulrahman her brother ; take her and have her perform Umrah from AlTanim. This happened on the night of AlHasbah i.e.; the fourteenth of Dhu AlHijja. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-25457		Narrated Abdullah Ibn Abbas: The Prophet ﷺ raised his voice in talbiyah for hajj. When he came to Mecca he went round the House the Kabah and ran between AlSafa and AlMarwah. The narrator Ibn Shawkar said: He did not clip his hair; nor did he take off his ihram due to sacrificial animals. But he commanded those who did not bring sacrificial animals with them to go round the Kabah; to run between AlSafa and AlMarwah; to clip their hair; and then put off their ihram. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-25566		Urwa Bin AlZubair said I said to Aisha; wife of the Prophet ﷺ while I was a boy. What do you think about the pronouncement of Allaah; the Exalted Lo! The Mountains AlSafa and AlMarwah are among the indications of Allaah. I think there is no harm for anyone if he does not run between them. Aisha may Allah be pleased with her said Nay; had it been so as you said; it would have been thus. It is no sin on him not to go around them. This verse was revealed about the Ansaar; they used to perform hajj for Manat. Manat was erected in front of Qudaid. Hence they used to avoid going around AlSafa and AlMarwah. When Islam came; they asked the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ about it. Allaah; the Exalted therefore revealed the verse Lo! The Mountains AlSafa and AlMarwah are among the indications of Allaah.
