SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1535 | Narrated: Abu Abdulrahman and Hibban Bin Atiya had a dispute. Abu Abdulrahman said to Hibban; You know what made your companions i.e. Ali dare to shed blood. Hibban said; Come on! What is that? Abdulrahman said; Something I heard him saying. The other said; What was it? Abdulrahman said; Ali said; Allah Messenger ﷺ sent for me; AlZubair and Abu Marthad; and all of us were cavalry men; and said; Proceed to Raudat-Hajj Abu Salama said that Abu Awana called it like this; i.e.; Hajj where there is a woman carrying a letter from Hatib Bin Abi Baltaa to the pagans of Mecca. So bring that letter to me. So we proceeded riding on our horses till we overtook her at the same place of which Allah Messenger ﷺ had told us. She was traveling on her camel. In that letter Hatib had written to the Meccans about the proposed attached of Allah Messenger ﷺ against them. We asked her; Where is the letter which is with you? She replied; I havent got any letter. So we made her camel kneel down and searched her luggage; but we did not find anything. My two companions said; We do not think that she has got a letter. I said; We know that Allah Messenger ﷺ has not told a lie. Then Ali took an oath saying; By Him by Whom one should swear! You shall either bring out the letter or we shall strip off your clothes. She then stretched out her hand for her girdle round her waist and brought out the paper letter. They took the letter to Allah Messenger ﷺ. Umar said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Hatib has betrayed Allah; His Apostle and the believers; let me chop off his neck! Allah Messenger ﷺ said; O Hatib! What obliged you to do what you have done? Hatib replied; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Why for what reason should I not believe in Allah and His Apostle? But I intended to do the Mecca people a favor by virtue of which my family and property may be protected as there is none of your companions but has some of his people relatives whom Allah urges to protect his family and property. The Prophet ﷺ said; He has said the truth; therefore; do not say anything to him except good. Umar again said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! He has betrayed Allah; His Apostle and the believers; let me chop his neck off! The Prophet ﷺ said; Isnt he from those who fought the battle of Badr? And what do you know; Allah might have looked at them Badr warriors and said to them ; Do what you like; for I have granted you Paradise? Muhammad Bin Seereen said; But I say this. He said; It used to be said; There are three types of dreams: The reflection of one thoughts and experiences one has during wakefulness; what is suggested by Satan to frighten the dreamer; or glad tidings from Allah. So; if someone has a dream which he dislikes; he should not tell it to others; but get up and offer a prayer. He added; He Abu Huraira hated to see a Ghul i.e.; iron collar around his neck in a dream and people liked to see fetters on their feet in a dream. Make him firm and one who guides others and is guided on the right path. Since then I have never fallen from a horse. Dh All-Khulasa was a house in Yemen belonging to the tribe of Khatham and Bajaila; and in it there were idols which were worshipped; and it was called AlKaba. Then came Umar and he sought permission and it was granted to him; and he found Allah Apostle ﷺ sitting sad and silent with his wives around him. He Hadrat Umar said: I would say something which would make the Prophet ﷺ laugh; so he said: Messenger of Allah; I wish you had seen the treatment meted out to the daughter ofKhadija when you asked me some money; and I got up and slapped her on her neck. Allah Messenger mav ﷺ laughed and said: They are around me as you see; asking for extra money. Abu Bakr Allah be pleased with him then got up went to Aisha Allah be pleased with her and slapped her on the neck; and Umar stood up before Hafsa and slapped her saying: You ask Allah Messenger ﷺ which he does not possess. They said: By Allah; we do not ask Allah Messenger ﷺ for anything he does not possess. Then he withdrew from them for a month or for twenty-nine days. Then this verse was revealed to him: Prophet: Say to thy wives... for a mighty reward xxxiii. 28. He then went first to Aisha Allah be pleased with her and said: I want to propound something to you; Aisha; but wish no hasty reply before you consult your parents. She said: Messenger of Allah; what is that? He the Holy Prophet recited to her the verse; whereupon she said: Is it about you that I should consult my parents; Messenger of Allah? Nay; I choose Allah; His Messenger; and the Last Abode; but I ask you not to tell any of your wives what I have said He replied: Not one of them will ask me without my informing her. God did not send me to be harsh; or cause harm; but He has sent me to teach and make things easy. | The Chapter on Wishes And Grants in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 4 in Sahih Muslim | |

SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-25052 | Narrated Salamah Ibn Sakhr AlBayadi: I was a man who was more given than others to sexual intercourse with women. When the month of Ramadan came; I feared lest I should have intercourse with my wife; and this evil should remain with me till the morning. So I made my wife like my mother back to me till the end of Ramadan. But one night when she was waiting upon me; something of her was revealed. Suddenly I jumped upon her. When the morning came I went to my people and informed them about this matter. I said: Go along with me to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. They said: No; by Allah. So I went to the Prophet ﷺ and informed him of the matter. He said: Have you really committed it; Salamah? I said: I committed it twice; Messenger of Allah. I am content with the Commandment of Allah; the Exalted; so take a decision about me according to what Allah has shown you. He said: Free a slave. I said: By Him Who sent you with truth; I do not possess a neck other than this: and I struck the surface of my neck. He said: Then fast two consecutive months. I said: Whatever I suffered is due to fasting. He said: Feed sixty poor people with a wasq of dates. I said: By Him Who sent you with truth; we passed the night hungry; there was no food in our house. He said: Then go to the collector of sadaqah of Banu Zurayq; he must give it to you. Then feed sixty poor people with a wasq of dates; and you and your family eat the remaining dates. Then I came back to my people; and said to them : I found with you poverty and bad opinion; and I found with the Prophet ﷺ prosperity and good opinion. He has commanded me to give alms to you. MuwataMalik-017-001-34922 | Yahya related to me from Malik from Zayd Ibn Aslam that the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; said; If someone changes his deen - strike his neck! The meaning of the statement of the Prophet; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; in our opinion and Allah knows best; is that if someone changes his deen; strike his neck! refers to those who leave Islam for other than it - like the heretics and their like; about whom it is known. They are killed without being called to tawba because their tawba is not recognised. They were hiding their kufr and publishing their Islam; so I do not think that one calls such people to tawba; and one does not accept their word. As for the one who goes out of Islam to something else and divulges it; one calls him to tawba. If he does not turn in tawba; he is killed. If there are people in that situation; I think that one should call them to Islam and call them to tawba. If they turn in tawba; that is accepted from them. If they do not turn in tawba; they are killed. That does not refer as we see it; and Allah knows best; to those who come out of Judaism to Christianity or from Christianity to Judaism; nor to someone who changes his deen from the various forms of deen except for Islam. Whoever comes out of Islam to other than it and divulges that; that is the one who is referred to; and Allah knows best! | The Chapter on Killing And Forgiveness in HodHood Indexing, The Book of The Evil Eye in Muwata Malik |
